- It’s another week of notable Boeing news which includes new quality issues with its 787s. This same week, FAA Administrator Mike Whitaker testified before the US Senate Commerce Committee admitting shortcomings of the agency while discussing ways to move forward and improve on aviation safety. We’ll tackle all of this news in today’s video!

My worry is, if they missed something this big, what else did they miss that they haven't discovered yet? And what about all the 787s out there flying right now? How do they expect us to trust that those ones have been assembled correctly? Unless they physically check them all, they just don't know. They can say "they're safe", but how do they KNOW they're safe? If the ones in the factory slipped through the inspection, maybe others did?
They said it doesn't affect any 787s that are flying in service. thats like saying the a350 went through cracks but what about the whole in-service fleet what could they have missed. how would they expect us to to trust any aircraft that is out there that has problems
the ones falling from the sky are the ones that are not safe. Hope this helps.

0:40 "no immediate safety risk..." maybe later, when it's flying, but no immediate risk.
😂 whilst parked in our hanger there is NO immediate risk 😂
And it just goes on and on...
Thomsen?
@@AmazingAmigo Hier!
What about the fasteners on *delivered* aircraft? How can anyone be sure that they were installed correctly?
Heavy check.
Well I love to know that part that is why I never fly on any new Boeing aircraft this company has lost its way never to be safe again 😮😮😮😮😮
@@holdensv2000 Never say never. Give it 20 years perhaps.
@@holdensv2000 Silly kneejerk reaction based on ignorance on your part in that case. Needlessly limiting your travel options too.
are they going to mandate inspections on the ones already delivered? or is it even possible to inspect in-service planes?
They'll develop some sort of non-intrusive NDT for inspection.
Never
they dont need inspections
It's amazing how Boeing managed to screw up so badly
so did airbus
How is Airbus messed up?
They have done
Don’t worry they increased their bribes (campaign donations) to politicians and Boeing will still make record profits with the additional tax payer funded payouts.
@@nickolliver3021done what? Airbus is way better than Boeing in every way
Sure hope the incorrectly installed fasteners were not close tolerance...
Huh?
Good that quality inspectors are increasing their presence....but the fact that someone can tighten (900..!!!) bolts from head rather than nut without any warning, "probably" means that the way to recover some lost reputation is still far from being reality.
The best advertising airbus ever got
Inspection plus: count your door bolts
Alien in jealous mode remove the bolts, eat poop.😊
This is what happens when the bean counters squeeze more production because their numbers say so even though they never set foot on the manufacturing floor to understand the nuances of the process.
Boeing: "There is no immediate safety risk with this issue. Not until at least two planes fall out of the sky."
how will these planes fall out of the sky
And when two did (737 max)
Shaggys song came on
IT WASNT ME !!!!
Funny how the majority of problems all stem out of the Charleston factory. However I don’t recall issues that came from the Seattle factory
Poor John, it could have been fixed years ago with your help.
and poor him poor to all those airbus ones
Boeing back at it again…
this is good? it means boeing are learning and actually making sure the 787s are safe?
I didn’t mean to criticize Boeing, I’m just surprised that faults in their aircrafts are appearing more frequently these days.
It’s a good thing that they rectified the problem, I get that.
They never quit being "at it".
Well at least now they’ve actually gone and reported and taken action.
Taken action?! On what? Quality or paperwork?
@@arienoordzij3823 I mean that they acknowledged the issue and are working to fix it. They haven’t hidden or ignored it.
Now how many have been delivered with the same flaws 🧐
@@iamLODD none they dont have the same flaws
@@nickolliver3021 right lole
You can only speculate in horror what would have happened if the door on the Alaska 737 wouldn’t have blown out. Would Boeing have improved quality controls that now found this issue or rather waited ‘til another Boeing fell down from the sky? I bet the latter. And what is still undiscovered?
If that Alaska door didn’t blow out there would have been some other quality incident similar to the door
Yes 346 people weren’t enough, I bet if the plane’s went down in the US that these issues would have attracted more oversight by the FAA and maybe the 2nd plane wouldn’t have gone down.
Boeing needs to re-employ all the inspectors they let go over the last 4 years, safety needs to be their number one priority and not profit or shareholders dividends.
ELAL will always buy Boeing aircraft, there is always chatter about them looking at airbus to get the best deals from Boeing.
People dont take pride in their work
Bruh, not the first time 😂
Aliens tarnishing Boeing ,
OMG, I remember the faulty fasteners of the 787s in the late 2000s. Again?
Bro 787 didn’t exist in 2000 ☠️
Lucky they caught it before it went splat
The undelivered nightmareliners
@@wadehiggins1114 and the undelivered crackliners
What do you expect when you hire unskilled nonunion labour to build these planes and save money! Put all previous and current senior management in prison for endangering the traveling public!
Airbus is the very best and safest aircraft out there no problems no grounding no whistle blowers 😊😊
I wondered how lon g before the union card
Union members in Everett also left tools and garbage onboard 767 aerial tankers. Quality control starts from the top of the company.
@@holdensv2000 Airbus is not the very best out there lots of problems and grounding and whistle-blowers for sure but always hidden
Best Airbus ad!
Boeing the gift that keeps on giving
Loose fasteners.
Tightened from head side, not from nut side.
When I used to work in wings, such fasteners called Hi Lok are tightened from nut side until they break from collar.
It is not possible to tighten them from head side which outside the wing.
Very limited space inside the wing. Bulky men can hardly work inside the wing
Well now they gotta fix them. Hopefully they don't forget anything after fixing them...
So are the employees not doing their job or someone deliberately sabotaging planes to make Boeing fall ??
Not again 😩 Airbus for the win😊
until there planes fall out of the sky
Those El Al orders are politically motivated.
Meaning whistleblower was right that 787 can break apart mid air.
Exactly what I thought. You beat me to it.
it has not broken apart
Nightmare liners more like..
and crackmare liners more like too
Oh well
I guess Boeings stock price has tumbled, again.
It’s not gone down much, but this is pre US markets open.
Hundreds? Yikes!
Bummer 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
The only way to solve these problems is to make QC, Quality Control Department independent of any compromise by Management.
well this is was relatively harmless
Boeing job is to assemble by applying screws. And they failed at this.
But rest assured, they claimed these 800 plus problematic screws are ok. I am shocked the screws are still problematic. Remember how the door plug flew off due to few missing screws.
Dreamliner grounding incoming.
Well well well
Oh, Boeing. Can you go 5 second without humiliate yourself?
new delay is going to be announced soon:)))
prove it?
Sounds like Gubb'mint must be running Boeing, instead of private enterprise !
Maybe they need to fire everyone
The FAA is... Boing !! All one big mafia
"Comprehensive oversight plan" means more paperwork. Meh.
Mike Whitaker must be dizzy with all that spin.
Directly or indirectly, it’s more like FAA inspectors discovered more problems.
nooooo wayyyy HAHA !!!!!
Dreamliner, Starliners, .... thank God they don't build Oceanliners.
"Many whistleblowers died getting us this information."
prove that
-nobody
Translation Boeing -> normal people:
Nobody is in immediate danger -> planes will crash
The ECO is getting richer whilst people are dying on their products 🎉🎉🎉
Why cant Boeing just shut operations with immediate effect i mean too many issyss and disasters
why cant airbus? planes are no safe anymore right
Boeing: It’s completely safe!
2 days later… 787 falls out of the sky.
Boeing: Umm…Plz dont tell the FAA.
More like BaDoink now. If it's a Boeing, I ain't going
Hello
Jesus
Clean out the managers that are too wimpy to straighten out problems on all assembly lines in house and by sub contractors. Issuing written statements and excuses means nothing and that’s all the current management does. The CEO needs to leave now and corporate headquarters needs to move back to Seattle asap. Or.. hope Elon Musk buys Boeing.
Who trusts Boeing now? The MAX has proven itself already so if I have to fly I select airlines that don’t have them. Personally I don’t think the MAX should be flying at all. I’ll stick with Airbus thanks.
Same here
Airbus has lots of problems too. Who trusts airbus from their issues? Well airlines will not stop having the MAX. The NEO will prove it will have issues so stick with airlines that fly old clapped out jets. Personally go tell Boeing to not fly the MAX. Airbus is not perfect
@@wadehiggins1114 who says
The whistle blowers told the truth, that's why they lost their lives.
I do not care what these boeing cheerleaders have to say, in Airbus I trust.
In airbus you cant trust. they too have cracks all down them. Those whistle-blowers get hidden up to save airbust but Beoing is all out there
