If you get a chance when in China, go out and see the ancient villages of China. It’s an amazing experience! China's ancient villages, with their rich history, unique architecture, and serene natural surroundings, provide a fascinating glimpse into traditional Chinese culture. Do you have a favorite village you'd recommend visiting? www.youtube.com/@ChrisHereToday
The canals remind me Suzhou, which I visited in 2019. Lots of old buildings, but it was bustling with tourists, foreign as well as Chinese. It was cool going thru the shops, as well as buying fruit from locals selling it out in front of their house.
Also on the same trip I went to old Beijing, where a lot of houses are preserved, and it too was busy as many people still live there. Our tour group was treated to a home cooked lunch in one of the houses, made by the owner.
Expat Adventuring, you didn’t feature Shawan ancient town in Guangzhou in this video? It was also established during the Southern Song Dynasty about 800 years ago same as Nanshe ancient village. I just visited Shawan and Guangzhou. 😅

My dreams to spend 10 years go around China 😊😊
Believe me, if you want to truly understand China, 10 years is not enough.
China is so vast and diverse that you could spend a decade exploring China and never be bored.
China has the size of 2 eus put together.
The Best TH-camr ever. ❤

China looks more like the world of Star Trek.
