This is one of those parks that I've been wanting to go to for a while but keeps eluding me. From what I've seen and heard that penitentiary hollow looks to be one of the best trails in the state. Watching your video now and this park imo looks very similar to lake brownwood state park. The lake looks similar, the trees, the cc structures, etc. Definitely gonna have to pay a visit. I hear the town is cool to visit as well

There is another way down to penitentiary hollow to the right of the over look it’s very steep rock stairs.
