Massive "Sahara Desert Like" Sand Dunes In The Middle Of Canada!! Great Sand Hills, Saskatchewan.

This was one of the most surprising places I have been to in all of Canada! I was completely shocked at the size of these massive sand dunes - some are over 60 feet high, as well as the fact that this ecological reserve covers an area of 1900 km2 or almost 480,000 acres!!!
This is a fantastic place to discover with your whole family, and it is very easy to get to.
The easiest way to get to the dunes is to go to the small town of Sceptre, which is just west of Swift Current. Then follow the signs south onto Great Sand Hills Rd. It will be a 20 minute drive directly south on a very well maintained gravel road. There will be ample parking if you have a camper or trailer.
