Dany practiced that "rock face" so she had to keep using it 😃. 23, 21, and 18 now. Incidentally, that guitar Dany was using is the one the Lzzy Hale (Halestorm) gave her. She came onstage during The Warning's set, knelt, and presented the guitar to Dany and then did the "I'm not worthy" bow.
They recorded this to share with their grandparents to show them how much they have learned. The video went viral and they started thinking that this is what they want to do for life, if possible.
Metallica saw their cover as kids, Kirk Hammett said that 'the drummer kicks maximum a**'. I'm a fan of both bands. I've seen Metallica multiple times. Have yet to see the Warning. Love the Blacklist album version, glad they are playing that one.
There are other covers from when they were young. But once this first one blew up on TH-cam and they started writing their own songs they stopped playing covers to avoid the label of cute cover band. They picked up that ball and ran with it into the future!
By the way, Nikki, the guitar Daniela uses in this song was given to her on stage by Lzzy Hale in the middle of a performance where The Warning was opening for Halestorm.
Loved your review. Another cool thing is when you cover a band and then you get the chance to open for them. This happened with Foo Fighters, Guns N Roses, and their favorites of all, Muse who they opened 4 shows for in Mexico and will be opening 5 more in UK/France soon.
Hey Nikki! They are now 23, 21 and 18 years old. Big bands in the industry are starting to take notice of The Warning. Muse chose them to open 4 shows in Mexico. They liked them so much, they are opening shows in Europe for Muse in June! Halestorm took them on 2 tours last summer. Then Three Days Grace had them on tour last November across Canada! All of the songs they have released from this Teatro Metropolitan show are AMAZING! More Please! Thanks, Nikki!
I'm a huge fan of The Warning's new arrangement of the song. For 30 years, Metallica's original has been high up on my playlist. Dany, Pau and Ale breathed new life into the song and it stands strong, on it's own. It seems blasphemous to say that The Warning's version is better, but if it isn't, it's only because the contest is too close to call. Regardless, I love the new passion and llife that they breathed into the song. I'm truly amazed by the re-imagining of this classic. I highly recommend all of their songs. I've yet to find something that wasn't great. Thanks!
Lzzy Hale really wouldn’t mind losing out to The Warning in your poll. Lzzy gave Dany the guitar she is playing in the newer version. It wasn’t just a random gift. It was the fulfillment of a promise Lzzy had made 16 years prior, near the start of her career. Here’s the whole story in Lzzy’s own words. Jasin, that she refers to, is Jasin Todd the original guitarist of Shinedown. th-cam.com/video/51dbA0sstSk/w-d-xo.html
Dany practiced her facial expressions for a day or so getting ready for this recording. Back then, they did these in one take, and if they messed up, they started over. This was when they used YT to share their music with family and friends, then that ES video went Viral! That Bass Ale has is actually a shortened guitar for youngsters. As you can see in the 2nd Re-imagined Blacklist version, she grew into the full length perfectly. It was meant to be. Paulina loved to hit things as a kid, you can guess the rest. They do Atlas Rise for another Metallica cover. Both live versions. One is at the Whiskey go Go, and the other is in their practice spot, same as the original ES video. Both have pro audio, and both are great!
TW fan and Metallica fan. Love the re-arrangement of TW version. The first video the bass is a four string 3/4 size bass, so it isn't even a full size four string. In the second video, Alejandra is playing a custom Spector 5 string full size bass. The bass is named after her, "Ale Inferno". Fun fact: when TW went to New Jersey in September of 2020 to record the "Error" album, the Spector team drove from Woodstock, NY to Clifton, NJ to hand deliver the bass to Ale. Then, after TW was finished recording the album in December, Spector did a photo shoot featuring a gold bass, I believe they referred to it as "Golden Thunder", and Ale's custom bass. TW and Alessia Cara had 5 days to arrange, record, mix, and submit their version of Enter Sandman for the Blacklist charity album. They were under a time restraint partly due to the fact that their producer, Matt Squire was leaving in a few days so they had to really work fast before he left Monterrey.
I was a Metallica fan long before I knew TW existed. I was unsure of the Blacklist version at first but have grown to absolutely love it. The higher backing vocals (with the exception of Alessia Cara’s) are actually Pau not Ale. Ale generally sings the lower backing vocals but does have a beautiful falsetto that she uses once in awhile. Ale doesn’t have any specific songs written for her to sing lead on (she doesn’t normally like to sing lead) but she has occasionally taken lead on River’s Soul, Red Hands Never Fade or Hunter.
Thanks for choosing the live CDMX performance of Enter Sandman. I was never a Metal fan, but when I heard this version of Enter Sandman, I took an interest in Metalica and started listening to their original version of Enter Sandman so I can appreciate the changes made by The Warning. Love your video! Few reactionists play the 'kid' version along with the 'adult' version.
So glad TWA came through for the win!! Still, no member of TWA would be unhappy with a Halestorm reaction. Lzzy Hale and the boys have been important mentors for DPA. Lzzy gifted the guitar that Dany played in the second video here. There area number of videos of her coming on stage in the middle of TW's set to present the guitar to Dany. That scene causes tears to fall from the eyes of many grizzled rock n roll veterans.
Oh wow, I didn't even notice. It's a Gibson Explorer, an original, Lzzy's been rocking one for years. She even has a signature model, the 'Explorerbird'.
I've been a Metallica fan since the 1980s, but The Warning are going to be every bit as big as Metallica. It's great to see these versions back to back. Thanks for coming back to them.
The Guitar that Dany was playing in the New one was given to her By Lzzy Hale from Halestorm. Lzzy had it made special for Dany and she presented it to her on stage. Dany was floored and she thought Lzzy had just let her borrow it. But lzzy said no it is yours and play the heck out of it, and someday you can pay it Forward.
BTS has beaten us and I believe Nightwish once, but other than that, yeah, pretty much TWA will insure TW wins as many polls as possible. I believe Lzzy Hale would be happy TW beat out Halestorm. She really loves the girls. She teamed with Gibson guitar to find a Gibson "Explorer" and build it to the same specs (the hardware) as Daniela has on her PRS guitar and presented it mid-show to her on stage, in the middle of thier set in Irving, Texas. They also spent some time at Lzzy's place last December to do a writing collaboration. So, Lzzy wouldn't mind at all TW beat her out on your poll. This cover was done only 2 years after Alejandra began taking bass lessons.
The beauty of having parents that are prepared to fully support you. These sisters went viral with this track as youngsters, so they grabbed the opportunity that this popularity gave them and the rest as they say is history.
I was a Metallica fan before I was a warning fan. The warning to me has re-energized the Hard Rock scene. They are not just the best up-and-coming female rock band they are the best up-and-coming rock band.
Hardcore Metallica fan here seen them live probably about 7 times loved that you did a double reaction to this great band and if you dig deeper into the warnings story you will see many more of their dreams come true involving the bands that they admired growing up such as MUSE,Guns and Roses,Def Lepperd,Alice Cooper,Foo Fighters,Halestorm,3 Days Grace and so on....enjoy your journey We will be here to guide you and watch the reactions!!
Hello again, Awesome Lady! I hope you are having an awesome night and that everything is wonderful with you. The Warning performed at the Aftershock Festival last October. While they were there, they were able to meet Band Maid in person for the first time, evidently, they have been online friends for a while. The Warning performed, I think it was an hour or two before Band Maid played their set, but they were on different stages.
That's so cool. I love that they're friends. 😁 I really gotta look into more festivals. It's been awhile since we've been to any and it's a great way to see a handful of bands at once..and now I know more of them thanks to this channel. 😂😁 Hope you're having a good week!
@@nikkireviews Band Maid is going to be at several festivals this year and will be touring the US in May and August, and they just announced their August dates. I think I remember you saying you were on or near the east coast, so they might be near you in May. The August dates seem to be more midwest and western states this time. They will be doing Lollapalooza in Chicago, and that has a bunch of big names in it. Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless also met Band Maid at Aftershock, and really loved them. This week hasn't been too bad, just unseasonably cool, but not really cold. I hope you are having a wonderful week. Take care Awesome Lady!
I've been a huge fan of Metallica for 30+ years but they've taken a backseat when I started listening to The Warning. I'm not sure if you noticed but their first cover has over 24 million views.
Great reaction Nikki, I am a BIG The Warning fan! I had stopped listening to rock for some 20 years until I came across TW by accident. Now I am hooked on their hooks, chord progressions, and their passion on stage. I definitely enjoy what they have done with Enter Sandman. I am sure I am biased, but I will take their version over Metallica’s. Please keep these reactions of TW coming!👀😊🤘⚡️
You are correct. Ale is totally chill, and very focused. Ale is 18, Pau is 21, and Dany is 23. They did a few covers years ago. Check out their cover of AC/DC's "Back in Black" from when they were 9, 11, and 13.
They were 22, 20 & 17 during the concert at Metropolitan Theatre held on 29th August 2022. Now they are 23, 21 & 18 obviously. Alejandra or Ale, the bassist, finally an adult now 😂 She is also the tallest - at least a head taller than her eldest sister, Daniela or Dany who is the guitarist & main vocalist. Paulina or Pau, the pocket sized nuclear reactor behind the drums, stays away from this height stuff 🤣🤣🤣 Here is a short clip of the sisters goofing around regarding their heights during the pandemic th-cam.com/video/PFXsode21p4/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TimberWolf762 And another short clip by Dany keeping track of Ale's vertical growth a few weeks back th-cam.com/video/MtsnXMNNvls/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TimberWolf762 Thanks to TimberWolf762
Glad you chose the pro-shot video from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert. Definitely shows their growth and stage presence. Thanks for the reaction. TW fan; like Metallica just not a huge fan.
🗣 Great reaction Nikki! I love Metallica, but I've only seen them LIVE one time; around 2008-ish? Their light show was worth the price of my ticket. I am going to #4 The Warning shows in a 5 day span beginning in one more week. If I make it through my meet-n-greet show it will be my 11th TW concert. 🤘🤓🍿
Metallica and The Warning fan here. I think they nailed it. They are great live too. Oh might I suggest, since TWA will flood you're polls, if TW wins maybe react to the video that came 2nd as well. To make it fair lol
I was in my 30s when Metallica released the Black Album. I was NOT a fan! I just found out that The Warning existed a few weeks ago. I was stricken immediately, and dug deep into their material. The first version of Enter Sandman I came across by them was the stunning OMV with Allessia Cara. I love it, and the version in the 2nd video which is essentially the same. So it occurred to me to give the Metallica version a fair chance, but I still don't like it. Sorry!
The are some old photos out there of Dany playing Rock Band ... and she's already got her Rock face going. A natural. She's always felt it. And I prefer this live performance more than the collaboration, even though the collab is darn cool. Huge fan of Dany's gritty vocals here, coupled with Pau's featured backing.
The newer cover is so much better simply because instead of trying to replicate the original, they're interpreting the song and putting their own spin on it, which is always more interesting than trying to copy the original. Not saying it's better than the original because that would be silly, but it's far more worthwhile because it better stands on its own. Not to take away from the promise that they showed as quite literally little children, but as for something to listen to, the newer cover is great. Never a huge Metallica fan, but it's obvious to me why they were one of the few heavy metal bands that have ever made it big and why their music stands the test of time. For as heavy as their stuff is, when they made hits like this it's because it's catchy and they lean into those pop sensibilities. Pop sensibility is making something not necessarily easy, but easy _to latch onto;_ something anyone can follow. For all the skill it takes to play Metallica songs properly, and tbf this is far from the hardest so not a great example, but you can still hum along all the melodies of their biggest hits. Even if you can't play it, you can still follow it. Most popular music does tend to be bland and generic because mixing the nuanced and detailed with the easily understandable is very hard to do, but when you do manage to match meaningful depth with surface level appeal, you get songs fondly remembered and covered by people born decades after it was written as seen here. 😊
Nice reaction... 2 for 1 what a deal.. I'd like to see you react to their cover of the Foo Fighters , THE PRETENDER.. they were very young and very awesome doing this song.. it's one of their best covers as youngster's I think... Keep rock-in TWA🎶🤟☮️
Here a 1 min video of Dany with her guitar teacher when she was so young. This shows that she's always made face expressions she is so funny!! th-cam.com/video/fEuzHiLJZK8/w-d-xo.html ... On May 2 , I get to see them for a second time here in L.A. California
When I watch the video they did 10 years go they were cute, adorable, and you could see the potential of being really good...now go forward to this masterpiece, which considering they had a week to do this and make it their own the musical genius really shines through.
I've been a Metallica fan since the 80s and have seen them live 3 or 4 times.. I love The Warning's version and how it starts soft and builds up to the iconic riff and jam session at the end. Kinda genius, IMO. The have also done quite a few covers that are pretty good and worth watching. Love Ale flexing on the bass in their cover of Muse's Hysteria by switching her hand over and under the fretboard on a complicated bass line at such a young age.
Yes TWA is great when they get into polls.I saw Halestorm and TheWarning July 2022 great show at Blossom Music Center in my hometown.Great show by both bands.
I've followed Metallica since their beginning - Lars, the drummer is a fellow Dane. I am also fan of TW. TW actually did another Metallica cover they had something like 4 days to learn before performing it at the "Whisky a Go Go" and you might want to check it: The Warning covers Metallica's Atlas Rise th-cam.com/video/fhhG5EiFiyA/w-d-xo.html And, yes they did other covers when they were younger: my fav is Foo Fighters "The Pretender" cover.
They played it in the Cave in 2017 on four days notice. The story I had heard was that Metallica was going to be playing in Monterrey, and they were trying to set up a jam after the show, but that fell through. I believe it was 2019 when they played it at the Whisky, as thanks to one of the organizers of the concert who's a big Metallica fan.
Oh awesome. I'll have to check both of those songs out. I like Foo Fighters too so it'd be interesting to hear what their version sounds like. 😊 Thanks!
Big fan of The Warning, not a fan of Metallica although if they come on the radio I won't change the station. I just don't seek out their music. The Warning however, I will seek out to the ends of the earth.
Un cover original de The Warning, ENTER SANDMAN, el mejor tema del blacklist ,un tema que puede ser incluso mejor que el original, excelente interpretacion ,buenos coros, TW son maestras de la composicion
You admit The Warning is new to you. You admit not knowing of videos of them when they were very young.. So why am I here. We know The Warning well and have been following them since they began their musical journey.
Cover is better than original. I never liked Metallica, but I like both of these versions of ES that The Warning did. The OMV is great, too, for the visual effects with Alessia Cara on the wall of the old mill.
At 12 Pau was already a better drummer than Lars...J/K (Kinda)...Shots fired. I am a Metallica fan, but I was an old school Metallica fan from the 80s. The Black Album was a turning point for the band where they started shifting away from metal and into more of a hard rock sound. A lot of us old school Metallica fans didn't initially like it, especially Enter Sandman...probably because it was so overplayed on the radio. As I grew older I started to like the Black album more and more. But this version of Enter Sandman is perfect. This arrangement is the way the song should have been. It felt forced into being a metal song on the Black album. It really needed a woman's touch.
Metallica goes for broke on the instrumentation. Which, fair enough, they're a rock band, that's their thing. But I've heard their original versions of a couple of their songs (because they were covered by other groups and I wanted to compare), including this one and also Nothing Else Matters, and I have to say, I am not at all impressed with Metallica's vocals. The Warning's vocals are *significantly* better. (The other cover I was interested in was done by VoicePlay, and comparing to their vocals is just completely unfair; they're a world-class acapella group, so vocals are their main thing and they are *good* at it. Asking a rock band to live up to that standard, is like asking a chicken to wrestle a grizzly bear. You may think you have a particularly tough chicken, and maybe you're even right about that, but...)

Oh wow, that's an awesome story about the guitar! 😮
They recorded this to share with their grandparents to show them how much they have learned. The video went viral and they started thinking that this is what they want to do for life, if possible.

Ale,the bassist was just 9 yrs old rocking out to Metallica. Incredible.

Oh wow that's awesome 😁
By the way, Nikki, the guitar Daniela uses in this song was given to her on stage by Lzzy Hale in the middle of a performance where The Warning was opening for Halestorm.

🤘🤓🍿
US tour in May, Europe in June. Next legit super group.
I was a big fan of Metallica in the 90s; big Warning fan since 2022 when I discovered them on YT.
Good video! 👌🏼🇲🇽

🤘🤘⚡
Metallica and The Warning fan here. I think they nailed it. They are great live too. Oh might I suggest, since TWA will flood you're polls, if TW wins maybe react to the video that came 2nd as well. To make it fair lol
Nice reation!
Sorry!
I am with you , never liked Metallica , the TW version of that song gives it Cred !🤘🤘
🤘😎❤️⚠️
9,11,13 in this video.
14, 12, and 9.
Nice reaction. This whole concert was great
Thank you, and yeah I'll definitely have to check out more of it.
Oh they did a cover of that too? Awesome, I will have to check that out. Thank you!
Here a 1 min video of Dany with her guitar teacher when she was so young. This shows that she's always made face expressions she is so funny!! th-cam.com/video/fEuzHiLJZK8/w-d-xo.html ... On May 2 , I get to see them for a second time here in L.A. California
FunFACT Found the first EnterSandman video by TW because of being a Metallica fan!!
That's awesome 😁
When I watch the video they did 10 years go they were cute, adorable, and you could see the potential of being really good...now go forward to this masterpiece, which considering they had a week to do this and make it their own the musical genius really shines through.
Ale is the greatest
🙋⚡⚡⚡🔥🔥🔥

I've been a Metallica fan since the 80s and have seen them live 3 or 4 times.. I love The Warning's version and how it starts soft and builds up to the iconic riff and jam session at the end. Kinda genius, IMO. The have also done quite a few covers that are pretty good and worth watching. Love Ale flexing on the bass in their cover of Muse's Hysteria by switching her hand over and under the fretboard on a complicated bass line at such a young age.
Ah, that 2nd live version is similar song structure to the cover video they did with Alyssa, thus the slower start on the guitar.
Love the warning ! Excellent reaction young lady.
Yes TWA is great when they get into polls.I saw Halestorm and TheWarning July 2022 great show at Blossom Music Center in my hometown.Great show by both bands.
Thanks
I have seen all your reaction to them: tel me the truth: with this song you definitevely begin to love them!
Oh definitely! 😁
@@nikkireviews Oh, did I guess right? Just kidding... I got it from the eyes!
I love the warning version of this better than Metallica's
Oh wow!

I🖤TW🤘

I've followed Metallica since their beginning - Lars, the drummer is a fellow Dane. I am also fan of TW. TW actually did another Metallica cover they had something like 4 days to learn before performing it at the "Whisky a Go Go" and you might want to check it: The Warning covers Metallica's Atlas Rise th-cam.com/video/fhhG5EiFiyA/w-d-xo.html
And, yes they did other covers when they were younger: my fav is Foo Fighters "The Pretender" cover.
😊 Thanks!
I call this the Early Warning.
😊
That's a good way to word it!
Big fan of The Warning, not a fan of Metallica although if they come on the radio I won't change the station. I just don't seek out their music. The Warning however, I will seek out to the ends of the earth.
Hello neighbor just found your channel and yes they do other covers think about their cover to Atlas Rise and the foo fighters the pretender.....
There's a record breaking number of Metallica fans then there's TWA
There's also a cover of them doin it with Alessia Cara
Un cover original de The Warning, ENTER SANDMAN, el mejor tema del blacklist ,un tema que puede ser incluso mejor que el original, excelente interpretacion ,buenos coros, TW son maestras de la composicion
😊😊😊
😊
You admit The Warning is new to you. You admit not knowing of videos of them when they were very young.. So why am I here. We know The Warning well and have been following them since they began their musical journey.
Well I appreciate it, cause I'm a noob that needs some educating on this band. 😜
❤️🥰❤️
Cover is better than original. I never liked Metallica, but I like both of these versions of ES that The Warning did. The OMV is great, too, for the visual effects with Alessia Cara on the wall of the old mill.
I agree...This cover is better.
The ending was the original version of Metallica to pay homage to them.
I DARE YOU lol
Please add Tool to the poll. You will get a massive army of Tool fans when you start reacting to Tool.
Was a young teen following Metallica in the 80's...well done y'all...
That's awesome. 🤘
