It makes for a beautiful picture, nestled in the trees. True or not, I enjoy the rumour of a secret tunnel to Seaton Delaval Hall. Adds a bit of mystery, adventure, and romance to the place. Very kind of Lisa from Burradon House and Cottages for allowing you access. Burradon Tower is a great glimpse into the past, however brief. I checked out the link to Burradon farm. Hiya Jill 😃👋🤗 I’ll have to do a longer one at some point if it ever stops raining ☔️ We have more rain on the way it appears. I’ll be growing webbed feet soon 🤣 Going back to the 1500’s the stone in this building is still holding up pretty well apart from losing 2 floors and a roof. It’s probably not safe enough for regular visitors though. It is quite a distance from Seaton Delaval Hall so if there is a tunnel it would have taken many years to excavate and complete, but who knows, next time I’m there I’ll pose the question, I’d like to find the source, I’ll take a torch 🔦 just in case 😂😁 The cottages have been renovated to a high standard, I never checked prices though, but they are definitely in a nice spot. Hopefully it won’t be too long before I get out on another adventure lol, until then stay safe and take care and thank you as always for your support 😘🤗🙏🏻❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧
