Got my last science exam tomorrow and I wanted to thank you for transforming my science grades from 5s to 8s in the mocks and hopefully the same for gcse. Youve taught me more than 5 years of science in school, you legend
Your a lifesaver. I originally had four sheets of paper summarising this lesson from a textbook!!As I didn’t understand but now I only have one page-you make it so easy and simple to understand thank you so much ☺️
Mr Donnelly, I have my last physics exam today and I just want to say thank you so much for everything you have done for all year 11s. I was predicted a 7 in December but because of you I am reaching for the top grade in combined higher 9-9. Thank you for all your videos you have truly made me understand all sciences. ❤
Short wavelength means high frequency. The energy of a wave is proportional to its frequency (I can explain why if you want but it's well beyond GCSE).
My cgp book is going on about the whole process of everything and anything whilst the video and spec limits it down to a few thingsss I like that the video has condensed information which is easier to revise and take in but I’m worried that the details in the cgp book might come up 😭😭 what do I do? bc I don’t want to waste time revising unnecessary stuff but at the same time yk!
IF YOU WANT A GRADE 9, use this guy and the aqa specification and make anki flashcards on all of the topics and content and do past papers after which is the key
You don't know how you did until you get the results. Also a lot of students I spoke to found the paper 1 exams hard (for Combined Science) so the grade boundaries might well be quite low. Remember that paper 2 is 50% of the final mark so you still have plenty of opportunity to pick up marks. So my advice is to forget about paper 1 and work really hard for paper 2.
Hi, this video is great, but didn't really explain how infra-red can be used for infra-red camras and the same for ultraviolet for sun tanning (the spec says we need to "briefly" explain each application....THANK!!!!!
You are not expected to explain how infra red cameras work or how UV triggers tanning in the skin. You have to explain the application (ie detecting infrared and causing a tan).
Sakil Patel he hasn't started on the workbooks yet. Unfortunately he won't be able to finish the workbooks before our GCSE exams however there is some CGP workbooks which are also useful. You can find them online.
Got my physic paper 2 last exam of GCSE Ever in 1 hour , This probs the last time I’m watching this. Thanks a lot. Used to get Us in my mocks let’s see what I get now. Started watching 2 days before my first Bio exam.
Never stop doing these videos they could replace science lessons altogether thank you

Just a suggestion, would be cool if put a few quick-fire questions at the end of the video to test knowledge.

Hi Sir. Why does having a short wavelength mean it carries more energy? Similarly, why does a short wavelength carry a great deal of info?
Short wavelength means high frequency. The energy of a wave is proportional to its frequency (I can explain why if you want but it's well beyond GCSE).
Thank u Shawn for carrying all my mocks and now my real GCSEs, u the goat
Can you do some exam style questions??
Thanks a lot for your videos - they help a lot!
Do you get all the content from your videos off the aqa spec? And thank you you for your channel making my life easier!

No problem and thanks for the comment. Yes these videos cover the AQA spec and have all the content.

do your videos cover the ocr spec too as i have been using these videos to help me with my spec

Just a quick question, how is it possible to use a HF radio to talk to someone on the other side of the earth?
Because of diffraction
Do you make videos for AQA trilogy and synergy?
Yes both specs are covered.
Why is infrared suitable for infrared cameras and why is ultraviolet suitable for suntanning?
Could we use your lessons to study for edexcel
Yes, there's a huge amount of overlap with the edexcel spec.
Doesn't optical fibers carry data as pulses of infrared radiation
