I’m excited too! Now I need to get seeing.
I like the tie dye looking fabric the best and since it’s light weight and breezy I would probably make the Vogue 2021 top out of it with the one bare shoulder and the sari like effect on the other shoulder and it could flap in the breeze on the cruise ship.
I miss not seeing the cotton room but I’ll try to go check it out today.
It would work well for that Vogue pattern!! And that would be way more unique than a kaftan. Good idea Lilly!

I'm so glad you got the tye dyed purple silk! So pretty and airy. When you sew it, spritz with water- that will stabilize it and make it easier to handle. I do the same when I sew linen, just be sure to prewash. You will be glad you bought the tye dyed purple every time you look at it. Loved the girls shopping day out and all the farbic choices. Thank you so much for taking us along. Yum!
Aww thank you for watching! And thanks for the tip to make sewing it easier!! I’ve never heard of water spritzing silk crepe. Now that I’ve got the fabric home, I’m glad I got it too ❤️
I have not tried that trick on silk yet, only on linen, but I was planning on using it when I sew up my silk stash. So test it first and see if it works. It works really well on all weights of linen and I think it should work on silk.
It’s such a loss for Houston . This Friday will be their last day open 🙁🙁

My heart is so sad to see High Fashion closing. Bad enough that High Fashion Home has closed😢😢I used to work in an office building nearby and would walk there and use my lunch hour to walk around those two stores to save my sanity from dealing with that horrendous job. Truly heartbreaking to see High Fashion close.💔Thanks for sharing your time there.
My guess is that the price of the land exceeds what they can make in either store. It’s so sad.
