400 run hard the only thing be careful about boring them out the walls are thin but other than that i like 400s thats A good block.

This that motivation. I got a 85 t top MC. I'm rebuilding my 350. AFR heads nice intake and cam. Holley carb. Nice headers. I hope I can get close to that kind of power. My 350 is crate with like less than 5k miles on it so not too worried about bottom end. Thats far im goin tho with the SB. Im more into LS now so this my last old school project
My pops had those wheels on his Camaro when I was little they must have been lit as far a factory wheels go back in the 80’s cause they still look good
They make those wheels in bigger sizes now also... I've always liked them also...my 87 SS had same wheels

Sounds like the next upgrade needs to be an overdrive transmission.
@Cameron Gooden if it's going to be driven on the street then it's not going to last long running 4k rpm and higher all the time. Overdrive allows you to run the low gear and use over for highway cruising. Technically if it's a race car it wouldn't be on the roads or streets. You can get the best of both worlds with an overdrive transmission and add a lot of life to the motor not to mention some gas mileage as well. If it's all race he should just put a lenco in it and be done with it.

I agree with what you said about racing...I do it for me too. I street raced a LOT in Philly throughout the 80's and 90's...we raced for fun and bragging rights, no arguments, no problems. Once money starts getting big, arguments and bad blood happen. I'm in it for the fun of it.

JMalcolm u familiar with Oldsmobile 403, if so what do u think. I got one in a 86 Pontiac periesienne. It runs good but considering going ls 6.0. Can I get some decent power from the olds motor. I’m hearing parts are hard to find.. Just want some ideas, I like ur work.

You need to ride in my 85 Monte Carlo SS 355/350 tlc street fighter Tran, 2700 stall and a vodo wild cam, 410 rear. It just has a water pump and a alt , AC delete, no ps, electric fans, candy appear red
