Just FYI, Dream Yacht Charters will rent out a cabin on a crewed boat. Met a guy at Beef Island airport who had just done this for the X amount of times and loves it. Just him since his wife hates sailing. So there are companies out there that do rent by the cabin. BTW, REALLY enjoy your videos and delivery. Thanks for putting these videos together. I have been elected to put a trip together for May of '23 so I am gathering info. You are providing a wealth of great info. Thanks Paul & Linda s/v The Friendly Confines
These are great videos and very helpful. Spent alot of time in the US/BVIs but chartering my first trip with the Moorings at the end of June. They just lifted the quarantine requirements. Thank god!
Really appreciate your videos. Very well done and great info. I'd like to add a few questions: 1) BVI - is there a time of the year that you've found is better than other times. Better weather, less crowded etc. 2) Generator - I've been running a class A motorhome and do my best to minimize generator usage when camping to avoid the noise and disruption to the rest of the campers. Do you/others in the mooring fields run generators at night? Find that you need your AC at night or is it cool enough to be comfortable without AC?
Solid videos huge help for someone who wants to do this one day, but knows absolutely nothing about boats or chartering. I do have a question, have you ever done the USVI via charter? We’ve been to STJ a ton, and seen all the charters. Thanks again.
Leverick! Bitter End is still not fully open. And it’s a shell of its former self. Obviously not enough financial backing to rebuild into its former glory.
@@thewanderinghillbilly the toilet paper is fish food? - I love all the content and the info. Just not sure that black water (which contains not only human waste but chemical products used like soap is freely dumped in the ocean) Just seems odd to do that.
It really depends on how old and how long the boat has been in circulation for chartering. I've had continuous issues with boats that are in the 3-5 year old range. I even had to have Marine Max bring me a new 484 once cause the old one I had just kept breaking down. Usually, it's generator related...electrical. If I am able to charter a newer boat, then I really hardly ever have any issues. These vessels get worn out by end of their 2nd year. I've never had a "switch" from what I've chartered in advance. Meaning I've always been given exactly what I ordered. Great question! Thanks for watching.

We put bidet seats on our heads- reduces a ton of paper usage and issues associated with it- just a thought
Thanks for this!
Excellent, thank you for answering my questions.

If you had to choose to moor at Leverick Bay or Bitter End after a day at the Baths, which one would you pick?

Thanks! We love watching your videos! We’ll be hitting the BVI water with the Moorings in a 514PC end of June! Cheers!
Hi! Any tips on which mooring balls you like the best/try to pick at Cooper, Leverick, Norman and Great Harbour JVD? Thanks!
What settings do you use on your gopro??? I am a gopro virgin. Have played with it some but it looks nothing like yours???
Why power cats vs sailing?
Question - isn’t disposing black water in the ocean is polluting the ocean?
Not at all. It’s a big world. Fish food! Thanks for watching

I see a lot of reviews saying the boats break down a lot and also people not getting the boats they paid for. Any experience with this?
