When he started to be on social media a lot of the fans didn't like it, because they said it kills the character. I also had my dounts, but it's just as great to listen to the "real guy" as to watch him wrestle in character.
As a child the undertaker was always someone I looked up to. Now as a man in my 30s I definitely look up to Mark Callaway . Forever evolving and changing the game . Keep on doing what you're doing big man !
What I've loved the most about Paul's creative decisions in the WWE is that he allows the story lines to play out over time and only pivots based on fan reaction. He also allows talent to put a shoot into a work for the best result.
I agree, I hated when Vince would have a story than all of sudden change his mind and we’d be left confused and annoyed. Than the crowd would chant who they wanted and Vince would get butt hurt
When you have a weekly Undertaker podcast breaking down current wrestling promos as they happen (an absolute rarity up until now in its own right) that’s already out-dated by the time it drops… you know you’re living in special wrestling times. 🔥
A lot of legends/ex wrestlers are doing it now. This way they can retire and still have a semi successful career outside of the physical wrestling. Stevie Richards, maven, booker t, stone cold, undertaker and more are still entertaining us with their knowledge and stories. I'm glad I got to grow up watching them, and continue to have them entertain me throughout my adult years.
What? Just to talk about current bs with a legend that has untold amount of stories? Yeah I’m good… especially this whole hour was taker kissing the ass of wwe hardcore
I grew up watching Taker on Friday night Smackdown, I went from going to Friday night football games to just watching wrestling every week, and it’s all thanks to Taker. The first year I watched pro wrestling I got to see Undertaker defeat Edge at Wrestlemania, and I still love that particular storyline it holds a special place in my heart.
Wow the chemistry between you both is amazing and very easy to listen. I did not even know of this channel and just seen a clip about the conversation with Cody and the Rumble but I ended up staying for the whole hour. Taker has been my favorite since his debut, I cried when he put Warrior in the casket and was even more terrified whenever someone got put in the casket. Im so happy for this podcast, got tired of all these younger guys covering wrestling to be honest. This old school way of storytelling is becoming a rare find. Thank You both and Taker thanks for entertaining us for decades
It is so surreal to sit here and listen to Mark Calaway when I grew up seeing this man as The Undertaker, forever my favorite wrestler and favorite overall person
Back in the day every wrestlemania had four contender positions for talent. MITB winner, rumble winner, the other title challenger and the guy undertaker was beating. He did not need the rumble, he was the prize
I didnt even know this channel existed. I watch several wrestling channels on an off, so I must have missed any announcement. Whatever, made finding it even better.
Absolutely loving these videos . Really love that mark seems genuinely content and happy , it’s always difficult for wrestlers to give up the career but he seems comfortable now , he’s looking great . The guy deserves everything good , a true legend of a person and performer .
Awesome - I'm glad someone over there finally realized that putting all of your episodes behind a patreon paywall is success suicide, in the current youtube/podcast landscape. I'm sure you'll be reading in the comments that many people here, had no idea this show even existed before this upload. It's a great idea, and I would be listening every week if it were on youtube like this, regularly. Patreon should be for extra stuff. Nothing wrong with getting paid for your work, and putting stuff up on patreon, but that was putting the cart before the horse. I'm no expert, I've just seen hundreds of podcasts do it the way I'm talking about. It's a proven formula at this point. Anyway, I'm not knocking - I wish this channel great success!
Yes! I got my Undertaker logo tattoo when Mark was still 24/7 in character and he has done nothing but continue to prove the fandom was earned and well placed.
Brian Adams/Crush was a very underrated big man. One of my favorites as a kid, though I always preferred the heel version aligned with Mr. Fuji and Yokozuna best.
Should have (even if briefly) brought up the Vince controversy. If we get a unbiased opinion from Taker in this format, this could be pure gold content.
I think they know if Taker even briefly touch the Vince stuff. The floodgates would be open and people would definitely criticised Taker here and possibly accuse and cancelling him of participating in Vince stuff due to how close they are. So I understand why Matt didn't even try asking
@@marvinleong5902 I think that many of the biggest legends knew Austin, The Rock, John Cena, Taker, Hulk Hogan, Orton, Shawn Michael, all of them were close to Vince McMahon, and some of them were the faces of the company.
@@marvinleong5902 I think Taker is not that type. Many wrestlers respect him and said that Taker was one of the most respected wrestlers. Even those who criticized him said that he was cruel at times, but I have not heard anyone say that Mark Callaway harassed a girl or took advantage of a girl, unlike Vince McMahon, as he has been a deviant for ages.
