Billy is NOT playing left handed in this video. He was using the front camera on his phone when he recorded this video and it created a flipped effect, appearing as he's playing left handed but he ain't. Sorry for confusion!
I noticed that anachronism, however, as a fan of Doc Watson since 1960, l truly admire his fantastic ability to give a lot of credit and respect to Doc and his father for the inspiration to become the flat picking genius that he has become. We all are blessed to able to hear and see Billy perform the music that we love. Not only traditional and Bluegrass, but pop tunes through the ages. This talent comes through immersion and practice. People are not born with this amount of talent. Hard work and dedication are the key. I, as well as many others, have a great admiration for Billy's amazing talent, and for sharing with everyone else through U Tube!
💗Cool, no confusion! Thank You Jaden, so kind of you to share with the world, Billy appreciates it im sure, I definitely do! It's my only outlet, You tube, for now anyway, so ty!💠💗💠
Oh my God my God ! Oh Praise God! Freaking beautiful experience I just had listening to this on a Monday afternoon. My back porch in the shade, beautiful flower garden in full radiant bloom, I hear children playing in the above ground swimming pool at the trailer next to mine. And then THIS. Oh the bliss! A total trance state overtakes my body. I can't help but move to this music like a rave. Like the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, like sticking my tongue on a 9 volt battery of my heart.

I'd heard Billy play clawhammer before but this went to a whole new level. Wow he's a phenomenal banjo player. Of course, his guitar skills go without saying as well. Thanks so much for posting this!
He was doing Blaze Foley covers at the man's gravesite, and he wanted to play a song but he "didn't know the words" and then he channeled them perfectly from Blaze himself.
They hit the nail right on the head when. He received guitar player of the year should get it many more times and his love an passion for music and sharing it is amazing
This is the second time I've had a chance to hear that song. The rythem seems to put my brain in a hypnotic state. How unique. Oh, I like the next one. keep playing, I'm gonna grab Souly.
Anytime I listen you playing Billy I can't do nothing but just enjoy and feel soooooo goooood!! Thank You so much 🥰💝🥰💝🥰🥰💝🥰 Yes I am your great fan from Croatia, Europe and I do hope to live enough long to listen you alive and, perhaps meet You in person!! I know I'm watching the recording... still amazing Billy. Thanks for the Doc Watson, I know he is a big influence on you, Nashville Blues was my first one of his... still a struggle but I love it
Thanks, but I take no credit for Billy's awesome skills! I believe when he recorded the video, the image flipped and it makes it look like he's playing lefty but he's actually playing right handed
This is badass Jaden. It's relaxing for me, I'm liking it. I listen to all the concerts, but like the ole sit down porch gigs the best, wow, lovin this y'all 🎵,,,,🌼Cheryl 💮🕊️
B Billy Strings has always been keeping track of every strum and note. Thru the movement of his mouth when he was three yrs old picking and strumming hiss guitar he would count the timing as he wouldpla mo we and played with his Dad and Uncle r
I believe your the best Guitar player of all time.your totally awesome.God has really given you a fantastic talent. Use it use it use it.i also love your upbeat Gospel songs. Always throw in a little Gospel in ok?.I think you could do ...I am the man Thomas really great.will you play and sing that one for me .
I’d like to hear Billy play at a much slower tempo. I think it would show his genius more. All the greats play slower when they get older. I look forward to hearing him mellow like a priceless fine wine.
What's the name of that song around the 11:00 minute mark? I play a little clawhammer, I'd like to learn that song. Whew! Good job Billy. You'd think banjo was your first instrument, but apparently you can play anything with Strings.
Hmm im left handed. Sucks.. I bought a guitar today at a pawn shop and it was so dusty my goodness... nice song choice btw. I used to sing that back when i well in the before time in the 90s but that is one of my favorites.

Just wonder how many songs, note for note, word for word, Billy carries in his head?!!
That's what I find truly amazing as well!

Is your name pronounced, sergei cefronov? Trying to better my Russian reading.
His sense of rhythm is just as amazing as the notes he plays
I love to watch and listen to this guy. He is the BEST, but just a reflection of his former self.
I discovered Billy Strings a few months ago. I love this artist. I hope one day I'll see him, and Molly Tuttle, in concert in France.
"just a reflection of his former self" HaHaHa, clever.
The best I hear is when Billy plays alone or with his pops
I agree! When he plays solo (or with his dad) its just you and his amazing talent.

Don't even know how to express the feeling that banja gives an ole boy! Hooked 🎣

What's the name of the banjo song at 9:00?
Does anyone know the names of those banjo songs? Love the vibe, very beautiful
