we always fed our farm animals extra just before bedtime on super cold nights, because we knew that the extra food in their gut would do a lot to help keep them warm.

Honestly, I have watched most of the other family farm video’s and I have to say that yours are the absolute best! You love and care for your animals more and are always kind to each other without any negativity or harshness of word. I realize the hard work it takes to take care of the farm and each other and I wish you all the happiness and success you deserve. ❤️❤️
This was the cutest video. Gus and Loretta was too cute running up to the fence in hopes of getting a treat. Then Jessie was sure putting on a show running around like a little firecracker. Plus she kept edging Mildred on because she wanted her to run and play with her. Then once Mildred got running around she kept edging the goats on to play with her. They like that cooler weather. They are all too cute. I think the animals will start going in the barn once they get used to it. Especially on the cooler nights. That Holly is just too pretty sitting up in the truck like that.
The equine’s optimum favorite temperature is 55°. So the closer you get to that we get the happier they are. Also you might want to put down some lime to neutralize the urine that will accumulate under the mats😉
It's not only the cooler temperatures.. They are just happy farm animals that feel the love you guys give them.. Id love to be a animal living on y'all's farm..

Farmer's Almanac says it's going to be a colder than usual winter. It was snowing in Chicago yesterday. Also, see if there's a way to buy your shavings in bulk (you'll have to have a way to store it). So much less expensive than buying it bagged.
