I was into my forties when I learned about dressing modestly, and head covering, and when I did "CHRISTIAN WOMEN" IN THE CHURCH gave me dirty looks, negative comments! There is strong deception, in many of our American Christian churches. I remember when I was deep in depression. There was a pastor who sat me down and started telling me about my appearance, not to wear pants, make up, etc. That meeting left me even more broken and empty and feeling less worthy of Gods love. By Gods grace another minister came along a few months later. He told me everything that was in my heart, the depression and fear that was tormenting me. Afterwards He prayed for me and those spirits left me and the love of Jesus took hold of me. I never had depression again from that day, and I learnt an extremely important thing from this 2nd minister; Satan works from the outside in, Jesus works from the inside out.

I was raised from a good church that speaks true gospel of GOD and they preach evrythn that you my sisters have said.... thank you so much for this message. last year in October the Lord started dealing with me on the same subject. I stopped make up, earings, and He began to show me to wear long shapeless dresses. it was awesome and he taught me that every time I wear the wrong clothes, put on make up, or wear earings, I was defiling my heart. He showed me that these things clutter my heart... that they were in fact idols. whenever I tried to wear them I would feel it in my heart, as if I was in fact wearing them in my heart and as my heart is where the Lord abides, I was cluttering it. even my hair he showed me that I have to keep it natural. He said we should not follow the fashion of this world, but be holy in our dress as this reflects our hearts.
People don't like to hear the truth but the fact is jewellery, makeup and some hair styles are idolatry and do carry spirit or symbolise a spirit behind. I had my encounters with jewellery and hair styles, ask yourself why makeup transform a person to look different. God reveal to more to than once the hair styles that symbolises a cobra or serpent. With wearing long dresses or skirts wait until God tell you not to. I do believe a person must have her own personal encounter with God in order for her to be submissive and obedient. You can choose to be transformed by the things of this world or by the holy spirit. I cover my head don't wear earing everyday like I use to and don't use make up at all. concerning the pants I am waiting for God to tell me if I should wear or not but deep down I have days where I feel like I don't want to put on a jean.

years ago my church was very much again pants, process hair, make up and jewellery...that was unheard of in my church u wld b seen as a backslider or in rebellion but now things have changed, the same church is now saying its OK to wear these things so now I have questions in my mind...if it was wrong then wat makes it OK now. Few months I kept on hearing a voice telling me stop wearing earing I was puzzled. then a month later I had a revelation about covering my head which I am practising it now. I am so eager to present God's glory in my body and in my spirit. I want eveything that is God to have dominion in my body. I know He is changing me for better not for worse.

@Delmar Hagen ... I'm not against obedience to Jesus Christ. I'm not against obedience to the Ten Commandments. I'm against trusting in oneself for salvation. Salvation belongs to God. Salvation was all Jesus is work. The only thing we do concerning salvation is believe that alone. When it comes to discipleship we must follow the ten commandments, and repent of our sins in order to mature and grow and to get other saved.
@Delmar Hagen….. First of all, it Philippians 2 says "work out" not work for. That means he's urging already saved believers whatever the Holy Spirit lays upon their heart to do, do it. James 2 is talking about how our faith is dead to people when we don't give to the poor. Will our faith alone save someone from starvation and nakedness? I would like for you to do something for me. Read again the whole chapters of James 2, and of Philippians 2, and show me where do you see loss of eternal salvation?

I too was trapped in a teaching that said women must wear dresses all the time. I was freed when God showed me that we are in the New Testament covenant of grace not in some kind of a grace and law mixed gospel. If we wear dresses according to Deuteronomy we are compelled to keep all the law and Christ is become of no effect to you. The new covenant says women should dress modestly, and should have our head covered, our hair is given to us for a covering. We're told in Timothy and Peter that women are to dress in modesty without braided hair, expensive clothing, pearls and gold and to adorn themselves with good works. I remember when I was deep in depression. There was a pastor who sat me down and started telling me about my appearance, not to wear pants, make up, etc. That meeting left me even more broken and empty and feeling less worthy of Gods love. By Gods grace another minister came along a few months later. He told me everything that was in my heart, the depression and fear that was tormenting me. Afterwards He prayed for me and those spirits left me and the love of Jesus took hold of me. I never had depression again from that day, and I learnt an extremely important thing from this 2nd minister; Satan works from the outside in, Jesus works from the inside out.

thank you so much for this message. last year in October the Lord started dealing with me on the same subject. I stopped make up, earings, and He began to show me to wear long shapeless dresses. it was awesome and he taught me that every time I wear the wrong clothes, put on make up, or wear earings, I was defiling my heart. He showed me that these things clutter my heart... that they were in fact idols. whenever I tried to wear them I would feel it in my heart, as if I was in fact wearing them in my heart and as my heart is where the Lord abides, I was cluttering it. even my hair he showed me that I have to keep it natural. He said we should not follow the fashion of this world, but be holy in our dress as this reflects our hearts.

People don't like to hear the truth but the fact is jewellery, makeup and some hair styles are idolatry and do carry spirit or symbolise a spirit behind. I had my encounters with jewellery and hair styles, ask yourself why makeup transform a person to look different. God reveal to more to than once the hair styles that symbolises a cobra or serpent. With wearing long dresses or skirts wait until God tell you not to. I do believe a person must have her own personal encounter with God in order for her to be submissive and obedient. You can choose to be transformed by the things of this world or by the holy spirit. years ago my church was very much again pants, process hair, make up and jewellery...that was unheard of in my church u wld b seen as a backslider or in rebellion but now things have changed, the same church is now saying its OK to wear these things so now I have questions in my mind...if it was wrong then wat makes it OK now. God doesn't change he remains d same right? Salvation was all Jesus is work. The only thing we do concerning salvation is believe that alone. When it comes to discipleship we must follow the ten commandments, and repent of our sins in order to mature and grow and to get other saved.
@Delmar Hagen….. First of all, it Philippians 2 says "work out" not work for. That means he's urging already saved believers whatever the Holy Spirit lays upon their heart to do, do it. James 2 is talking about how our faith is dead to people when we don't give to the poor. Will our faith alone save someone from starvation and nakedness? I would like for you to do something for me. Read again the whole chapters of James 2, and of Philippians 2, and show me where do you see loss of eternal salvation?

Jesus gives eternal life, and no man shall pluck us out of His hand or the Father's hand. He does not say that it's temporary, or on a trial basis. He says it's eternal, and it is given:

We are sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise. It's God's promise to save us and keep us saved the moment we believe on Jesus. It's not our promise:
[Eph 1:13 KJV] 13 In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, (KJV)
[Eph 4:30 KJV] 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. (KJV)
We can *not* keep the law to be saved. To try to keep the law to saved is trusting in ourselves and *not* in Jesus Christ and it cancels out grace:
[Act 13:39 KJV] 39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. (KJV)
[Rom 3:20 KJV] 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin. (KJV)
[Rom 3:28 KJV] 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. (KJV)
[Gal 2:16 KJV] 16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. (KJV)
[Gal 3:11, 24 KJV] 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, [it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith. ... 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. (KJV)
[Gal 5:4 KJV] 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. (KJV)
Does this all mean we can sin all we want? A believer could try to do that, but he/she will be chastised, and possibly go to an early grave. We see an example of this when a man in a church was sleeping with his father's wife and disfellowshipped from the church gathering. They were also waiting for him to die, but he was still saved:
[1Co 5:1-5 KJV] 1 It is reported commonly [that there is] fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. 2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, [concerning] him that hath so done this deed, 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the *spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus* . (KJV)
The following passages talk about how the believer's inner man or spirit man can not sin. However, Paul explains how the flesh wars against the spirit. The flesh is the reason why we still sin no matter how many good works we do, and no matter how many sins we repent of. The reason why is because God purifies the believer's spirit, but not the flesh. The Holy Spirit can help us improve our behavior even though our flesh is corrupt, but our behavior will be far from perfect because our flesh is corrupt:
[1Jo 3:9 KJV] 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. (KJV)
[Rom 7:14-25 KJV] 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that [it is] good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Galatians is talking about circumcision because that's what they were doing, but James 2:10 explains that if keep the whole law and offend in one point we are guilty of the law. So anytime they talk about any form of works it's talking about the law. People who preach to you to keep the law to be saved, stay saved, or prove your saved do not keep the law either. They do not keep the standard they make:
[Gal 6:12-14 KJV] 12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. 13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. 14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. (KJV)

I too was trapped in a teaching that said women must wear dresses all the time. I was freed when God showed me that we are in the New Testament covenant of grace not in some kind of a grace and law mixed gospel. If we wear dresses according to Deuteronomy we are compelled to keep all the law and Christ is become of no effect to you. The new covenant says women should dress modestly, and should have our head covered, our hair is given to us for a covering. Thank you Lord, I am free from the Judaizing and Zionist teachings in the churches of today. There is no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. What you teach keeps people condemned and repenting every minute. Thank God for grace.

We're told in Timothy and Peter that women are to dress in modesty without braided hair, expensive clothing, pearls and gold and to adorn themselves with good works. God, who never changes, said in the old testament (deut 22 I think? ) that it is an abomination for men to wear womens clothes and vice versa. So, we know what is holy and right in God's eyes. We are given knowledge of what is holy and acceptable to God. So it comes down to this, knowing what is holy and acceptable to God, are you dressing for Him or are you dressing to fit into the world? We're not under law, BUT WE DO KNOW WHAT GOD DEEMS AS HOLY. I do not wear pants because I am not a man. I know what is pleasing to God and it has nothing to do with law.
