I think I may have seen this happen. In an older hospital in my area the way to public parking at the ER crossed in front of the ambulance bay. After dropping off a patient a car on its way to the public parking stopped in front of the ambulance bay, blocking it, because the lady inside was having her bay right then and there, driver ran inside to get the ER staff to help. We had to radio in a delay to dispatch.
The thing that baffled me the most was the 48 weeks pregnant. That lady have been through a lot

You’re correct. Typically the average pregnancy is 40 weeks give or take a couple days/weeks on either side.
I’m thinking he misspoke when he said 48 weeks, and maybe meant 38 weeks.
My last pregnancy I was almost exactly 42 weeks when I delivered, so 42 weeks and by that point I was more than eager to meet the baby and *extremely* uncomfortable etc.
I couldn’t imagine going 48 weeks lol

When my baby was 3 weeks old, his belly button stump looked super painful and was bleeding. He wouldn't stop crying and seemed really miserable. Took him to the pediatric ER and uh, he was fine lol. I felt so stupid. My mom took me to the ER when I was a baby because my ear smelled funny. I always made fun of her but I did the same damn thing. They were really understanding though.
I think it’s totally fine! If my baby was bleeding, I’d definitely go get some help.

@@RedT...TheOriginal.NotANumber I do understand. Yes, I am chronically ill, which makes me look like a frequent flyer at times. But I did have one of the Urgent Care docs tell me that one good thing about me is I come in knowing what is wrong and 99% of the time I am dead on.
But I have zero medical training (except working at an answering service back in the day), yet I speak the lingo. For example, my med list I will say I take blahblah 40mg BID, thisywhichy 5mcg QHS and yaddayadda 10mg PRN.
So I started calling myself a professional patient.

Eh, my mom had my brother at 50 weeks. Many women don't want a c-section or forcefully induced if they and the baby aren't unhealthy. He wasn't even overly huge. (I was born perfectly on time and was bigger than him at birth.)

This was funny. I really hope a pregnant lady wouldn’t be that stupid though. If you were that worried about your water breaking there are safer options. Adult diapers or pads for incontinence for example. I think since most women at least know about period pads they would try that if the other options weren’t available.
