Dear sir i really enjoyed this video, very much indeed ,very clear and methodical, and i particularly liked you slower demonstrations,so that we can follow fully.thanku kindly.just subbed
Hi Darren great video I'm in new window cleaner about 6 months I've had a few issues with black coming off the seals on the frames got into a bit of a mess with a couple any chance you could do a video explaining how to stop that or what we can do to clean and better I suppose the obvious answer is don't touch the Seals but thanks mate keep up the good work POV video looks great by the way. Thanks Lee from old school window cleaners
I've just been asked to clean the windows at work (I'm the cleaner there, not really my area of expertise!) and I'm finding the water at the top seal a right pain. The windows are rather tall so I have to use a pole. Will have to try the pre detail, of course will have to put the rag on the pole but I hope it helps. Also good to learn about the angle of the squeegee, I kept getting the wet line after the slide, rather annoying 😂
Question: would it matter much to instead of going straight down to go down with the squeegee following the water line left by the bottom part and run up again along side it? So in fact making more of a mountain. It's the way I do it normally or find it easier to turn. Am a tack affraid I might leave the blade too straight and get the top marks all the time. I hope you get what I mean, hard to explain typing.
Good bit of info there I use unger ninja squeegees which are brilliant Even tho their zero detail tools would you recommend detailing the glass with a microfibre cloth before doing the main clean
It's not really per window as many are different sizes. I look at how long to do the whole house then divide by 60. I aim at £1 per min whilst on the job.
I', surprised you are using a soapy solution instead of a window cleaner, unless you are using a sudsy window cleaning product. I have never found a sudsy window cleanser in the stores that I shop. What are you using?
the 11 thumbs down..... are people who dont like window washing, or men who think all pro window cleaners get the XXX treatment after cleaning. hahahaha
That's one of the best totorials on TH-cam.
Thanks Hagar :)
Well explained and great to see from the 1st person!
Best way to do a tutorial video.
Ty. I like the pre-detail, gonna try it.
Get the pre-detail down and it will save you hours of time on the job.

great advice about the pre detail and squeege angle, i was wondering why my work was so bad! cheers
Thanks Ian, the squeegee angle is really the only key to it all!

Good to see a bit of traditional Darren 🙂

Great learning

Merci Mon Ami.
Another great video, 'Cap-Cam' worked well. More POV tutorials 😃👍🏼

You are 100% right Jenny - add a rag on the pole for a pre detail and it (with a little practice) will be good

Great explanation!!!
Thank you Kent.
3:26 little long glass
4:45 big glass
Did I forget medium glass. 😜
Can you use it on brown pvc doors?
Good bit of info there I use unger ninja squeegees which are brilliant

Yes because zero detailing is nonsense, if you hit the rubber seal with an applicator and dont detail you will get runs
Nice one, cheers! Is there a particular squeegee and ‘sponge’ you’d recommend for a home diy kit? Thanks again :)
My preference for squeegees is the Unger S Plus models.
can you use pure water on a brush ?
Yes it's called WFP 'water fed pole' we use extensively. This is just a tutorial on how to do it with squeegee and applicator
I always wanted to get a water fed pole
How much should you charge to wash a window?
It's not really per window as many are different sizes. I look at how long to do the whole house then divide by 60. I aim at £1 per min whilst on the job.
really liked this camera angle
duno about saturating the whole frame in soap I'd want to hose it off after and then come back another day to do the windows.
You do what works for you Nelson. This is what's worked for me for more on countless occasions so it's what we stick to.
can I ask how you would clean the window frames above the conservatory ?
Either a harris pole or tell the client no

Fairy liquid
What soap are you using buddy?
I am a fan of Glass Gleam 4 when I can get it - otherwise Fairy Apple is my backup. Keeps van smelling fresh all day 🌼🌼

What solution do you use?
Water and Fairy
@@Darren-Green how much fairy does it matter
@@baza33 just a dash mate, experiment till you find what works for you
Cap cam
I love your videos. But my god your voice gives me a headache, it's like Essex/London/Australian/American all mixed together
Well then, hit the subtitles button and go with a lucky dip -- I don't think their auto bots understand me either :p
