Piece after piece just whipped. Jason Cantu is super-fast and really knows how to make S-10's win at the very pinnacle of competition. He would be a good guy to ask for his opinion. Billy, 2023 will be a most difficult year for the competition. Great to see SRC winning at the most elite levels. That is a badass kit from 417. Bed mounting the turbos👍👍If you have to, run a separate oil system for the turbos. Pump, cooler and reservoir. It will keep the feed oil cooler and you won't have mile long lines.

Billy, Rob is correct in his thinking about the scavage pump pushing oil into the turbos. When I lived in Ca I would frequent the Glamis Sand Dunes and the ultra high dollar twin turbo sand cars that would constantly wheelie from the power were having oiling issues so the engine builders were fixing that issue with scavage pumps..
So happy to see the modifications happening. Please keep up the content as progress happens. We love seeing this piece of history preparing to make more history. Great job guys!

I was so excited to see you was coming to my home track in Wilkesboro a couple years ago , the race was cut short due to the crash of the purple mustang. Im so glad to see it getting the love it deserves. That truck and the Falcon are iconic

Wow, You sure have gone all in in with the truck upgrades. These upgrades are definitely going to change the game you've been playing with the truck. And having recordable data will definitely help to keep you on that razor thin competitive edge. This is going to be fun to watch in the near future. Btw, I hope you guys do a separate video when you get the new engine back for the Faclon. Im sure Mike Lough has put some extra love into it for you guys.
The Industry has definitely grown in selection of parts mods.. I remember back in the 80's Took a 350 Turbo Fire w/a350 turbo to replace a blown 200 c.i. and dropped into a 1980 Malibu like you dad's . and we had to use station wagon springs for same year malibu wagon to get the lift an clearance.. Just a thought tho... While ya got the front half the truck tore down.. Ya may wanna remove the bed and go thru the rear frame carefully and make sure there NO cracks or funny weak spots that might lead to a crack farther down the road.. Maybe even sandblast the frame an throw a coat a paint on her.. Once ya done a final inspection for frame cracks.. I know ya said it was already bent.. Wouldn't hurt to see if a frame shop or Collision Center nearby couldn't check it an straighten her out. If ya took it up as a rolling chassis. JUST A THOUGHT..

For bed mounted turbos I've ran the drain lines to under the truck into an alum 2" tube and capped both ends. 3/4" drains from turbo to top of tube and 3/4" from bottom of tube into scavage pump. Gives you a small buffer room. 2" diameter by 6" tall tube = 10 ounces of oil. For twins rear mounted I've run those tubes and then a 3/4" Y into a single scavange pump with no issues. Returned the oil into the valley cover with a tight radius 90* fitting and it did very good.
Looking good guys!!!! Now run you some bars from the cage through the firewall out to that k member!! It’ll take out a lot of flex. I know it seems rigid, but that first wheelie my say otherwise. Keep digging man!

Looking good guys! Just a suggestion, David and Tina Pierce both run trucks with turbos on the bed. Both have bed covers on them. I think both of their trucks are Sonoma’s so basically the same pickups. They are great folks and I’m sure would answer any questions you might have.
Billy before you choose front tire size and offset measure your scrub radius and use that to base your decision. This gives u all the feeling in your steering wheel. Measure it with the front end up where it would be while under power. Check it out.... Thanks vehicles are looking good man..

I did mine years ago started like you guys ended up with an S&W tube chassis. Make sure to use one piece charge pipe through the cab. But I like the idea of everything in the bed. If I went turbo that's a good spot. Agree with Rob on Oiling of the turbos both supply and return. Maybe the just return to a catch can.
Promod lol OK. There is 1 thing I did with my nova when we cut out the cross member under the engine. We boxed in where we cut it an welded plates. Then we welded up a tube with two flat plates on each end an drilled holes through that an put two holes per side on the frame an tapped them to make it removable for the pan to come off. The reason is so the frame rails don't flex. My car still has everything stock with the stock a arm's. But either way nice job guys. Stay safe an good luck

Billy if your rear mounting the turbos, maybe construct a dedicated electric oiling system, check turbo manufacture for oiling needs.

That's a baller kit, it's going to be sweet when all that hard work is complete and it makes a hit.

Looking good guys! Just a suggestion, David and Tina Pierce both run trucks with turbos on the bed. Both have bed covers on them. I think both of their trucks are Sonoma’s so basically the same pickups. They are great folks and I’m sure would answer any questions you might have.

Billy before you choose front tire size and offset measure your scrub radius and use that to base your decision. This gives u all the feeling in your steering wheel. Measure it with the front end up where it would be while under power. Check it out.... Thanks vehicles are looking good man..

Rob "If you want it we can do it like that". Rob you the man. Lol not a ProMod but could be called a Doityourself Mod,. Lol. Looks good. I did mine years ago started like you guys ended up with an S&W tube chassis. Make sure to use one piece charge pipe through the cab. But I like the idea of everything in the bed. If I went turbo that's a good spot. Agree with Rob on Oiling of the turbos both supply and return. Maybe the just return to a catch can.

Promod lol OK. There is 1 thing I did with my nova when we cut out the cross member under the engine. We boxed in where we cut it an welded plates. Then we welded up a tube with two flat plates on each end an drilled holes through that an put two holes per side on the frame an tapped them to make it removable for the pan to come off. The reason is so the frame rails don't flex. My car still has everything stock with the stock a arm's. But either way nice job guys. Stay safe an good luck
