I've always wanted to camp in a snow shelter -- this was a fun one! If you haven't, be sure to subscribe for more chill adventures🛰 It really helps the channel.
OMG I haven't been in snow like that since I lived in Massachusetts in the 1980's! It sure is pretty but I don't miss it, my joints can't take the cold anymore. Ah fire, once you think you've have it down, it decides to put you in your place! No worries, even the best outdoorsmen have those days. The humble ones are not afraid to show it! 👍
A cheap base layer, cheap sweatpants, 2 cheap shirts, a cheap sweater, cheap coat, and cheap snow pants, and you can survive most cold conditions. (Paired with cheap hat, cheap balaclava or buff, cheap gloves, and cheap boots. ) Come to think of it, none of this is cheap! I'd still pay an arm and a leg for one of your outdoor excursion outfits though!
Living on the south coast of the uk snow is extremely rare and when it is about 2cm and gone the next day 😂 It always looks so pretty Thanks for sharing another great adventure with us ❤
Great video, very enjoyable. Had not thought about the embers sinking down through the snow, so what`s the answer? Lots of wood to build up insulation from the snow or dig down to find solid ground. At the most we get a few inches of snow here , kind of jealous, you`ve got an amazing area to go out and play in.😁👍
A few logs as the base would have done the trick, and more splits to build the flames - admittedly it was a bit late and I rushed the job! Glad you enjoyed the video, Mark.

Imagine making a snow dug out look cozy. Amazing! You are braver than me. Loved it. Thank you for sharing.
It kept the wind out quite nicely!

I'll make the mistakes and we can all learn together ✌😉
