    Thank you so much for this easier to make Laksa! I live in Japan and I can not get all the individual spices to make it from scratch. Plus yours is so simple and fast. I don’t think I can get the exact same jars of spice pastes that you used but there are different Laksa pastes available on Amazon. Looks yummy! That was good advise about not adding too much water or coconut milk. That’s a good point.

    I want to make my son some thing special that he would never imagine me making because he has been to many different countries being in the AF. He has tried many Asian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Mediterranean, Arabian etc and he really fell in love with spicy Laksa. Thank you for your easy recipe for this dish! I'm sure my son will love it when he comes home from Kuwait this month! I think my older son that's in the AF in England would enjoy it too when he comes home in November! Thanks again!

      Yes! I always add bok choy! Typically it is not eaten with bok choy and sprouts but we eat it with a bit of veggies. You can see I had some veggies on the side that I didn’t add it in the final edit.

    Great to see how easy it is to make Laksa. In Honolulu we have a new food stand in Ala Moana mall called SingMaTei. Ir specializes in Laksa dishes. It was delicious and just like what we experience in Kuala Lumpur. Now I can try and make it myself thanks to your video.

    Hi Kate - I was searching for laksa recipes, and your video popped up! I’m definitely going to try this :)
    Oh, and a question: I was going to use red curry paste instead of laksa paste to avoid the MSG. Is there anything else I should add?
    - Shelley

    • @YappieKitchen
      @YappieKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Shelley, you can make your own Laksa paste or curry paste. It might be harder to source all the ingredients but if you go to a South East Asian store you will probably find it. The taste profile is a bit different for laksa vs red curry paste. It has more of a fermented shrimp paste flavour.

    • @YappieKitchen
      @YappieKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on how concentrated you want it. I usually add 4 cups of water to a jar of laksa. Then for the coconut milk I add half a can.
