My grandparents introduced me to Laurel and Hardy. I didn't care for them much. I prefer Abbott and Costello or the 3 stooges over them :)
I can understand that as the comedy stylings of Laurel and Hardy are a bit slower paced when compared to the others you mentioned, but at least you know who those two are.
