I love mine so far. It is easy to use and quick. I always say” the drone you have with you is the one you will use”. I really like it as so simple and I dont need to stuff around with a controller. Palm take offs great. Phone control good. I love the audio merging feature. All I need is more batteries when I can get them ! The DJI flight or lightCut App is great for editing and handles the vertical output no problem. You juts need to keep the shooting in mind
Thanks for sharing your view. And basically I share it. As already stated in the video, the autonomous functions are great. Nevertheless the video quality is only so-so and the vertical recording is not given. From my point of view the main killer is that the drone is to big as it is not foldable. However for the shot in-between and some cool perspectives it is totally okay.
My thoughts most of Neo features should be available on Avata 2 since they are more software then hardware features, for second better to wait Neo 2 lol
flying the drone with the remote is not a novelty it increase range by alot and a has a ton of more image settings. how far can the hover air fly? i doubt it can go very far. you are a very bias reviewer and didnt include the fact that you have so much versatile with the camera settings when using a controller. i think you know this but you didnt add it in your review. the dji neo is a great drone, i fly it around my neighborhood everyday. i also have nd filter set with a uv lens and cpl to make the videos and photos even better
Thank you for your feedback! The HoverAir’s range is indeed a bit more limited, but it's definitely adequate when using the remote. Have you tested the HoverAir X1 Pro yourself for a direct comparison? I enjoy flying DJI as well, but in terms of camera and image functions, the HoverAir really pulls ahead: the Neo maxes out at 4K at 60 fps, while the HoverAir can reach up to 8K at 60 fps or even 4K at 120 fps. Every drone has its own strengths - thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@@doatrip Gaps are my thing. My daily driver's a Mobula8, and I fly in Angle mode, indoors. I put that thing in places a 65mm goes. A Neo could never do it - even with me at the sticks. Too much chonk. Also, a Radiomaster Pocket, with an Eachine EV800D headbox is way easier on the budget, eh? It does have some tricks that make it a decent buy for content creators. Future firmware updates will help a lot, too. And if they sell enough, there'll be a Neo2, surely.
I believe you 100%. My FPV skills are very limited. Nevertheless I can absolutely understand that there is no room for comparison. The only thing I am saying is for regular drone users and here-and-then FPV-pilots it is lots of fun. I am flying an Avata 2 regularily but it will not fit fence gaps or carriage rim gaps. A trained FPV pilot might be able to do this like you described. 😊
@@doatrip It's fun - but the DJI goggles and controller are a bit steep for occasional FPV, I think. I hear a budget headset is coming soon from DJI, though. That should help boost sales. Still gonna be a pig to fly. :) It will do it - just reeaall ssllooww. Happy flying, and I hope you get lots of enjoyment from your new little guy.
What's your opinion regarding the DJI Neo?

HOVERAir X1 389 euro, DJI NEO 209 euro
Yes true about the price.
All the other things have been said in the video.
There are a few disadvantages regarding the NEO
It's only a single axis gimbal :)
You are fully right. Thanks for the correction.
@@doatrip no worries :)
personally it's not really worth it for me, id rather get the avata 2 which is yes much more expensive but way more worth it.
I am fully with you. Avata 2 is way better! Anyway flying the Neo via FPV indoor and through gaps is really cool due to it size.
thank you this review helped me understand about it way more
you are pretty much welcome. Glad when I could help a bit.

A 135g, 2 inch, 2S whoop will always fly like a pig. And those prop cages only make it worse. Limited use, at best. Waste of money as an FPV platform.
Yeah it's definitely not comparable to a real FPV. But without wind and gusts it's lots of toy fun flying it through pretty small gaps. 😁
