Haha for sure I did this with a friend of mine back in 2008. We swam all of Eastern Kingdoms and all of whatever the horde lands are called. There were some cool eastereggs and I just remember my buddy and I going wild talking to our friends about it in school haha
as a historian, i find very interesting the fact that WoW cares so much about it's own history, involving archeology, ruins, the evidence of older civilizations in general... it's all explored in a very realistic way! the connection between lore and gameplay is just perfect!!!
Years ago while doing the explorer achievements I flew by that dwarven arathi farm, I hadn’t seen it before so I landed to have a poke around I watched the NPCs for awhile then ran into a house to investigate and found two naked players laying on the bed together, as I’m telling my guild on vent what I’ve just stumbled upon both Characters turned to face me, I slowly backpeddled out of the house mounted up and flew away without saying a word.
okay soo highly unlikely, but my husband and I have definitely been to that spot laying naked together while we were in our long distance relationship LOL, dont really remember someone coming in tho?? so probably not us. but 100% we did that, in that spot, and a few other random "out of bounds" spots too, like the spot above IF with the airplanes/landing area. About 3 years ago btw
Fun fact: At the dwarven farm, the guards can be talked to (i.e. where is the mailbox, where is the cooking trainer, etc) and they'll give you responses as if if you're in Kharanos, Dun Morogh.
Oh my goodness, this video brings back memories from back in the day, in vanilla, when, the moment I reached level 40 and got my paladin's mount I dropped everything and decided to explore every zone as well as swim around both continents. It took weeks of running around, getting beat up by high level mobs, discovering all the new places - including mistaking the far off island off the coast of Tanaris for the GM island 😅 and getting to it by swimming, dying to fatigue, corpse-running back to rez and run as much as I could before dying again. It was one of the best memories I have of the game right next to playing with my friends later on.
Thank you for sharing that story! :) My exploration memories are much more valuable in my mind than hitting max level on a char, getting a good item, etc. ...my fave part of the game is definitely the world!

You should check out some out of the way mountain areas! A while back I found this ridge starting at southern Ashenvale that stretches all the way through the Barrens into Stonetalon Mountains. I like to believe that Night Elves used this place to infiltrate Horde territory.
That's awesome! I will have to explore that... in-game that would make sense since Warsong Gulch is right there so it would make sense for the elves to have a secret supply line there ;) Could you give me a clue as to where that starts? I'd love to climb up it someday :)

Thanks for sharing your epic journey! It takes me back to my world exploring days during original vanilla wow. I used to do a lot of wall jumping and actually found Quel'Thalas aswell. I discovered it by jumping up a wall outside the scarlet monestary, while waiting for my group. Suffice to say I never joined that dungeon run
Haha, it's so fun to hear about people's exploration memories... they are indeed some of the ones that stay with you much longer than a typical dungeon or raid night ;)

2:34 I knew of this Murlock camp due to questing with a friend in the past as a DK and using frost walk or so We went around on the water messing around and found it and basically became one of our hangout spots I miss them, hope they're well wherever they are, do sometimes wish I could go back and re-experience these memories to talk to them again
There is just so much to discover in world of Warcraft … if my grandchildren ever ask me if I regret spending 10k hours in world of Warcraft I just say „not a single Second“ …
I started in 2004 and playing on my free time from work even now. Exploring is definitely cool. I never got time for it. P.S music in these zones is forever in my head!
So that's the quest on the Thandol Span bridge I can never find!! I've played this game for nearly 10 years, and not once have I ever gotten that scroll from the dwarf...
6:33 In the before time, (Before WOW), many MMOs had in-game customer service reps. called GM/CMs. They needed places to test things out, bring players to have private conversations, determine if a player was cheating, etc. A lot of these places around the coast were put in as a place for potential GMs/CMs back in the early days of WOW.
I've played WoW since the start of BC. Our friends invited us all those years ago and now, all these years later, I still enjoy it. This is more a trip down memory lane, and it is nostalgic, however it is also modern, and I can really appreciate it. I found you just via the TH-cam suggestion, so that is great. I Sub'ed and clicked the bell as well. If you are playing in Classic, I would love to see you work your way around Northrend and Kalimdor. I recall when I play my priest I would hit feather fall so I could run Over the water and get places, never took a long swim like this, so this is great. See you soon!
I just wanna say i actually liked watching this video a lot, gj man, good content and well executed. U can still improve it of course, and ill make sure to be here to check out ur new vids :)
I remember getting to some of these areas back in 2005 with a little help from "wall walking", where your character could clip walls at just the right angle and you would actually be able to go up at a slow pace. Unfortunately people started to exploit it during PvP events and it got patched :(
Btw if you go to Vashj’ir on a Druid that has completed the into quest, you can swim back to the mainland with like 700% movement speed as long as you stay in aquatic form.
Go to Vashj'ir next and farm that Poseidus mount like I did for months and months and years.. then go down to the Sphere/Pearl out of bounds and the zones that were going to be a part of vashj'ir but got scrapped, but are still down there very deep in the water.. creepily.
Cool video - thanks! - I recently did the same thing with Exile's Reach and it was fascinating, some curious things around the coast line that take a lot of effort to find, which is intriguing in a starting zone, and you go off map for a significant chunk of the journey across the north of the area - I recommend a druid for travel form for these kinds of adventures btw.
Fun Fact about he Swamp of Sorrows: You wonder at 2:52 if the zone was suppossed to be bigger; well, The Blasted Lands are, in lore, part of the Swamp. Before the orcs arrived, that part of the swamp was known as the Black Morass, and it was there were Medivh opened the portal for the orcs to come to azeroth.
Kudo's to you for swimming it on a non-druid toon - alternatively, if you weren't on classic (or similar) and have access to a water mount (seahorse/turtle) - however, I like the lore tidbits about what you see for ruins and such
The fact that you didn't do this on a druid with aquatic form is insanity. I love it.
Haha thank you! :)

I knew of this Murlock camp due to questing with a friend in the past as a DK and using frost walk or so
We went around on the water messing around and found it and basically became one of our hangout spots
I miss them, hope they're well wherever they are, do sometimes wish I could go back and re-experience these memories to talk to them again
Funny how those memories stick with us, even if we never met the people we played with they can still be memorable friends :’)
@@Jediwarlock you described it so well
Amen
There is just so much to discover in world of Warcraft … if my grandchildren ever ask me if I regret spending 10k hours in world of Warcraft I just say „not a single Second“ …
True, true, true! :) There's definitely reasons it is, in my opinion, the best game ever XD
This is an awesome series, I'm excited for part 2. :)
Thank you so much! :)
I started in 2004 and playing on my free time from work even now. Exploring is definitely cool. I never got time for it.
P.S music in these zones is forever in my head!
Thanks for the comment! Yes, the music of WoW is truly magical :)
So that's the quest on the Thandol Span bridge I can never find!! I've played this game for nearly 10 years, and not once have I ever gotten that scroll from the dwarf...
As I've told people many times... you can play for 10 years and still learn something new every day! :)
I do this for fun sometimes. There's a lot to see! Cool video.
PS. When you reach Westfall, keep an eye out for a very hidden elite shark
Thank you! Didn't see any of those Reef Sharks unfortunately... I was too close to the coastline I think, but I did see some Reef Frenzy mobs haha
I’m glad Blizzard gave GMs their own fun little spots! :)
Thank you for the comment and sub! :) I definitely plan to do Northrend and Kalimdor as well!
Love your content dude you’re underrated as hell I wish you the best of luck
Thank you Liam! That means a lot :)
HAHA i did that in Vanilla.
Same time as i jumped up along the Mountain wall to the IF airport
Loved exploring
Ooh yes the fabled airport!! I will definitely be checking that out someday ;)
@@Jediwarlock Not sure when they removed the wall climbing/jumping option, but sadly they did make it impossible to get up there at some point
Man... Severe nostalgia kicking in.
Haha, the old school WoW vibe is what I'm going for, so I'm glad that seems to be working! :)
I just wanna say i actually liked watching this video a lot, gj man, good content and well executed. U can still improve it of course, and ill make sure to be here to check out ur new vids :)
Thank you so much! I hope to iterate and continue making videos well into the future :)
Finally a good recommendation from youtube! love the content
Thank you! :)
I Subbed! MUST keep up with this series!
Thank you very much! :)
This is EXACTLY the content i hunger for. No joke
Glad my video is giving you what you're wanting! :)
ive been playing wow since Tbc, i still enjoy just running around the game and looking at stuff
It's one of the best parts of the game! :)
I remember getting to some of these areas back in 2005 with a little help from "wall walking", where your character could clip walls at just the right angle and you would actually be able to go up at a slow pace. Unfortunately people started to exploit it during PvP events and it got patched :(
I have heard about that before! Who knows what cool spots we are missing out on these days because of that patch! XD
I did this back in the day during vanilla as well, and I'm sure I've done it again over the years :D things have sure changed!
Indeed! :)
As an explorer myself, I really like this kind of content. Keep it up!
Thank you very much! :)
Swam around within 7 and a half minutes. Now that's impressive.
A new record for sure! ;)
Btw if you go to Vashj’ir on a Druid that has completed the into quest, you can swim back to the mainland with like 700% movement speed as long as you stay in aquatic form.
Oh wow! Sounds like quite the unintended buff XD
Go to Vashj'ir next and farm that Poseidus mount like I did for months and months and years.. then go down to the Sphere/Pearl out of bounds and the zones that were going to be a part of vashj'ir but got scrapped, but are still down there very deep in the water.. creepily.
I rememebr flying from SW as high as possible, getting dismounted and falling in to the edge of Vashjir.
Great idea! I love exploring the world :)
Thank you! It's my fave part of WoW :)
@@Jediwarlock Yea I've been going through your channel, this is my jam haha. The Rocks that's so clever.
oh cool, i never knew about that placeholder quel'thalas!
It's definitely a fun addition to the coastline! :)
Thank you for the comment! I will definitely be looking into the Druid option for the Kalimdor videos lol
Very good point! I like your thinking on this with the lore :)
I always used to go by that murloc settlement to get at some of the rarer types required for one of the Qs.
Ah, very nice! ;)
Cool idea! The algorithm did it job for once :) great video thank you for doing it.
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words. :)
this is a really cool series! keep it up
Thank you! :)
Kudo's to you for swimming it on a non-druid toon - alternatively, if you weren't on classic (or similar) and have access to a water mount (seahorse/turtle) - however, I like the lore tidbits about what you see for ruins and such
Thank you! I am definitely thinking of leveling up a Druid a bit for the Kalimdor episodes. :)
