Thank you for posting this - especially the footage of Churchill Playing Fields how I remember it - my Dad was Head Groundsman, so I spent half my life there in the 80s.
Wow nostalgic memories... wouldn't it be nice to go back to those times no crisis COVID cost of living etc can you imagine even telling someone about it back then lol
@2:10 Sadly J Scott the bakery has now closed, which is a great shame, they made some lovely cakes. The Post Office on the opposite corner closed down too, but that was many many years ago. the post box is still there .. I think
I remember that the "school" road signs remained long after the school was demolished. They missed an opportunity to add a path through to Churchill when they demolished the building.
Its weird to see corner shops without Cash points in em back in are day cashers were at the back and only the bank, now you cant move for em Kidds play aria with video camera, you wouldn't get that now. and 4:10 this but must have inspired the Telly tubbies
