I am glad that I went through Airborne School after Infantry AIT at Benning. That was my life long dream as a kid to be a Paratrooper. I have never regretted it. Just last year in the summer I had the privilege to jump out of a C-47 in Lancaster TX along with a couple of Paratroopers from my company from Panama. One I went through Airborne with and another who was in my platoon. It was my first jump since 1990. I felt great to reconnect with my past and with my fellow Paratroopers. This is my Brotherhood. Nothing like it in the world.
My mom's grandfather was Airborne in WWII with the 503rd parachute infantry regiment in Papua New Guinea in 1943 and later was attached to the 82nd Airborne Division stationed at Fort Bragg NC for the rest of his 30 years of service to this Great Nation. The WWII parachute demonstration team is something I'm interested in to do the WWII Airrborne Demonstration school to have a small taste of what my great grandfather did during his service.
Man this cool, I looked at you page and I saw all the minimum requirements, but what is the absolute max? (Edit) By max, I mean harness wise. I fit the height and my weight is propionate, but what does the harness max out at?
