    The Best Fruit Salad
    Prep Time: 10 minutes
    Ready In: 10 minutes
    Yield: Serves about 4-6
    1 pineapple
    2 pounds strawberries
    4 kiwis
    1 lemon
    2 tablespoons sugar or honey
    1 tablespoon poppy seeds
    Instructions
Prepare the fruits. Pineapple: Cut the pineapple into bite-sized cubes (See the cooking lesson below). Strawberries: Rinse them thoroughly, hull them, and cut the big strawberries into quarters, and the smaller ones in half for bite sized pieces. Kiwis: Peel the kiwi, then cut into bite-sized cubes.
Combine all the prepared fruit in a large mixing bowl. Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the fruit. Sprinkle the sugar and poppy seeds over and then stir gently to combine.

We need lemon to prevent oxidation of fruits, sugar is optional (I'd rather use honey) but sometimes these kind of fruit isn't sweet or ripe enough so if you don't like the savory taste you need sugar/honey. Btw, I am just starting my youtube channel and need all the support I can get, so if you can subscribe to my channel I would really appreciate it, thanks.

I am so sorry that there are negative comments on this video. Your salad is beautiful. The poppy seeds add such a nice touch. I would think that if you are adding lemon juice and you are serving it right away, you might want to add just a touch of sugar to balance the lemon. I have a hard time eating anything sour, now that I'm older. To avoid sugar, I try to make the salad ahead by a day I let the fruit "draw" as my grandmother used to call it. Once the fruit is cut, the juices flow and mix and after a day it has created it's own natural syrup. Still, your salad looks lovely and there are many ways to cut a pineapple.

This looks great! The comments are kind of snotty. The dressing has sugar!! Omg, shoot it!! Look, you only need to add a small amount of dressing to the already sweet fruit. The lemon wakes it up, poppy seeds add a special crunch and light flavor. Honey is good, but it is over powering, and honey..is sugar. You could use cane sugar, or agave, sure! So why be an ass? Lol. Great recipe 👍 thanks girl, I subbed w notifications 😍

If you have problems with the way she does it, get off your butt, take the trouble to make your own video (which you won't do), and show us how YOU would do it, so we can take pot shots at you. Otherwise, SHUT THE HELL UP!

Instead of sugar put a small canned crushed pineapple. Yum and I don’t like poppy seeds. They get stuck in teeth and until you brush, looks like cavities. Lol. Do they have that much taste?

To tell if a pineapple is good , smell it. It should smell like pineapple. Once you can pull a leaf from it, it has already started to rot and is past its prime.

If you don't add extra sugar and keep sliced fruits for 30 mins, it would be more healthier version.. 😊
