So nice to have friends that will help with your RV! Fingers crossed they find a way to assist with the slide outs. Cool light sabre, our 35 yr old son would absolutely love that one! Jax weight is awesome! So glad you found a Vet to let you be in with Jax!!! Aww Jax-man is just showing his age. I am sure you will keep a close eye on him like you always have. You have given him a loving, caring, special home and friendship!!
Hi Eric I had a 14 year old cat that had a heart murmur, we were monitoring it closely because if left unchecked it could cause problems like hardening of the heart walls. My cat also had other issues, pancreatitis and kidney disease and it was kidney failure that ultimately took her life, which was unrelated to the heart murmur. We had been in discussion with our vet to take her to a cardiologist for her murmur and if she had lived long enough that is what we would have done. My advice is not to wait another year, a year is a long time in a cats life until his next exam but to seek out a cardiologist for an indepth exam. Remember that a regular veterinarian is the equivalent of a human general practice doctor, if we have heart issues, they would recommend going to a cardiologist. My own GP doctor sent me to a cardiologist when he noticed something on my EKG, fortunately the cardiologist said it was nothing to worry about. If possible I would take Jax to a major teaching veterinary hospital, which should have a cardiology department, they would probably recommend doing an ultra sound to get a better look at Jax’s heart walls which is what our local vet was suggesting. In Florida I would go to the cardiology department at the small animal hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville. It’s not something that you immediately need to do, but should do it within the next few months but the sooner the better just in case there is some medicine that Jax can be put on if needed. Just my thoughts Mr. Elliott
My kitty Julia was diagnosed with a heart murmur when she was around Jax’s age. She lived to age 22 & generally was a healthy cat throughout her life, other than her heart murmur. I think with all the love you give Jax he still has many healthy years ahead. Fingers crossed! 🤞🏻
Yes my dog have major stress issues now when going to the vet not to mention we moved to another state since a this started so everything is new to him , it took two us all we could do to get him out of the truck the last time . I hope Jax will be fine and I thought he looked like he lost some weight be safe guys .
My cat Tobi had significant weight loss despite eating like a pig. He was 19+. He was diagnosed with kidney failure. He passed 11/30/20. Great companion.
Bless Jax heart.💓 I have a mild murmur as well, at one time nobody detected it. Then now my murmur has reappeared. I can Slightly feel the effects of my murmur at times. I know you'll read up on Jaxes issue. I'm very interested in how Jax does.
Eric, I wonder if it could be the food that is causing the heart murmur? I know in the dog world there is alarm that the dog food is causing heart problems. You might want to look into that. I'm getting ready to take my dog in because she has been on a grain free food for most of her life and she is now having symptoms that she is struggling health wise. Do your research! Congrats to you and Jax for getting his weight down! 🥳👊 He looks so good. He's such a beautiful kitty!
Prayers for you and Jax. We pray that the heart is good ,and I believe with the good care you give him Jax has no problems to worry about. Much love to you and Jax both. Be safe at that place your at so you don't get attached . Might should saddle up and head on outta there. LATTA!
Jax is looking good. As for the grumpy guy....my sister lives in Lakeland and when we travel to see family there, I would love to know where this is. That way I can be prepared for Mr. Grumpy...Oh! I'm 55yrs old and I remember going to that Flea Market when I was 16yrs old. I think the last time I went there I was in my 20s.
Eric I hope you are having a blood panel done at some point. They need to check his enzymes and things for Kidney function. Our 12 year old kitty Patches last 3lbs in 3 weeks. We sadly had to let her go see her big sister Zoey. If caught early this is something that can be treated. But a blood test is needed to test for Creatine levels. Thank you for all your videos. Very much appreciate it. Travel safe
I don't like it when one vets information gets automatically passed on to the next vet, because then the next vet may just agree with the first vet and not even bother checking to see if the cat ever even had the condition that the first vet gave. I never tell the next vet what the first one said. I want each vet to check for everything and not be lazy and rely on the prior vets opinion. I want facts, not opinions. Most people with jobs are on drugs anything, so its good thst we keep them on their toes and make them work.
You were real close to where I live. That camp ground is not in a great part of town so glad you got out of there in one piece. Not sure if this pertains to cats but, I had a dog who passed away from suspected cardiac issues. My vet who is awesome felt it was related to the grain free good I was feeding him. Not trying to say this is Jax's problem but, just thought it was worth mentioning. Take care.
I think I stayed at this campground last winter. Is there a shooting range there? We didn't have any problems last year. That's a shame. Glad Jax is doing well. He's such a good boy. Love you Jax. I used to live in Lakeland. Used to love it there but that was around 30 years ago.
I understand your concern over sweet Jax having a heart murmur, it can be a frightening thing to hear the vet say. I don't think you have anything to worry about, you are doing everything to prevent it from progressing and many pets have had this diagnosis and they live a long life. I had a dog that was diagnosed with one, a year later, when I took her to the vet for her yearly exam and shots, the vet didn't hear it and never did hear it again, it certainly wasn't her cause of death. Jax is a contented kitty and that keeps him in good health too. I am sure that you and Jax have many more happy years together 🙂 Sorry about the rude guy where you stayed, people like that should not be in the hospitality industry.
🦋🇬🇧Jax will be ok , his heart 💓 skipped a beat as he saw those injections ,... great flea market You never know what you can find , power tools bargain ... Jax staring squirrel 🐿 out priceless ... love the light sabre x Looking forward to next instalment lulu and family XX I have one to catch up on xx
Great video as always Eric and Jax looks soooo skinny! What a good boy! Bummer about Lakeland because there are so many great locations and attractions in the Tampa Bay area that you and your subscribers would enjoy especially as Tampa Bay spends over $10 million dollars at the Raymond James Stadium in preparation for Super Bowl LV! I've forwarded your information to a local TH-camr Tampa Jay so you can perhaps meetup and possibly collaborate. Tampa Jay has some great travel videos including a tour of the Hemingway House in Key West and POV encounters with the very cool polydactyl Hemingway kitties that live there in a lap of Key West luxury. You're welcome to park your Class C in Zephyrhills in a safe, secure Jax friendly RV Park where I reside next to Zephyr Park or enjoy the 2 Walmart Supercenters for FREE in Zephyrhills and Wesley Chapel. Stay Safe Eric and be sure to give Jax some treats for me! Cat Fancier Christopher
my kitty has a heart murmur too. she's not overweight, actually the opposite. i can't keep weight on her. sometimes renal disease or thyroid will create it so it might be woth checking that. she's happy and healthy and going strong so she's doing just fine!
You might want to check out the correlation between grain free cat food and heart disease in kitties. I've seen a few articles mentioning a connection. Jax is such a handsome kitty. So much personality. Glad you were able to get into a vet who allowed you to be there with him.
Woo hoo Jax!!!! That's awesome to lose that much weight....you've both done well! Hope the heart murmer settles down. I know people can have that if they are deficient in magnesium. Don't know if cats could have the same?? Hope you get answers. Give Jax an extra snuggle from us! 💕
So glad all is going ok, yes you are a great Cat Dad he will be fine! So glad to see you down here in our neighborhood! I'm located north of Tampa! Be safe, Thanks for all your shares Eric! So glad you had fun in Orlando!
Eric you are a great daddy to Jax. I'm a big dumb guy so I'm not supposed to get emotional but when I saw how you interacted with Jax at the Vet office I got a little emotional. With regards to the heart murmour I have heard that it can be common with cats. But good for you for monitoring it.
I wondered if you were headed to Lakeland when you talked about taking Jax to a vet about an hour or so away from Orlando. I use a vet over on Socrom Loop Road on Lakeland's north side. They were very good with my kitty Macy. Lakeland is a nice city. Actually, Market World is in Auburndale. I live a mile from there. Wish I'd known you were there, we could have dropped by and said Hi. My hubby loves the Ryobai dealer there! If we had known you were in Auburndale, you could have camped in our driveway for free. We have RV Electrical hook ups on the house. Never used them yet. Next time you are in the area, make plans to visit the Circle B Bar Reserve. You can walk along the paths and see the alligators up close and personal.
I want a Train Horn sound off/competition of your RV to my 2006 Scion XB!! You won't win (I can also do mine by remote)!! Whether it be in St Louis/Illinois/KC where I'm at!! BTW, I have a hidden Nathan AirChime K3LA with a 13 gallon air tank 1/2" piped [NOT 1/2" hose] and yes it EATS the air. Plus I have a Graham White E-Bell.
By the way, don’t worry about the heart murmur thing. Was told the exact same thing for 2 cats that lived long and happy lives. Don’t go looking for problems in an otherwise healthy cat. As the old saying goes, “you never ask a barber if you need a haircut!”
Eric, there’s a good chance that Jax is probably ok. My little guy is likely around 16 now...my vet diagnosed him with a mild heart murmur about three years ago. He’s been through diabetes (in remission for awhile now, thankfully!), kidney disease, seizures, high blood pressure..and the vet has always seemed pretty unconcerned about the heart murmur, unless it were to get worse. So far it never has...he’s a happy active older cat otherwise with a good appetite, as Jax seems to be. Good for you for keeping after his weight, for sure! If you’ve never had his blood pressure checked, it might not be a bad idea, if he’ll tolerate it.
Just south of Ocala fl. Is markets of marion , a gigantic flea market, I think it was on hwy 27 .. cool place, jax will be ok, just keep an eye on him.
WOW what a great weight loss!!!! We have a cat with a heart murmur and he is growing to be a happy old man. Jax will be fine because he has a great father. :))))
Aw u take such good care of Jax...i have changed our cat's diet due to some.problems...there is a TH-cam channel call veterinary secrets that offers great natural advice for cats and dogs ...🐈 keep the great content coming 👍
I'm guessing you're glad Jax's annual is done, likely he's gonna be fine! Too bad that place you stayed is so sub par, as it looked like a really cool spot. Be well and travel safe. Since I grew up in Tumwater I feel we are sorta connected. God Bless
Sorry to hear about Jax. I'm a medical asst. And a heart mumor can be pretty innocent if he stays healthy. Good luck Jax. Exercise and eat good for a long life as a king cat.
New to your channel. Tell you now I’ll be a fan for life with Jax. I’d always wondered can you travel with your cat? My cat Benny will stress you out 3 days before ever going to vet. Proud of you Jax Man for losing all that weight! And you too Eric for helping him. As for the murmurs I have one too lol. Doesn't affect me at all 😁 love to Jax!
It's so sad people nowadays you work with customers .You would think they would be happy that you're there, giving them business during this crisis we're going through.don't let him get you down keep up your spirits be safe have fun at this flea market. 💓👍💓👍

WOW what a great weight loss!!!! We have a cat with a heart murmur and he is growing to be a happy old man. Jax will be fine because he has a great father. :))))
We had a calico cat with a heart murmur that lived for 20 years and three months. She was very active all the way to the end.
You are the best kitty Dad! Glad it went well hoping for continued good health!

Hello Eric! Looks like you all are having fun! Glad Jax is doing well!
Glad Jax is so ok other than the heart murmur he will be ok see ya Eric and Jax hugs always
I know that Jax will be just fine. He seems attentive and alert, it's only when those things go in a cat that you have to worry.
Glad to see jax did ok at the vets.Good for jax that he lost weight.(yeah!!!)

There's a large flea market Auburndale that is just south of Lakelans.
Way to go Jax! Keep up the good work.
Good news! Good boy!
I am enjoying your videos. I have two cats, Alvin 20lbs and Angel 10lbs. They are 13 years old. I plan to check out the Core food brand.
I just went through lakeland
Way to go Jax on the weight lose and hope all is well on the heart issue
I love when you do Jax's voice for him.
I love how you love Jax.
My almost 17 year old dog had a heart murmur for 7 years. It was severe before we put her on meds but there is currently no sign of the murmur. I would think there would be a similar type medication for cats.
You are back in my hometown of Lakeland! we should hang out Eric if you are still in town!
Glad Jax is doing well...try not to worry about the murmur. It happens to some of us as we age. He looks healthy and happy and so handsome!
WTG, Jax and Dad on the great visit. Murmur was prob due to surroundings. Spanish moss, so pretty. Real Fl. Yikes, stay away from that place. Be safe, and enjoy the temps. 😊👍
I miss going to flea markets
Jax looks and acts healthy. That is what's important.

You are such a wonderful Dad with Jax!! He is lucky to have you and you are lucky to have him.
What is your weight update ? Did you lose or gain since that diet last year
I'm not that surprised at Jax's weight loss; I'm actually more surprised that at his size, he could jump that far from the countertop to his buggy. That buggy was almost against the wall on the other side and I feared he wouldn't make it when he jumped. I thought he could only jump up and down and short distances (like from the ground to the picnic table bench to the top of the table).
👋🏻Florida ☀️🌴🇺🇸
We love flea markets. That campground host sounds very grumpy
AT 6:07 you could have picked up Accept's debut studio album for $22.00!!!
unless you did............. ;)
I glad for the both of you it all worked out at the vets. You looked and sounded very nervous to me.
That flea market reminds me of Keller's flea market in Savannah GA
Nice vet check for your good buddy.
Keep an eye out for a second cat if Jax would accept one. I’ve always managed to have an overlap. Till my last one. Cancer came in fast and I had to put him down. It took 4 horrible months without a cat to find another. It’s hard to accept but they don’t live as long as we do.
He sure doesn't lookl ike he needs to lose any more weight he looks terrific. We had a puppy once who had a heart murmur and the vet checked for hook worms and he had them, and we gave him the wormer and the murmur disappeared. Not sure how they were connected but something cheap worth trying!
Not a spanish moss tree....it’s a :Live Oak with Spanish Moss growing on it.
Check out Fantasy of Flight. Museum for classic aircraft, warbirds, seaplanes, almost all still in flight. About halfway between Tampa and Orlando.
I was afraid that something like this would happen, when Jax lost so much weight. Animals can have issues if they louse weight to quickly. I don’t know if the heart can repair it’s self or not. I hope this new diet works well for jaxs lots of luck. 👍💕
Othis type
I’ve had multiple cats with heart murmurs without any issues. We be ok. Hugs to Jackson and you.
That Ryobi is not a grinder. It's an oscillating saw.
I wanna meet you!! Come to Alabama 🙏🏼
Proud of you Jax Man for losing all that weight! And you too Eric for helping him. As for the murmurs I have one too lol. Doesn't affect me at all 😁 love to Jax!
