“We’re picking our battles” that’s honestly the most important thing I learned in my weight loss journey especially this year. I love cooking and making my own stuff, but things like seitan, and even rice for example - if I don’t have time or energy I’m just getting the best convenience version possible and I feel absolutely no shame in that. Even if it costs me a couple calories here and there it’s not that serious; adherence and consistency are way more important. Also thanks so much for starting off with that great story. I work in education too and this time of year is pretty difficult. Hearing something like that is heartwarming and motivating!
Glad you liked the sushi place, we love the rolls. We will have to try your Mexican place. Glad we live in a city with many grocery store options but wouldn’t it be nice to have a store with nothing but whole plant foods and we could just shop ONE place and be done for the day.
You’re so lucky you can count your calories and macros and not cause a binge. I’ve been battling the restrict/binge cycle for decades. I know I have to be in a calorie deficit to lose the weight but I keep trying and I never make it. Any advice there? You also have each other which is an added bonus to stay on track. Well done you’re both looking amazing ❤
I get the hydrogen peroxide thing. Ever since I had Covid, I get sores in my mouth and if I swish and gargle with HP every night I can keep them under control. Great haul guys!
I know some people complain that vegan food is expensive, but not really. Lex's food cost is probably more than the 2 of you combined. It depends on what you are eating.
Very interesting. I have added some of the items to my grocery list. I can't believe y'all don't have more subscribers! Please remember to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE! TY
He works in Pathology, he is part of donor network and he manages ALS patients who are about to pass as the team works to try and understand ALS and how to combat it.
So I am limiting my calories to stuff that gives me enough protein. Potatoes are high in calories with very little protein. I can eat them (and I do in this Tuesday's video) If I pair them with a low calorie/high protein item like seitan. But I took in way too many calories on Starch Solution.

I write out a “loose” plan for 5 or 6 meals to make during the week, take inventory in cabinets and freezer then shop for what I need
Great haul!
Another terrific video!

I LOVE the builder bars! I feel like the don’t have the best calorie to protein ratio tho
Awesome haul- especially the Seitan. What job does Tim have that he is on-call for 24 hours?

@@PlantBasedDads awesome- as a critical care nurse I hope they find the answers to that dreadful disease
Would love to see the sandwich you mentioned. Sweet potato seitan 😊
Very interesting. What was the total cost of that grocery haul?

I don’t see potatoes. Do you guys eat potatoes? I’m really having trouble with weight gain using the starch solution.
