Hey man like I said to Bobby , Thanks to you and him for the info on starting a trucking channel mine should be started this weekend !! Thank you guys and stay safe bro bro 🤟🏾
when you want to get the pins to go back in after sliding your tandems using an pneumatic pin system, you should really release your trailer brakes for a few seconds, let it get some air back in the pins, it will push the pins back out. then do a quick tug test make sure they are set. then release the trailer brakes (only) again and then do your walk around and make sure they are set. this will also let you know if you have an air leak. in the pin system as you will hear it since releasing the brakes pushes the pins into the locked position automatically, and if something happened and they didnt set you will also see that they didnt set (though you probably should have felt that when you did your tug test as well. in the about 7 years of driving pneumatic pin trailers i have had them fail in both of these ways, as well as just not working at all from a complete air line block on a pin. you really dont want to get down the road and then realize that your tandems didnt lock in place. or have an air line failure while doing 60 on the interstate from the pin system, which i have also had happen. and have your trailer dump all its air. @Tiki

When you get pulled in....BE SURE to put your ELD in roadside inspection mode. This limits what the cop can see. If you hand them your open ELD, they can look at ALL of your logs and ticket you accordingly.

You use your phone for GPS? Thought you had to use a special GPS that’s for truckers?
Which GoPro are you using? The footage looks really crisp.
GoPro Hero 10 Black! They're on sale on the GoPro website right now.
How long did you stay with Schneider and why did you leave
he got fired for vlogging
Love the vids but you crack me up talking like you been at it 10 yrs lol... keep ballin bro
Wish you guys had 48 state otr then I would consider you guys lol but love vids
For my cousin he’s looking for a company
Tiki, did Schneider trained you well?
They fired him so guessing not
When you get pulled in....BE SURE to put your ELD in roadside inspection mode. This limits what the cop can see. If you hand them your open ELD, they can look at ALL of your logs and ticket you accordingly.
Hmm, good to know. I was pulled in for inspection at a weigh station and the dot officer requested to have me back out of the roadside inspection mode. Am I allowed to decline that request?
@@TikiTheTrucker Yes you absolutely are. The roadside inspection mode provides them all the info they are legally entitled to. They aren't allowed to ask you to do that. CYA!
@@GrammarPoliceInvestigations Then, what is point of them to ask driver to put out of roadside inspection mode?! It is good to know, anyway.
@@ImportedFromSerbia They can't ask you to do that. If they do, refuse.
Tiki, can you please recommend an affordable and yet reliable phone for using google gps like you do on the road?
Number of pull ups as trucker and at the gym are opposite - less is better for driver, more is better for gym!
Whatever it takes to do it correctly and safely is the right number
Know you dont work for schneider but do the trainers there actually have 2 students in the truck at a time
Yeah, Pare! 🤙🏾
I sit here and watch all these youtubers bragging about their mega carriers they work for and its a total face palm. Mega carriers are not your friend. I'm glad you seen the light and didn't go with another trash mega carrier. You got fired for a dumb reason. As a real owner operator myself, I can tell you my insurance doesn't prevent me from talking to a camera. If it was a problem, your current employer wouldn't have hired you.
Keep up the good work. Support mom and pop carriers, not these heartless mega carriers.
Exactly
I thought you were with Ledgend. You said Yuba City and I see there trucks All The Time. If your not with Ledgend, then I will be waiting to hear.
Definitely had everyone guessing it was Legend haha. Great guess though! Red Cascadia from Yuba City, you would assume it's a Legend truck.
First ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
Same here
Hey there… new cdl Driver…. Lucky enough I got a local job…. Straight out of paid school…. What was your weight on your truck drives tandem trailer ?????? And how do you deal with being away from the family I’m guessing you’re home for your 34 hour reset???? I’m pretty sure that’s not enough time I’m coming home every day and barely have any time to eat shower and go to sleep…..
if you drive locally, then companies hold you for max allowance hours on road/work. shortage of drivers and a lot of work are two key elements that, not only you, but all drivers are on long hours set. keep rolling. set you future goal to become O/O and be your own boss ( have own authority).
Definitely get a Kenworth over a freightliner/volvo etc. Would be even better if you got a W900, 389 or a western star though
tiki whats good boi? we miss u my guy..... u back boss? do yo think ya heard me....
Hey Tiki is working here possible without being in California? let me know man. thanks bro
looked like medford.
what kind of truck are you in now since you work for a smaller company?? is it just as good and comfortable and maintained or naw??
Yooh my man Tiki i really admire your videos and the way you are passionate in this world. Im looking for a way to get into this industry but im down here in Kenya...can you do some helping please??
Tiki get your cousins driving they could be your first employees with your little trucking company in a few years
Trust me, I'm trying haha.
One more question did you have to parallel park during your test?
nice video man... what company should i start out with?, talking with a recruiter of schneider at the moment should i work acoulple months there or do you know of a company better?
If u live in the right city there is endless options, even as a new driver. Schneider is garbage
How much is the pay weekly
I haven't had a full blown week yet so I'm not sure haha. All the other drivers with the company are happy with the pay, so I'm keeping good faith they the full pay checks will make me happy as well.
