Another very entertaining video with a lot of comedy and fun. On The Busses with Reg Varney and Stephen Lewis I loved that, just like the other British sitcoms, Dad's Army, HiDiHi, Oh docter Beeching, You rang m'Lord, etc. I still watch them from time to time.
Great in depth informative video CP 😊. Very entertaining too. I loved On the Buses 😆. Gateshead flasher 😂. I'd say that is an excellent price for all those especially as theres some 2019s too .
@@CoinPatrolI got ‘B’ for bond in my change at the national rail museum in York in October 2020! That’s the last time and the first time since I’ve got an alphabet 10p.

A flippin' great video, showcasing a flippin' nice 10p set, bought for a flippin' good price. What a flippin' bargain!! And not a flippin' rabbit in sight, either! ❤
Correct, the fresh starters tend to start at A, people end up paying more. Did you know the RM did not mint any BU standard versions of these coins? The packaged A-Z coins are the same one strike circulation coins too.
The decision to mint these marked the end of my interest in decimal coins. I decided to sell my entire decimal collection and went on holiday. Coin design used to mean something. Now it’s getting like stamps. I am happy with just pre decimal now.
I lost interest in modern coins when the shield 'jigsaw' of circulating coins was introduced in 2008. What really made me shake my head in despair was when Britannia was replaced with Jemima Puddle-Duck!
A great set to have. I had an opportunity to buy a full year set once, for £52, but stupidly passed on it. Saying that, the first time I'd heard of them, was at my Post Office with a 2019 G, and asked them if there were any more - yes, another 9 x 2019 G's! A couple of months later, I got a 2019 L from a shop owner. The only other TWO I have, are from a local coin dealer - 2018 B and 2018 M - £2 each. That's all I've seen yet! Lucky to get all my 2019's for face though.
Found a few of the 2018 coins in my change from the local Wetherspoons but never a 2019. Hint for collectors, get to know your local Wetherspoons bar staff as I have had some great coins from them.
I think most of these were snapped up before they even reached the shops and businesses. I've only ever found the letter T. That's it, never seen one since.
Great for teaching the little ones the alphabet and a bit of history (I'm guessing). Not from the UK so please let me know why these were created. It's early here and I might have missed that part while making my coffee
I do like renaming A for ale & B for Britannia, I wonder why that could be Very good buy Paul. But I think you will be shocked how much a 2019 album will cost. All the way naturally
Hi Ian. The royal Mint were selling a full set of 2019's for £52 (Out of stock now) I wish I'd have bought a few hundred sets Here's the link: www.royalmint.com/our-coins/events/great-british-coin-hunt/early-strike-uncirculated/all-26-quintessentially-british-a-z-10p-coins/
@@CoinPatrol Yep I did buy a set back in late 2019 & I thought I was mad buying a 10p coin for £2 each, however, it’s proved a wise move. The 2019 folder will now set you back £30 without any coins, whereas the 18 is still less than a tenner
A for Ale, B for Beer, C for Cider, D for Draught Guinness, E for English Pale Ale, F for Fire Catcher, G for Getting a bit tiddly, H for Hobgoblin, I for Indian Pale Ale........etc 🥴🤢 I have a set of each year. The 2018's were found, bought, or gifted, but the whole 2019 set was bought direct from the RM for just £39 as I found a 25% off code that worked 😁. Was a wise move as the mintage figures hadn't been announced at that time.
i have only got one of these alphabet coins at home that got in my change a few weeks ago i for get what one it is though. the V coin should have been a Vulcan Bomber rather than village.
CABBAGE 😂😂might take you a while too cook them to a palatable texture 😂😂cool video mate not got any of these in my change yet but still searching
I got one from a supermarket once. A 10p "W" that is . Not a cabbage
@@CoinPatrol LOL awesome not sure how many were produced am thinking not many as they are really hard to find
The Noise when you pop them out of the flip is extremely satisfying
It certainly is 👍
Hi Paul, excellent video and a nice price. Agree about the pork pie
Yes, I was happy with that lot Ian 👍

Another Great Video Paul. I'm glad I got both 2018 and 2019 from Westminster when they came out 😊

Lovely Video Paul. You got a great deal there mate.
Hi Keith. Yes, I was very pleased getting these for that price 👍
Thank you for another entertaining video.
Thanks for watching MCC 👍
realy enjoyed this vid. great job.
Thank you 👍
Amazing set of coins, but so rare to come across in your change! They should've been minted in higher quantities!

Hi Dave. I knew they didn't mint any BU ones. I don't know the reason why though?
@@CoinPatrol It is surprising considering the state of the Royal Mint and their desire to make more money.
The decision to mint these marked the end of my interest in decimal coins. I decided to sell my entire decimal collection and went on holiday. Coin design used to mean something. Now it’s getting like stamps. I am happy with just pre decimal now.
I agree, Pre decimals are far superior👍

A nice in depth look at the alphabet 10p’s and a good price for them too.
Great stuff 👍🏻
Yes, I'm happy with this lot Andy 👍
Awesome pickup! Ive not even started collecting the alphabet series yet.
nice set reminds me of when i was a lad learning the alphabet A is for APPLE
Very nice coins, a nice collection!
Thanks Alrik 👍
Flipping brilliant 😂 I’d bend the X and go for Xmas Pantomime. Quintessentially British
Xmas Pantomime, good idea. Or pop group X-Ray Spex, they were British.
Another brilliant video
Thanks Paul 👍
Great price, nice to add to the Coll collection, keep safe buddy

Ive only ever found one in my change, a "W"
There's a connection with the B and K, if you think of B as the tv series. Has to be fried bread on E coin, it cannot be a hash brown.
I don't get the B and K connection? You'll have to tell me
@@CoinPatrol My bad, it was D not B.

HM Treasury asked The Royal Mint to create a set of coins with things that are quintessentially British. I don't know the reason why though.
@@CoinPatrol thank you. I'll make sure I have my caffeine before starting the video next time. Thanks for your patience

A set of coins with British beers on them. Great idea 🍺 (I love Guinness, but that wouldn't be allowed)
You certainly got a bargain with the 2019 set.
Question -are these iron core ?
I picked up a full 2018 set in the RM album for £60 last week too 😂

2018 and 2019 - the clues are there
