are the kidney basins sterile in UK? otherwise it's not acceptable do put catheter on it. could you please explain?

yes, everything is sterile, comes in a sterile closed pack. Also the Instillagel and the water for inflating the baloon are usually already in a sterile prefilled syringe .
When cleaning the gland, the cleaning should be done from meatus away ( from distal to proximal).

Shouldn’t we attach the urine bag before inserting the catheter fully? Won’t the urine spill on the bed?

Here we pass it first, wait for urine to come (you can keep a kidney tray or cotton pad/tissue) and only then attach the bag
