Me, chess player wondering what Opening GSP is playing 😂 but in all seriousness As a chess player whenever someone asks me what books I recommend I always tell them to read the art of war by sun tzu. Your typical chess book will help with theory and positional analysis, tactics…but the art of war develops your mind to think like a battle sergeant and then you apply that thinking of war to chess. After all chess is a game that is based off of war, much like other sports such as Football. My good friend is a muay Thai black belt who recently got into chess…it’s funny because physically we are in two completely different sports, but psychologically we are the same. Always planning and calculating how to strike while never taking your eye off your opponents intentions so that you never let your guard down. Anticipating, analyzing, adapting to the current situation we are faced with.
