What is not to love? the choreography plays to their strenghts--such precision and musical awareness and awareness of each other. They are so athletic AND graceful with such speed and their edges! I find ice dancing can get a little too much..too much costuming and role playing and they take ice dancing to the purest level of skill and joy.

Another masterpiece - almost more passionate, energetic and synchronous. The way the three whirl around each other makes you almost dizzy, and then the next moment they're floating completely weightless - unique. The viewer might think that Oona, Gage and Jordan Cowan (camera) have become one - like a small swarm that carries out its choreography perfectly without any noticeable signs. Showing without jumping what ice dancing actually means in the best sense of the word is a very high art! Congratulations - continued success - and I'd love to see more of it. Thank you so much! 🙂

Incredible....choreography, the cinemaphotography, execution of routine ... the way this song was arranged for the performance is just so beautiful... I am not a writer, critic or judge. Just a very happy and enthusiastic admirer and fan of the videos I have seen so far of Oona and Gage Brown in the past couple weeks. Sometimes something like this is so amazing, so beautiful and so perfect I cry because I can't believe my eyes. How can this be in the world when I feel most days so Not like this? I want to stay in this video forever.
Always love to see this pair, whose program to "Nothing Else Matters" is one of my few nice memories of the pandemic. Many people don't know that "All By Myself" is based on Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto. It was nice to hear some of that piece mixed into the musical arrangement for this free dance. The emotional music suits them perfectly, and the choreography was *chef's kiss*. 😍 I can see a lot of improvement in their technique over the last several years: really finishing movements, smoothing out transitions, and more pair interaction -- bravo!
Nobody skates to music as well as the Browns do. Rachmaninoff loved to ice skate. I can't help thinking he would be delighted to see his music interpreted so exquisitely on ice.
@@4Topwood I did not know that about Rachmaninoff! Yes, he would be thrilled, I think.
You may not believe this, but the music for this program contains NONE of Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto at all! While "All By Myself" is indeed based on that piece, which is why Eric Carmen ended up having to share the songwriting credits and royalties for it, all of the instrumental music you hear in this arrangement was actually written by Eric Carmen when he wrote the song and appears in the full-length version on his first album. If you don't believe it, listen to the concerto...you won't find any of that music in it.
