Unfortunately I can't say much since I didn't get a chance to ride it, but that surprises me about the suspension. I almost always prefer Yamaha's suspension over KTM's and never really think too much of it for a demo since the sag and clickers aren't set to my preference.
That 2 stroke blew past like you were standing still!! I currently ride a yz250 I turned into a woods bike. looking to upgrade. I prefer 2 strokes, but looking for an easier ride, I am hitting the late 40's mark and 2 strokes try and kill you, if not on the ball. I like the KTM XC-F 350 but damn they are expensive, do you think the KTM's are worth it even with the price tag?
I would personally not recommend this bike. It's very dated and heavy feeling, compared to the KTM and Husky bikes. Coming from a 450, you want to consider a KTM/Husky 350 4 stroke. Great bikes. However, we should see the FX redesigned later this year, following the yz450f and 250f.

I rode that bike last year and really liked it. This year it didn't feel as good. Suspension felt very harsh, power was just ok...

Did anything really change from 22? The 22 suspension was much stiffer than prior years. I had my 22 revalved for a plush feel.
Wouldnt mind trying one of these i have yet to ride anything this new. Looks like a nice mechine. Also the forist is reminiscent of Northern Virginia.
I'd try to test ride it along with the KTM XC-F to compare.
This is in Ohio.
In your humble opinion, what Bike would you recommend for me the 125X, 250X or that fine whip you just tested here?
I would recommend any of the KTM off-road bikes over the Yamahas. If you're set on dated 2 stroke models, go with the 125x for the fun factor.
I'd love to get a chance to revisit this bike especially if it were somewhat setup. This thing was stiff as hell and I never felt comfortable.
Another guy that rode it said the same thing in the comments.
Which one between the 250fx or 250 xcf do you prefer?
XC-F for sure. The FX is very dated.
@@ShiftGearsMoto finally i bough a the fx before the year change, i have already a 24 300xcw, thanks for the answer bud🤘🏻
Where is this riding at?
Crow Canyon in Ohio.
I wanna ride that thing soo bad man

I'd recommend all the KTM off-road bikes. The only advantage for Yamaha is the KYB suspension.
He was cruising it. Duh.
Tempted to sell my yz450f for a 250fx. Been digging the single track and trails. Seems like it'll be easier to handle. Any opinions?
