Kishore was asked to sing at the funeral by Ashok Kumar himself as a mark of farewell to his wife since she liked Kishore Kumar's songs and considered Kishore Kumar as her adopted child. Since the age difference between Ashok Kumar & Kishore Kumar was 18 years, Kishore Kumar always treated Shobha Ganguly like a mother rather than a sister-in-law. He is immortal because of his nice singing as well as his nice behavior. He will live in our hearts forever. Ashok Kumar ji was also very down to earth person. He said --"With make up I may be a super star but without makeup I am a simple person. He had no arrogance. Very nice Ganguli family. That was the golden time and golden people of Bollywood.

During my school days we had a school picnic at Juhu Beach I was mad just to find out where was his House Gouri kunj Bungalow at Juhu Beach it took many years to find out is Bungalow. Once end of year 1970s luckily I got his Autograph at Tardeo Famous cine laboratory after a song recording he about to go to sit in his car I got an opportunity to take his Autograph. Same place I got Autograph of Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammad Rafi on different Days. Once again thanks for sharing nice Information God bless you.

Ashoke kumar ji was a cousin of one of my Aunt. I heard from her that both Sobha ji and Ashoke kumar ji had great hearts. They always used to extend their helping hands to every near and distant relatives in their need. Their house was always open for them.
