What an absolute troll of an interviewer and Brian had so much patience and control. He was the prefect catalyst of calmness and was the reason behind their success!

@@jeromehattkronen2305 He sounds like a psychopath in retrospect. But English society at that time was so very orderly, and all of a sudden you had teenagers losing their absolute minds en masse over something the adults (ie most of society, and the ones in control) didn't understand. It seemed reasonable to be concern from that perspective.
What Brian's doing here is meeting that alarm with a totally reasonable, calm, and sensible face of acceptable civilized adulthood that recasts that concern as alarmist. A truly invaluable service to a group of four rowdy kids belting the high energy id at an under-respected audience.

Brian represented them really, really well. The interviews he had to do were apparently as silly as the ones the Beatles had to do at press conferences, in their own way. The interviewer absolutely does not get the Beatles.

Good for you, Brian ! So interesting how the establish media resented the energy and enthusiasm around the Beatles

Without Epstein there'd be no Beatles - he was the fifth Beatle with class, panache, business acumen and great instincts - he was born in Liverpool but his accent wasn't 'Scouse' - you might have thought he was from Knightsbridge .

I was one year old when this one done. Five years later this midwestern boy would be standing in line outside his half day kindergarten school gripping a yellow submarine lunch box containing my glass lined submarine thermos that would soon be broken.

Boy that antagonizing reporter just wouldn't let it go, would he? Brian handled it better than I would have.

Reporters and interviewers used to actually go after the questions. The questions may have been dumb sometimes, but that was so much better than the soft-pedaled BS you always see now, which allow public figures to push their own agendas without any real critical challenge.

You see, even back in the 60’s there were goading interviewers trying to trip people up, just to make the interviewer stand out as the one who exposed this or that. Alls it shows is immaturity and repetition! Well done Brian for not biting! A true gent.

Beatlemania wasn't something the Beatles or Brian set out to do. It was a happening they got caught up in. Brian talked about the Beatles make very good records, very true but most of all the Beatles music was unlike anything out at that time. It was basically revolutionary sounding which fueled Beatlemania for sure.

Brian handles this interviewer very well. The interviewer talks as if the Beatles are required to be examples for young people. Theyre not. They only wished to make great music and entertain.

That interviewer was paranoid as hell. Guess he never saw Elvis or Sinatra.

More like didn't know them and/or isn't letting Brian explain the actual words of how he managed The Beatles the right way.

He died at age 32…the same age as Mama Cass, Karen Carpenter, Bruce Lee, Keith Moon (The Who’s Drummer) & Brittany Murphy. Strange death coincidences. He was to be initiated the next day.

He’s brilliant ! The interviewer just seems so negative and appears to be baiting Brian Epstein. Brian is so eloquent and reeks of class.
