There seems to be people thinking that Taeyeon is singing in a lower key than Brendon. They are actually singing in the same key. Taeyeon's sound lower because she's singing in a more comfortable part of her range while Brendon is pushing to the top of his range. So the additional strain on his voice makes it sound higher
