This is a great tutorial! I thought I would need a lot of specific tools and special base/top coats for reverse stamping, so I always avoided doing it, but this has made it much less daunting for me and made me realise I can try it with what I have! Thank you.
Thank you for explaining it all so well. I just found you today & I've learned a lot Do you have a tutorial using the plaid plates? I love your plaid nails.
Such a good tutorial! I appreciate that it was all in focus and easy to see how you did everything. I'm just starting out stamping and I have some plates that I want to try coloring in like this.
Hi thank you for a great video. I only use gel polish and although I have done stamping for some time, I have recently started using pigment powders onto tacky layer, top coat and stamping over the colours, my question is? is it possible to fill in the image on a stamper with the powders, so the colours are are where you want them, like you done with the polishes. Thank you 🙂
How do you remove all of that polish later?? I just bought a small stamp kit. So I'm brand new to this stuff. Very cool idea. I only have the white stamp polish and love that you can use regular polish here but worry about removal plus I need to get that cutter tool I guess. Where do I get that?? Thanks.
For stamping, specially designed stamping polishes are best for opacity. Many brands have stamping polishes, Born Pretty, Lina, El Corazon, others. For coloring in a stamped image, any polish will work, just depends on the look you want.
That I have no idea about. I have never tried gel. You could experiment. It should still come off on tape or lint roller even if it dries too hard to apply.
@@KyongLee lol, that's what I was about to say is that I guess I've got a little science experiment on my hands 👩🔬 but then I thought about gel polish and its application process, and ya know how you have to lightly etch the surface of the nail and put down a base, or else it will....peel up! We're geniuses! Lol Theoretically, that is! I'll try it out next 🤞💅🙏
Nice Video I am going to try this. I have noticed that your nails are yellow on one hand and not the other. I have noticed this on my nail when I keep polishing my nails. Do you think this is why your nails are so yellow?
Yes, I change my left hand nails almost daily. My right hand weekly. I wish my left hand nails weren't so stained, strictly so that I could do more negative space nail art. :) Other than that, the yellowing doesn't bother me much. How often do you change yours?
Yes, but only if your base is still tacky or you have applied a sticky base coat just prior to stamping/ reverse stamping. If your base is dry, the stamping has to be quick or it won't stick.
I've seen vids like this where they paint on the stencil or the stamper then apply a clear coat of something and then lift the image off and then put it on the nail?? Is that clear coat just a top coat or is it something designed for reverse stamping? I can't find it anywhere on google! Inquiring minds must know! Thanks for this though I'll be trying it! :D
It is usually a clear. You can try your normal quick dry top coat but you may get shrinkage and it may be too brittle. Wet n Wild Clear Nail Protector is a good clear for any kind of DIY decals, especially stamping decals like you're talking about.
@@KyongLee OMG your a life saver and I just found one on google also! It was driving me crazy! A whole new world of possibilities have opened for me! Thanks for the advice!
That method works great too. I just try to save my skin from extra acetone exposure when I can. I've definitely torn a decal or two this way so it's a risk for sure, especially if they are too brittle.
@_thatphillygirl-IG Loves the design!!!! If you donr have Orly Bonder can you use a regular clear polish or a regular thin no smudge top coat since their thin????
You can use a regular clear, but I wouldn't use the no smudge one since those are usually water based and take a while to dry. You can also use nail foil glue if you have it.
You have the coolest nail designs! Really miss seeing your creations. Hope you are well.

Super cute nails. I like this plate and the colors you picked. Reminds me of Sally's dress from The nightmare before Christmas.
Very cool... I love the design and the lesson! Now I have to play with my stamps.. I've never seen this method before
thank you very much.. now i know how all the instas make the edges of the nail looking so perfect ^^
Great video with lots of specific info. I appreciate that!

I am in love with the colors and overall look of this mani.
So glad I found you! Really needed this!:)
I absolutely love the blue print on your one hand! Gorgeous
Thank you super much for this! I am going to try this tomorrow. The video really helped!
063 in the cart! Loving the colors & adore water marble look stamping..much the size of Lina plates these look like winners..thanks!!❤️
Very cool color choices for the design. I love BBB stampers. Thank you for the tutorial. :)
Wow awesome thanks for the tutorial, I'm new to stamping and this looks so fun.
Awesome tutorial... i hav been dying to find out how they do reverse stamping. Thank you so much for uploading this video..
Very nice tutorial, you explained a lot how to do the reverse stamping. I love your mani
I really need to try reverse stamping again now I watch you making such a cool design ☺️💕
me too! My first attempt was a fail lol

Wow! Absolutely stunning!!!! 💖💖💖💖
thanks for the video, i always wondered how do the do the art
love these!!!!! welcome back!!!
“I’m tired of pink and red from Valentine’s Day” this right here is what I always say 😆😆😆 I stand that color combo it drives me nuts
And your plaid design on nails is looking very beautiful...lovely nails
What a nice detailes tutorial.....i enjoyed alot
Can you put two layers of the regular nail polish on the stamper for a more opaque color?
Yes, but that can make it bumpy.
@@KyongLee What nail polishes can you use for stamping? New subscriber and new to stamping. This is beautiful.

Love this set!!! Could you stamp over a gel polish sticky inhabition layer, or would it be too "wet"?
I think that would work. I'm not very familiar with gels but I have heard of other people doing exactly that.
Oh I do it right over no problem.💜💖💜 Or you could wipe off with alcohol or on top of top coat on. If u wana keep the color swap art😉
Beautiful, mani! Awesome plates. TFS ~~~~Tina
Wow! What a perfect job!!!
Are the colored polishes just normal nail polish
Yes. For reverse stamping, you can use whatever polishes you like to color in the images after stamping.
@@KyongLee thank you!
Love the design!
I put alcool on the nail on order for the reverse to stick and it works
I wonder if you could use gel polish and maybe flash cure with a mini light? Or do you think it would just stay on the stamper
That I have no idea about. I have never tried gel. You could experiment. It should still come off on tape or lint roller even if it dries too hard to apply.

I would love to hear how your science experiment turns out! *fingers crossed
Wow...the plaid is perfectly straight! I always have problems.
Is there a way to keep the stamper from getting foggy? I want to try reverse stamping but I don’t want to ruin my stamper!
Reverse stamping doesn't cause the stamper to go foggy in my experience. Only using pigments on the stamper repeatedly or using acetone has done that.
Kyong Lee oh okay! Thank you!
@@mollyappdon't "prime" your stamper with acetone!
@@KyongLeelove your choice of colors

@@KyongLee I change my color every week, but i want to go at least two week.
You use normal nail polish or uv gel nail polish to colour in?
Regular polish. Gel won't work to color in.
So you don't have to rush? Like if the polish dries on the stamper it's okay?
Yes, but only if your base is still tacky or you have applied a sticky base coat just prior to stamping/ reverse stamping. If your base is dry, the stamping has to be quick or it won't stick.
@@KyongLee Thank you!
YW.
These plates are amazing, so I tried ordering some with some stampers but I couldn't check out there was No option.
Are those colors regular gel polish?or stamping gel? Or peel off polish?
Are there separate color used for reversed stamping or gel polish can also be used?
They're regular polishes. I don't think you can use gel.
@Samina Fareed you can use gel if you flash cure for a second but no longer then you can then do this 😊😊

I don’t understand how the colors aren’t pushed down and plopping out?
The polish is mostly dry before applying. Still a little tacky but definitely not wet.
So cool
I loved that plaid, by the way!! Thanks for the tutorial. I think I can do this!! LOL Yours is beautiful!!
I use acetone to melt the excess off. Knowing me I’d just end up tearing the decal from my nail bed. Either way works

This looks like a stop motion
What type of nail polish are you using? Do they all have to be specific stamping polish?
For coloring in images, you can use any kind of polish you want. You can even use acrylic paints.
Would you be kind and make a tutorial to teach how to get straight lines? I just can't 😂
Tfs great color combo! 💜💖💜
