I got one for you guys. I saw Sabbath in the spring of 75' doing songs off of Sabotage even before it was released in July of that year. Still have the concert stub.
I am not a young guy but i am new to Rock Music... I am British and am amazed how many metal bands came from my homeland. As you have been talking i have been pausing your video and gone and listed to the bands you mentioned... thanks so much for you videos and it's always great to see Pete and Chris taliking about something other than movies which i love too....Thanks everyone
Sabbath 12/31/98 performed Killing Yourself to Live! Only time for the reunion era. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was done 14 or 15 times. Not Sabotage but still pretty cool.
A reunion I kind of know will not happen is Pat Thrall's 70s project 'Automatic Man'. If it does happen, even in a small way, it'll be epic. To me, a highly influential LP, and many agree. When they were playing live back in the 70s they were blowing everyone away. All of them a force on their own ever since. Great chat this! Thanks.
Sad to hear of the passing of D.H. Peligro a great drummer, the Dead Kennedys became irrelevant when they parted company with Biafra. I would have loved to have seen Queen in their 70's pomp, I was born in the year that they formed (1973) so just missed out.
A Deep Purple mark 3 full reunion is one I always wished for but, with Jon Lord no longer alive, it would be impossible for a full mark 3 reunion but, at this point I'd just be thrilled if Coverdale, Hughes, Paice & Blackmore got together for a series of concerts.
Not a reunion, but my first concert was Van Halen, in January of '84. I was ten years old and already a *major* VH fan who owned, and loved, every album, including the just-released "1984." My dad drove me and a friend, and it was *such* a fun first concert! DLR was all over the place, vocally, in concert, even back then, but he was an *incredible* frontman-- a great host to a great party!-- and the band seriously rocked!
I am jealous.9 times out 10,when an artist I like tours, they never come any where close to where I live(just outside Kansas City). That's one reason why I have not been to a live show since February 2020,when I saw Midge Ure. I had the chance to see Manilla Road a few years back.I told myself,I'll catch'em next time.Well,we know what happened. There will never be a next time.
The ORIGINAL "original" Motorhead was Lemmy, Larry Wallis and Lucas Fox which coalesced after Lemmy was fired from Hawkwind. Wallis had been in a band called Pink Fairies. But of course Lemmy, Phil and Eddie were regarded as the classic lineup. I think I recall reading that the original incarnation opened a few dates for Blue Oyster Cult in the UK. Hammersmith Odeon in 1975 if I am not mistaken. My only time seeing Motorhead was with Iron Maiden and Dio at MSG in 2003. Epic triple bill for sure.
I would (have) love(d) to see a reunion of the original Mind Funk line-up with Reed St Mark. I absolutely love his drumming, or even possibly some sort of Celtic Frost with Reed St Mark. Cheers.
Never seen The Police live was too young to seen the 2007/2008 reunion hope they reunite again I’ve seen heart once it was great love to see a Classic reunion with Roger Fisher Never seen Fleetwood Mac classic lineup sadly which I had seen
Fish & Marillion. I know he joined them onstage for an encore many years ago but would love to see at least a full concert. Missed out on the Frantic Four tour with the original members of Status Quo
If Dimebag would have lived, I believe they would have eventually got back together for at least a reunion thing of some kind. Maybe not another album and stuck together, but some sort of reconnection at least...It's always felt like Dime's passing just made Vinnie more bitter towards Phil, and maybe it's just a fantasy - we'll never know. I like to think that after Phil fully rehabbed, him and Dime could have settled it😔🤘
Yeah now that you mentioned it, that's probably the safest of all the reunions that never happened. It was such a short time but because of the tragic event the inevitable never happened.
I'd say u are 💯 on the money here, the bitterness and anger with the grief Vinnie had after loosing his very close brother wouldn't have been there had dime not died and the money offer's would have eventually brought them together.
Dan Swanö is in my top 3 favourite musicians of all time, everything he has done and everything he has been part of. Nightfall Overture might be my fav song of all time.
Top of my list here HAS to be a Blackmore/Dio/Powell Rainbow Reunion. And it ALMOST happened but Cozy’s sad death ended it. The bass and keyboard spots could have been taken up by anyone Daisley, Bain, Carey or Stone, I wouldn’t have cared as long as I saw that three man nucleus that made that original Rainbow sound. My favourite band of all time and I never got to see them together….and now I never will. 😢 I would have also loved to have seen a Whitesnake reunion with Coverdale, Marsden, Moody, Murray, Lord and Paice. Early Blues Whitesnake was simply WONDERFUL. I also would love to see Don Dokken reunite with his voice.
Chris, that instrumental piece that Sabbath did on the last show of The End did was Megalomania. You were sadly also right on the money about Ozzy cancelling those UK shows this year, mate! Priest were opening, so I missed out on seeing them for the first time! Hope they tour the UK soon! On topic, but definitely the 5-man era of Genesis. We got close in 2004 when all five members met up for a proposed tour of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, but it never went through. Also, this is one that did happen but I it was before I got into heavy metal, but I would have killed to have seen the Heaven and Hell lineup of Sabbath in 2007-2009.
First band I ever saw was Jethro Tull just having released A Passion Play. Great show! And I’m 64 now, so much older than all of you. And I saw Kansas 8 times in the 70s. Best shows I ever saw by a LONG SHOT!
Tremendous show with the coolest people in existence. Two bands I would like to see reunite: Grand Funk Railroad with Mark Farner. That would be a killer show for sure. The other is the unbelievable Pat Travers band with Pat Thrall, Mars Cowling and Tommy Aldridge. As Pete has mentioned before, one of the greatest lineups ever. I would pay big bucks to see this one.
Karen was mistaken, they did nothing from Sabotage. Chris was right, they played “Spiral Architect,” from Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, with Ozzy singing. To my knowledge, that was the one song played with vocals throughout the reunion tour, from albums five and six. 🤘
Losing Bill Ward for the final Black Sabbath studio release (“13”) was a missed opportunity. Though his replacement (Brad Wilks, I believe) was decent, no one could bang drums with “swing,” and the fluidity rarely found in a doom/sludge/metal/stoner band.
@@lahloonatic Thanks L. Nasser. Monochromatic, “Metal only” consuming cavemen will never appreciate the non-metal, jazz & classic musical roots of Iomni,Butler & Ward that provided the stones

Impressive to hear the real TANK mentioned. Nice work. Unfortunately Algy sadly cannot play live anymore due to his severe tinnitus. Algy was in the Damned before TANK.
My experience of being in the music live entertainment. Business . (Is the hardest thing is to keep the band together). Wanna mention the 1984 Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck Reunion shows they played nine shows where they played music from the Jeff Beck album, "Truth". Jeff Beck left the tour because his duck died. Super lucky to see that reunion show in Reno Nevada.
Glad to hear you mention Skid Row, Pete! They would be on my short list too! Love to see The Police do a new album and maybe a tour, but I'd settle for a reunion show. lol I know they did one years ago but I would love to see something from them. David Lee Roth reuniting with Vai, Sheehan, Bissonette maybe! Lots of good choices today, I could name a bunch more for sure. Good show folks.

Hey Pete😀 You're awesome😀 You didn't miss much as far as the Blue Murder show. Saw it one of they were good enough .But hey played maybe an hour .One of the most dissapointing shows I ever went to😀
Savatage..... The Pop-up show at Wacken in 2015 rekindled the hope (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) that there may be hope. There have been rumors for years, but Jon Oliva's arrest a couple years ago probably was the end of that. I've seen them with most of the lineups, but would sure like to see them again.
Saw an interview with Lemmy years ago and he said Micky and Phil Campbell have been with me longer than Eddie and Filthy animal were so why would I break that up and get back with the old guys.
Van Halen with David Lee Roth and Michael Anthony is the reunion we needed to see. Sure they reunited for a cup of coffee in 1996 and recorded a few new songs, but there was no tour. As I'm from the U.K. I never had the chance to see the reunion tour in 2007 and any tours they did afterwards before Eddie's sad death, as they haven't toured the U.K. since 1995 when they supported Bon Jovi.
@@iancocks9408 Yeah, Van Halen opened as a special guest for Bon Jovi during the second leg of the "Balance" tour in Europe (including a show at Wembley Stadium). I guess by then Bon Jovi eclipsed Van Halen in popularity in Europe, probably helped that Bon Jovi toured more over here and their albums sold more. I know in the U.K. that "New Jersey", "Keep The Faith", "These Days", and later on "Crush" all topped the album charts.
Heart - Ann, Nancy, Fosen, Derosier, Fischer, Leese - The ONLY reunion I would pay money for. All my other hopes aren't possible due to people having passed away.
I was hoping when Peter Green started playing in the 90's that the original Fleetwood Mac would somehow play again. Saw Peter Green in the states in 2000...
That would have been great, saw him in 2000 also supporting Gary moore, he seemed really nervous on stage, he never spoke a word the other guitar player did all the talking and most of the singing peter sang about 3 songs
@@alexjohnston8889 Saw Peter in 2000 as well. John Mayall of all people opened the show. It was great to see two legends at once. Was Hoping Peter and John would get on stage together. Did not know Peter opened for Gary Moore.... I consider ourselves fortunate to have seen Peter play.
@@SmedleyWarIsaRacket it was in Liverpool when they used to have shows in a giant circus tent on the docks, Peter played about 35-40 mins or so and then someone said Gary has a throat infection and can't sing, take your tickets back to were you got then and get your money back, great a free peter green performance.
'Those Reunions That We Always Wanted to See, We Actually Watched Them In Recent Days/Months And They Suck', would be good for pt2. I just watched Arcturus few days ago and the concert was soooo bad.
I know this one has been mentioned a lot in the past but a reunion I would love to see is the classic lineup of Genesis with Gabriel, Collins, Banks, Rutherford and Hackett. We've always seen the three piece lineup getting back together to play their 80s stuff but never the full five man band to play the classic 70s apart from a one off show in 81 which was dubbed 'six of the best' but they only played a couple of encores. I know Hackett has been carrying the torch for years and he has kept all of the classic material going by playing all of them with his bands who have all done a fantastic job. For many years, Hackett has always been open to doing something with them again and It would have been really nice if all of the guys got back together to play a small series of shows but sadly with the state of Collin's declining health plus an apparent lack of interest from the other members, it looks like a full Genesis reunion isn't going to happen anymore. Truly a missed opportunity
Black Sabbath with Tony Martin Tygers of Pan Tang with Jon Deverill (Spellbound or The Wreck-Age lineup, I love both) Accept with the I'm a Rebel lineup
Great show again folks! I would’ve loved to see Rickey Medlocke reunite Blackfoot. There have been rumors over the years about a different versions of this once-great band, but Medlocke stuck to Skynyrd.
Three reunions I wish I could've seen were the Cinderella reunion with the original lineup (they toured from around 1998-2014), The Black Crowes reunion with Marc Ford and Eddie Harsch (2005-2006), and the Judas Priest reunion with Rob Halford (which was around 2004/2005, when K.K. Downing was still in the band). Great show everyone!
I would love to see John Bush back with Anthrax. Those albums are stellar IMO. The Danzig reunion is a cool idea but I don't think those guys would be up to it at this point. Tommy Victor and Steve Zing are outstanding and Karl Rosqvist killed it on the most recent tour.
I was looking for this Anthrax comment in here. Absolutely. These albums *are* stellar, especially SoWN, though this is rather a niche choice. All the best, Scott.
* My biggest need before I can die with peace in my soul is to see Darkthrone live. Never gonna happen obviously. Those clowns (read: Fenriz) are so fucking stubborn they plainly refuse tons of money just to do a single show at Wacken. I'd be content even without Fenriz. Just getting to hear Nocturno Culto live with Satyricon or another backing band (the Wacken 04 clips sound perfect, one of my favorite live recordings ever). As long as he's the one doing the vocals, I think it'd be insane. * Misfits. I'd love to see them come over to Europe. I've seen Danzig and Doyle do Misfits stuff at Wacken, but I'd like the "full experience". * Pink Floyd. The fact I'll never get to see Floyd, or even Gilmour, live kills me. Roger Waters just played Norway, but I don't really care about him solo.
Have you seen footage of the PF reunion show of Waters, Gilmour, Wright and Mason at Live 8 in 2005? Its on youtube. With Rick Wright no longer with us its the closest we are ever getting to a proper Floyd reunion now. I was taken aback that this happened. Waters had sued them so it was remarkable. Gilmour/Waters tensions resumed thereafter.
I dont know if anybody brought this up. But the original pink floyd reunion after live 8. Would have been great. For at least with a tour. With Rick Wright still alive Pity.
I would love to see Heart and Alice Cooper with the original lineups. Also, Plant, Page and Jones should tour with Bonham's son. I know it will never happen. I was lucky enough to see Page and Plant together once in the nineties. I have been wanting Rage Against the Machine to reunite. They did but De la Rocha got injured right away. Can you believe that? Another great reunion would be Judas Priest with KK and Glenn. I saw them decades ago but love to see again. Priest still puts on a decent show, but better with the classic lineup. I am also grateful to have seen some reunion tours: Ozzy with Sabbath, Fleetwood mac with Stevie, Lindsay and Christine in 1993, Deep Purple in '84 and UFO with Michael Schenker in the ninties.
De la Rocha's injury was so unfortunate. I'm a massive rage fan and I was absolutely going to see them so I was really bummed. And then even worse for De la Rocha was I think it was an achilles tear. That injury SUCKS and takes a really long time to recover from
Page, Jones and Jason Bonham have always been up for the LZ reunion tour and another album; its always been Robert Plant blocking that and saying he wants to look forward, not back. The Page & Plant projects and the 2007 (?) Celebration Day was all Plant was willing to do. He was always so negative about LZ reunions that I am pleasantly surprised we got 2007 tbh.
Also would’ve been cool to see the classic lineup of Shooting Star get back together. With Gary West retired, Charles Waltz in The Young Dubliners, and Van sadly passed on, it’ll never happen.
I saw Motorhead live in December 2000 in Warsaw-it was a nightmare. The club sold too much tickets /crazy,I know/,there was 2 hours delay because the supporting group screwed up and Lemmy refused to start the show early. Then,we got the info that he fell asleep in the car and locked himself up from the inside. He finally woke up,and the band played their gig .

Cuz it would've been fucking killer!
But now... so much for that.
Lemmy was the star of the show anyway. But MH was always touring. They had to. It’s tough to get interest in a reunion when you’re constantly touring.
Shout out to Ralph for Dead Kennedys love.
Van halen supported bon jovi?, I doubt it ever, after they became headliners.
No I was wrong, wow, supporting those b graders. Should have been their own tour. Unbelievable
I don't know how anyone could pay to see that clown Roth, hes the worst live singer ever.
Im surprised this wasnt mentioned. This is the biggest "what if" reunion for me
Never mind, Pete mentioned it lol
Top of my head....
The Wipers
The Saints
The Jam
Husker Du
Black Sabbath with Tony Martin
Tygers of Pan Tang with Jon Deverill (Spellbound or The Wreck-Age lineup, I love both)
Accept with the I'm a Rebel lineup
Great show again folks! I would’ve loved to see Rickey Medlocke reunite Blackfoot. There have been rumors over the years about a different versions of this once-great band, but Medlocke stuck to Skynyrd.
Now that Skynyrd has zero original members alive that band needs put to rest and Ricky should reunite Blackfoot.
Like Pete my first gig was Motörhead at Cambridge corn exchange 1979 the original lineup also Iron Maiden around the same time
UFO with Mick Bolton. Witchfynde with Andros Coulton , and Steve Bridges, Tygers of Pantang with Jon Deveril and John Sykes.
I saw Quicksand as a trio, but it would have been great to see them with Capone.
I did see Cinderella 2002! They played with poison faster pussy cat and winger.
@@onekoolmedic Ooh that sounds like a great lineup!
So for Reunions I would say my three are 1. Samson (Bruce Bruce) 2. Rainbow (Any of the first 3 singers) Genesis (All 5 original members)
Those reunions that we never wanted to see, but got. lol
Eagles
Crosby Stills Nash Young
I was at the same show with Karen! City Gardens was awesome
Agree on Venom but Venom Inc kicks ass anyway.
@@jimmycampbell78 Yeah, seen it several times mate. It's wonderful!
The Govan brothers (Seth & Guthrie) Would love to see them do an(other) album and tour with The Fellowship 👍✌️
I dont know if anybody brought this up. But the original pink floyd reunion after live 8.
Would have been great.
For at least with a tour.
With Rick Wright still alive
Pity.
I brought that up.
Yes with Jon Anderson
Yeah I saw Page/Plant in the early 90's at MSG it was an awesome show
De la Rocha's injury was so unfortunate. I'm a massive rage fan and I was absolutely going to see them so I was really bummed. And then even worse for De la Rocha was I think it was an achilles tear. That injury SUCKS and takes a really long time to recover from
@@alexandergilles8583 Yes. I think he landed too hard doing his trademark jump. Hopefully can recover and play down the road.
And the Escape era of Journey.
KK Downing should record and perform and be a part of Judas Priest again!!!!!!!!!!!
If Mr. Skow had a Mohawk wouldnt he look a lot like a younger Wattie Buchan from The Exploited ?
I saw Motorhead live in December 2000 in Warsaw-it was a nightmare. The club sold too much tickets /crazy,I know/,there was 2 hours delay because the supporting group screwed up and Lemmy refused to start the show early. Then,we got the info that he fell asleep in the car and locked himself up from the inside. He finally woke up,and the band played their gig .
Journey with Steve Perry....it'll never happen but it'd be pretty cool.
I would love to see The Devin Townsend Project reunited.
Chris Barnes with Cannibal Corpse before Chris Barnes lost his Voice
I did see Cinderella once but it was like 20 yrs ago. Wish they could’ve gotten Jeff’s Heath straight before he died for a reunion.
Grand funk and trower
