Both are great TE's but the nod goes to Kelce for me. Kittle blocks alot and that's great for his team on how they use him but doesn't get as nearly as much targets as Kelce does. Both have outstanding pass catching ability but I do wish Kittle got more targets thrown his way
i personally like Kittle better overall cuz he blocks like a damn lineman. i really think he could do a lot of what Kelce does if the 49ers featured and fed him the way the chiefs do Kelce

@@grichkatayou7558....The 49ers have a good receiving core. Didn't say the greatest but they get the job done. Deebo Samuels I would say is their go to receiver but you have McCafrey as well when sometimes he'll get in the slot as a receiver and not to mention him coming out the backfield running receiver routes. Very dangerous.

Kelce had a few 1000 yards receiving seasons in a row before Mahomes showed up.
He would have had 9 if he hadn’t taken the last game off (understanding what is more important ) .

Shannon isn't even in the debate. He's probably the most popular. Tony G and Gronk are the debate for now. Kelce will probably be in there when he's done.
If Kelce continues at the rate he's going with the numbers he's putting up, he will be considered the greatest TE to ever play. The numbers don't lie. I think he will surpass Shannon with his numbers. I don't know the exact stat but Kelce has surpassed Shannon in one category that is major. The Jerry Rice stat is even crazier considering Kelce is a TE and not a receiver. But, we shall see because Kelce is getting older now in football terms.

I think Kittle is more rounded. He doesn’t have as many big games because the Niners have more options. When the pass rush is heavy he’s always an extra blocker. When they play against a man defense with a below average rush, he goes for 6-100-1 or better.

Kelce has definitely taken then Tight End to new heights but to say he’s way better? He surpasses the Jerry Rice of Tight Ends in Tony Gonzalez. Although I would put Kittle in my top 7.
Gronk is Forsure still a debate though - Hands are just elite, blocking is better, route running was just as good, he was elusive and stronger. Finally JUST as clutch as Kelce.

Two different styles of TE. Kittle is for your traditional hand in the ground TE who can also catch and is agile. Kelce is a WR that just grew too much, so he’s physically impending but is a lot more savvy in the open field and may be a little more athletic at the top of his routes. Both greats.

@MUI_Fire....That's tough to say comparing Henry to McCafrey because if you just want to play smash mouth football and run the ball down a team's throat then I'm going with Henry. Your gonna get tired of constantly hitting him. He's bigger than most linebackers in the league. And shifty also for his size. But overall, you could do more with McCafrey because he's a great runner and he can come out the backfield and catch passes. Has great hands. Both great in their own right.

People try to act like blocking as a TE is as important as catching TDs. Breaking news, it’s not!
Blocking is as great. If your not blocking, the TD's might not be there that often because blocking is what executes plays. Think if Purdy or Mahomes didn't have protection. Their both not gonna hardly get any passes off. Alot of sacks.

When you make plays like he does, you’ll accept not being the best blocker

Besides me being a Niner fan look at the tape. Kittle is more physically violent, better blocker, faster and has more YAC. Kittles number is right there next to Kelce with 2nd-3rd string qb for all his career meanwhile Kelce had A Smith who was decent and then Mahomes . So who’s better? I’ll take Kittle.
