      @@BleepSleep No, I fought that battle early on and the replacement machine (after 10 years of continuous use) and headgear are all covered for me. I have baby fine hair after medical treatment for an illness so headgear slides off during the night. The Bleep is crucial to my getting a good night's sleep. Thank you again for the video, it really helped me understand how to put it on correctly.

    Started with Bleep last night. Getting the Dreamports on was pretty easy. Connecting the Dreamway was a struggle and after watching videos I know now how to properly put attach them. Took about a half hour BUT I woke up today with NO leaks recorded, slept very well too. I will continue to practice, practice, practice since I truly enjoyed my sleep last night with no headgear and leaks. The silicone headgear broke off my very healthy hair and was concerned I’d begin to look like a chicken if I continued. Looking forward to continuing use of the Bleep solution.

    You've really done something wonderful here! I LOVE the Bleep mask. FYI, I use a cotton pad with a little witch hazel on it to clean the skin on and around my nose, let it dry and then apply the ports. Totally non-irritating. Despite your lengthy, detailed explanation, it really is not AT ALL complicated or tricky to apply - it's quite simple! I keep a hand mirror next to my bed and put them on right before I lay down to sleep. I find if I insert the end of the port (one at a time) at a slight angle to get one edge under the "hooks," and then pop the other edge under, it goes right in as it's meant to. Finally, a suggestion: the Dreamway frame that attaches to the tube has a slight curve to it - I always try to attach the frame to the ports so that the curve aligns with the curve of my face. There is a little bump on the opposite side that makes it easy to feel which side of the curve is which. Once you attach the ports to the frame, that little bump also serves to lock the arms into place to prevent them from rotating as you sleep. Again, thank you for this brilliant and comfortable cpap system! I will never go back to any kind of mask!!!

      @@BleepSleep I'll give it some thought. By the way, I wanted to get back to you on that comment I made about the curve of the frame - after I wrote it, I realized that the little bumps that stick out (to hold the "arms" in place after you turn them after inserting the ports) - they are on the outside of the curve, so now I just use them as my guide as to which way to attached it! Also, I had remarked somewhere else on my concern about plastic waste. But again, when I reflected on it, I realized that your system - even though the ports and tape are disposable - creates FAR LESS waste than other mask systems! Even the Airfit P10, with its relatively large amount of plastic in each pillow - why just the amount of plastic used just to WRAP AND ship each individual item is more than over a dozen of the tiny Bleep Dream ports!! And, you package and ship your product using lightweight cardboard and paper, rather than wrap it all up in thick plastic!! So, well done!

      @@BleepSleep Stuart, I've been using the system for a couple of months now and still love it. I have been able to educate two of the suppliers in my region about it - and both of them have now confirmed insurance approvals and begun to procure it for customers. I have a couple of thoughts about it that I'd love to share confidentially - perhaps via email. One is regarding the diffuser and the other is about the connection to the hose. I will send a text to your cell number and perhaps you could provide an email address so I could explain. Thanks.

    This is the absolute best sleep mask I’ve ever used!!!! I mean it never leaks! I started cutting the edges in the block cut as you said. I use the left over pieces to put one above between my nasals and one below between my nasals. Just to give extra support. It took me 3 nights to get it figured out. But now as you said, I can do it in the dark. The key is to make sure the ports click in place and then slightly turn it. The only time I’ve ever had a leak is when I’ve not had them clicked in correctly.
    You are a genius! I tell everyone about these. The only downside is I have no insurance and I have to purchase all out of pocket. Currently I’m not working and have very little income. Do you have a program to help people like me to buy at a discount?! If they were reusable a few times they would be better than perfect! Keep up the good work!

    I recently received my swivel setup that you use in the video and love it! I’m not sure why it works better, but it also helped cutting the strips like you do to make a more square cut. I also tried skin barrier before applying dreamports.and have been able to get a better seal with pressures set at 17-20 cmH2O. I have tried a few different full face masks and nasal masks but really love that the dream ports don’t make my eyes swell and my nose sore. I almost gave up on the dreamports, so glad I watched this video a couple of times. I am starting to get the hang of putting them on!!! and love them!!!

      What is your AHI at those pressures? Have you found that you can turn your pressure down and still maintain a great AHI? Almost all full face mask users switching to nasal can adjust pressure down from 3-4 centimeters. You may be over titrated on pressure right now and it's worth looking into. You are welcome to call me to discuss. Thanks, Stuart (919-619-7170)

    So so frustrated with the DreamPort. I don't know if I have a weird nose but the only way I can get them attached is to first put them on and then lie down so there isn't any tortion pressure and take the tape off and apply it again stretching it to get the tape tight (taut?). Getting the ports connected to the mask is beyond frustrating and I can see why they moved to magnets. I also experience Aerophagia with these that I don't with other masks. All that said when it doesn't leak i have 0 AHI and even when it leaks it's not a great deal. I can see where it might work for some folks but man is it tricky.

      I as well have struggled for a period of time with proper port placement. These definitive instructions are great! I really never realized that they should point straight down, that should make things a lot easier. In regards to hose management, this makes a lot of sense as well. I have had the mattress attachment for a while now but I still managed to pull things apart a few times. I can see by placing it in the front center of the mattress that that problem should go away.

    • @BleepSleep
      @BleepSleep  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can gently blow your nose and use a Q-tip to clear away excess mucus, if needed. You should always blow your nose prior to applying DreamPorts to help eliminate the unnecessary need to do that during the night. Sometimes it cannot be helped though, but that's the best solution I can offer you, other then replacing them after blowing your nose normally.

    Does this work if u breath through ur mouth also?

    • @BleepSleep
      @BleepSleep  ปีที่แล้ว

      You would have to address mouth breathing like you would with any other nasal mask. The upside is the vast majority of patients find they can reduct their pressures 1-2 centimeters when coming over from another nasal mask, and 3-4 centimeters if coming over from a full face mask, and having their AHI stay the same or reduce. The reason is they aren't losing therapy pressure from mask leaks. Have you tried mouth taping? It's pretty popular now.

    Even with the alcohol cleansing, the adhesive did not stick to my skin at all. All edges of the tape gaped. Amazon 2021 purchase. Sorry that this happened as I was looking forward to this potential solution.

    • @BleepSleep
      @BleepSleep  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that. If it didn't adhere with alcohol as the astringent cleaner, then your skin is most likely secreting excessive oil during the night. You could consider a skin prep barrier film to block the oil from coming through prior to putting the adhesive on.

    • @BleepSleep
      @BleepSleep  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should try alcohol for cleaning your skin. More than likely you are one of the lucky few with oilier skin that causes problems. You can also use a skin prep barrier to block oil from coming through. Happy to webinar and discuss. Give me a call on my phone at 919-619-7170.

    Does this work well with ResMed cpap machines?

    • @stuartheatherington4992
      @stuartheatherington4992 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it will work with any CPAP machine on the market. I personally have used both an Air Sense 10 (Fixed and Auto) and a Respironics DreamStation (Fixed, and Auto) over the past eight years and can fully attest to the fact that it does. The DreamPort can be used with CPAP, AutoCPAP, BiLevel (Bipap or VPAP), Auto-BiLevel, Travel-CPAPs, ASV or AVAPS. So there's not anything the DreamPort will not work with. The only style of CPAP you would have issues out of the box working is with the ResMed AirMini Travel CPAP, because of the coupling on the end of ResMed's proprietary hose. You would have to buy an adapter to have the ResMed AirMini to work, as ResMed made a special connection point that only fits three of their masks. I know several patients that have done this though. They can be found on Amazon. So, to recap, the DreamPort will work with any CPAP unit and any CPAP tubing (standard, headed or climate line) on the market. It works with humidity on as well. The DreamPort is recommended to be cleaned in soap and water, but has been cycled through devices such as SoClean and Lumin without degradation. Let me know if you have any more questions. happy to help.

      PH - did you figure that out? If not, text me a picture of the end of the tube, as the DreamPort should fit in there like any other mask would. Out of curiosity, have you even using the Respironics Dreamware? If so, it has a slip ring that comes off all the time and remains jammed in the tube. It would have to wedged out. I see this happen a lot; another mask part being caught down inside the tube opening. 919-619-7170. Thanks, Stuart
