I miss LFH so so much. I feel like crying when I think about it. I was at work when I heard of the cancellation, and I nearly lost my composure in front of everyone. I was looking at my phone, and someone asked me, "What's wrong, did someone die?"
What a week!!! Love the "merry band of Vocoder imitators." That harmony gives me chills every time... And SARAH! I love her version of "Come On Up to the House" so much, I can't bring myself to listen to the original. She killed it!
0:38 Sara Bareilles- 2:50 Berry Gordy- 4:50 Imogen Heep- Hide & Seek 8:50 Jean Sibelius-Cow are you coming out? 11:09 Tom Waits- Come on Up to the house
The Imogen Heap tune is easy to play with a keyboard/ a one hand chord. / a vocoder- but to do a live vocal ensemble as Chris and the crew do here...is astonishing..so accurate and in tune...

Arguably the best "Birthdays" of the year, each song superb.

Tom Waits' original is a classic, but his voice is VERY different from Sarah's.
Damn. So good. Every week.
So bold. Imogen Heap this week. Good Vibrations earlier on this year. These people are not daunted by five part vocal arrangements. They have no fear.
Come on up to the house was incredible
Sarah as Sara @ 1:21 is so spot on.
So nice that Sarah and Alex were reunited on Come On Up to the House. They killed it

Maggie Rogers was so hyped after that performance she just started hugging everyone, which was delightful.
Riches abound - this grace note: Sarah J's eyelids are world class expressive. See that?
