Ah, the ENFJ... Well, I've definitely found some ENFJ women attractive, and I can see how pairing with us INFPs can bring great things. However, as one of the other INFP TH-camrs warned, an ENFJ in a bad place is well... bad. From personal experience, I know this very well. In my experience, I have had to use introverted sensation to help slow down the ENFJ, to bring that sense of comfort and relaxation. Yes, I can see the ENFJs help INFPs get out of their shells. I can INFPs use their introverted feeling to help ENFJs with interactions with certain people, to stay away from certain kinds of people.
Just the mention of INFP x ENFJ makes me feel gushy. It is important to remember that everybody is an individual, and every type has upsides and downsides, but ENFJness is capable of all the great things I can't manage. One presumed ENFJ in particular just materialized in my personal space, and I was surprised to feel completely comfortable with it. I didn't struggle to present my thoughts coherently. I didn't feel disoriented, or misunderstood. As soon as she found me, I knew where I was and what I was doing. I thought she might be interested in me in particular, but when I asked her out, she was evasive. I realize that the way I feel around her is the way she makes everybody feel. Her talent for interacting people is exceptional. She seems so put together that I think most people would assume that she does it all effortlessly, but I think that she tries very hard to do her best and tends to be self-sacrificing. I gave her a box of band-aids as a way of saying that she should care for herself. It seemed like a weird gift that only I would think was significant, but she seemed to understand and value my sentiment. It's nice to think that, as a friend, she could help me grow, but I am afraid that my romantic interest in her would complicate a friendship between us. Maybe I should look elsewhere for fulfillment; but if she is representative of the ENFJ type, then I want more ENFJ in my life, please.
