      I've found just washing up liquid has been the best to be honest mate. Just make sure you use a decent amount in the water

      @@HelmOfAwesomeWindows I guess I'll stick to the washing-up liquid then. Seems to be the main product to use. Many thanks bud 👍

      I was lucky and managed to get it from Facebook marketplace. They are a nightmare to get hold of recently. Check Facebook and eBay as that's the only places I've seen them last few months mate

    Hi, do you rinse your applicator after use?

    • @HelmOfAwesomeWindows
      @HelmOfAwesomeWindows  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I got a few sleeves, so I rinse throughout the day, and switch at end of day

      @@HelmOfAwesomeWindows ah ok, just setting up so wondered if you had to rinse. How many windows would you use with one sleeve roughly? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks

      @HelmOfAwesomeWindows  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @sb-kn6vb as lomg as they aren't all first cleans, you'd easily get a full day's clean from it. Sleeves aren't too expensive though, so just keep a few spare. Also check out Trad Man Academy here on you tube. Pete has some great tips

    Thanks for the advice mate, what’s the best way to get customers. (Just started my own window cleaning business and finding it hard to find new customers).

      That's a difficult one to answer really mate. Some areas work great with flyers, but I think you have to hit the area a couple of times. I have picked up most of my work through Facebook local pages. Just get your friends and family to share lots. I think being consistent with a social media presence helps a lot also.
      Feel free to follow me on other socials to check out how I do it. Some great guys on TH-cam and instagram to follow too
      Good luck with it all 👍👍

      Before all this social media the best way to go and knock some doors in an area, you will some no’s and it will learn how to sell yourself 😁

      Knock the doors and give them the pitch mate if they’ve got one go cheaper by a pound or 2 if it’s a small one best I’ve done is 10 in 45 mins doing that😊

    Doesn't the squeegee rubber stick to the glass and leave streaks when running dry rubber over dry part of the window? I noticed this when I did straight pulls on a huge shop windows inside a mall.

    • @HelmOfAwesomeWindows
      @HelmOfAwesomeWindows  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be honest, straight pulls aren't the best but they are easy for beginners. I used to swipe my squeegee over he washer first to prevent it. Just use a fan technique now

      @@HelmOfAwesomeWindows I love to see the detail and care you put into your work. I do the same. However, the challenge is to price my job properly, due to more time I have to spend on a job. (I'm not from the UK)

    • @HelmOfAwesomeWindows

      @jorenstira1620 pricing is always so hard. Especially if you want to keep the price fair but still make a good living

      @@HelmOfAwesomeWindows I'm from Latvia. Right now I'm doing this as a part-time business because I have a full-time job; therefore, due to the fact that my "free time" is limited (only weekends), I will charge higher than my competitors and concentrate on higher-end customers who value quality over the price. I don't particularly concentrate on my prices to be "fair", rather than my prices being such that I can work with enthusiasm and provide the best quality service to my clients.
