    As Elvis never visited Australia, my friend who loved him so much spent lots of time and money following him round the US in the 70's going to as many concerts as possible. Elvis noticed that she was in a wheelchair and had someone hand deliver one of his scarves to her. It's her most prized possession. How sweet and thoughtful of him. Thanks for all your great videos.

    I lived next door to the ranch in my trailer park on Hwy 301 & Nail Rd. We watched them ride horses out there./ My Horn lake school bus stopped at the gate every morning. :)
    We later lived in a little trailer park in Walls MS.
    When that was a 4 way stop sign there, my friend lived in a house right across the road from the ranch house. We remember seeing the trailers Elvis placed out there too :)
    We heard that while riding out there ,Pricilla lost a very valuable ring near the lake one day. I wonder if it's still there? :) We heard that the 'boys' had that BBQ pit built for Elvis as a gift.
    Pause at 9:41 and you can see our trailer park in the top right area in the far distance. Mans Trailer park, we lived there two different times in the mid & late 1960s.
    Thanks Billy ,you brought back a lot of great old memories brother :)

    Elvis was a giver if you were at a car lot and he was there and bought a car and if he seen you trying to buy that car he'd buy it for you, that's how generous he was he was a great man and never ever forgot he was poor when he was a young boy, R.I.P. elvis god only takes the best that's why he took you god bless your soul. 🎤🎤🎤🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤

      But he wasted so much money! Colonel Parker took half and wasted it. Why did Elvis not see what the horrible man was up to. Elvis buying everyone a truck, then they all leave the ranch after a few months. It is all so wasteful. He may have been very generous, but he was also extremely wasteful.

    He was taking care of everyone he knew. I can understand why he didn’t have all the money. Your videos, and many others talk about how generous he was. Over 300 cars, he just gave away. That’s cars. Not trucks and houses, Ect, Ect. He had everything and wasn’t afraid to give it all away. He gave a little girl in a wheelchair his ring right off his finger. I wish I was alive back then. I would have loved seeing him in concert. A much better time then today.

    My Daddy and Uncle bought it from Elvis in 1969...we lived there from 1969-73...Daddy built the big pink Clubhouse, which was originally white. It was North Miss. Recreation Club. Daddy (Lou McClellan) and my uncle ( Jimmy McClellan) also built the pool. My mother and Dee were friends....we went to Whitehaven Church of Christ with Dee and her 3 sons for many years...Ricky Stanley and I were friends for many years.

    Omgosh, I loved every second of this video. I have been so curious about this ranch. It is amazing that Elvis didn't own the place that long yet no one has really done anything with the property. How is it that you were not stopped? It was great not just seeing the bridge but you walked us over it, too. And the cross was just so spiritual. It reminded me of the cross that was used for his mom's grave. I did get to see that Circle G sign when I was at the Hard Rock in Memphis, too. Thank you sooo much for this video!!! 5 stars! And the drone footage was pricelesss!

    The barn restrooms were sooo cute when we moved there...they had mares on one and. stallions on another...the mare one had a pic of a horse with a bow in her hair painted on the door...the stallion one had a horse blowing steam out of his nose! Not sure if Jack Adams had it painted or if Elvis did. So cute because children would ask me " Which one am I?"lol

      Thank You John.. I have visited the Circle G about 10 or 12 times since the late 90's and really enjoy it overtime I go.. I feel a connection to it even though Elvis really wasn't there very long.. I think he bought it thinking he would really use and found out he was just too busy to have it and Graceland.. There was not enough time for both and the cost of keeping both up was a bunch.. Spa Guy

    What a treat to see this! If you've never read Donna Lewis' book, Hurry Home Elvis, volume II, you would probably find it very interesting. Her dad George Lewis worked as a gate guard at Circle G Ranch and it was he that built the BBQ grill for Elvis. Donna spent time with her dad while he was guarding the gate and she makes many references to the goings on at the ranch. She also mentions in her book about the bathrooms and how they were labeled "mares" and "stallions". There is a lot of valuable information recorded in her books. Thanks for sharing!

      @SpaGuy  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      May, That sounds like great reading... I wish I had known some of those facts when I was making this.. Mr Lewis is in the picture of the Circle G Ranch truck.. He is wearing a EP Shirt.. I had no idea he built it.. I wonder if he was still alive.. You really know your stuff.. You Rock!! Spa Guy

    • @MorningMary67
      @MorningMary67 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Donna's books are out of print, but you can still find volumes one and two, for a pretty penny. Mr. Lewis did pass away years ago, but Donna is still alive. She spent a lot of time going to the Memphian Theater when Elvis would rent it out and she mentions this frequently in her books. I'm just wondering if you have any plans to go there and make a video? I think it is now the Playhouse Theater. I know you are very busy, but it might be something you want to do in the future. Thanks so much! YOU ROCK! Keep on TCB!

I still plan on going inside I have just never caught anyone there.. Been there about 3-4 times.. I will def do a video about it though..

    Ok, If you want to interview and old man going on to 85 years old I'll do the best I can. My Dad had a band in Memphis called (Doc McQueen and the Rock and Roll trio) the members were Johnny Burnet, Dorsey Barnet Paul Burleson and my dad. I found our that Elvis also preform with Johnny Burnet's group before they started playing with my dad. The practiced every night in an old house 24 North Cooper ST. in Memphis. Sometimes when I'm in Memphis I park across the street from the old house and just listen. Even though they are all gone now I can still hear the music coming from the old house. My Dad played the piano for President Ronald Ragan and Nancy Ragan in the white house. He turned the living room into a recording studio at 24 north Cooper St. and help kick start Rock--n--Roll in Memphis.

I could not help but feel melancholy afterwards, having felt that we were walking alongside you and wishing that Elvis was still with us. I can see that there was a lot of promise with the Circle G until Elvis snd everyone lost interest. It very well have could have been an excellent place to escape to and get away from the everyday pressure of being the King of Rock and Roll.

    Great video! At that time when he bought Circle G I worked as an assistant service manager at Oakley Motor Company, a local Ford dealer, 1064 Union Avenue in Memphis. One night just before 9PM closing, a rep from Elvis came into the showroom and contacted a floor salesman about buying some Rancheros. The salesman was very new to the dealership and hadn't had a very productive month. He made an initial deal and eventually we delivered 12 to the Elvis fleet. I wasn't there - I went home at 6PM but it was the talk of the Union Avenue dealers the next day! Also, my cousin worked at Sears in Whitehaven and sold several high-end lawn tractors/mowers a day or so later. That purchase was by credit card and almost didn't happen until a supervisor was contacted at home. He had to come to the store and verify the purchase.
    Enjoy your excellent videos..

      Hi. Sorry, I can't remember the name of the salesman, but do recall the night sales manager was Gene Berretta, who actually had to take over and help. As you may know, salesmen came and went quickly (ha) and a few became permanent for longer times. The only other thing I recall was that there was an older Ford Bronco that was used as a shuttle on the Mansion property but wasn't licensed to use on the street. For servicing and repairs we sent a wrecker and towed it to our shop and returned it the same way. Once I got to go and noticed Vernon had a garage shop and was restoring old cars. Just saw that briefly. Hope that is worthy info! Have a great weekend.

    Thank you SpyGuy for sharing your stories to all of us Elvis fans. I have loved Elvis since I was a kid watching his movies and TV specials with my mother brothers n sisters and friends. We are were and still fans of Elvis music. I seen him in 1976 last concert in Atlanta Ga. I was 14 yrs old. I have alot of his albums. My mothers and my 45s that I have held on two since I was 9 yrs old. My younger brothers would get hot wheels. And my mother would buy Elvis 45s for me and for her self. So we took time sharing each other records and always made sure to give each other back thier on 45. Then I would start buying his albums. I have 33 blue Hawaii and no telling of how many other albums I have of Elvis.I had pins t shirt big poster pic of him dressed in blue with his blue eyes that hung over my bed. I had a Elvis bust that was paintedfrom the shoulders up. I had Elvis pics all over my bedroom walls with pics of other singers.I wish I knew where all my stuff was today. I would have never gotten rid of any of his stuff from the last concert I had seen of him in person. Elvis was King to Rock n Roll music. And he is still King to this day of Rock n Roll music. No one can come near his music. No other musicans or todays music. We love Elvis 💖 and always will. No matter what he did or didn't do in his life has nothing to do with his music. He singed from his heart. He loved his mother he loved his wife and he so loved his daughter Lisa Marie. So thank you SpyGuy for bringing us info on the King of Rock n Roll. Elvis was not a GOD he was a real human being. And ppl would not leave him alone. Standing at his gate 24/7. I love his cousin Billy n his wife Joe and Billy the Memphis kid. These are true ppl who spent time with him and Pricilla and Lisa Marie her cousins. I want to say Thank you again for all your hard work. And Thanks to Elvis for all his music from the blues hiilybilly music to Rock n Roll . By putting his on sound to his music and to Gosble music.

    According to Priscilla some of the happiest days of their marriage (place of honeymoon) were spent at the Circle G Ranch. It is prescient that many of the structures still remain that were there when Elvis owned it. Let's trust the new owners are able to revamp and provide it for access to the public!

    I met Elvis many times while I lived there. The bridge was NOT built by Elvis....Jack Adams built that...This was Jack's summer home. I had a mini bike that I rode all over the property. I was in high school the whole time we lived there. In fact, in my junior year class favorite pics were taken there...it was then in excellent condition. We had Open Horse Shows there in the 70's....we had quarter horses and shetland ponies.

    Excellent video. Very well done on this glimpse into somewhere you don't often get the chance to see. I had been to the Circle G on a couple of occasions in the 2002-2007 period but want ever able to find anyone to give me permission to go and see the BBQ structure. It's a shame to see it deteriorating in such a way. I was told by one of Elvis' friends (Charlie Hodge or Joe Esposito - I cant quite remember), that 'the guys' paid for the BBQ pit to be built as a present to Elvis. Also, did you know that Elvis actually sold the Circle G twice! He originally sold the ranch and the new owner was not able to keep up payments on the property, so apparently (under the law at that time) ownership automatically reverted to the previous owner - Elvis!

    • @SpaGuy
      @SpaGuy  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Javelin1835, I did not know it was sold twice.. I will look into it.. I did know that the guys had the grill built in fact by the guy in the picture standing leaning on the Ranch truck Mr. Lewis.. Thanks for watching.. When I filmed the BBQ segment I had just driven through the gate that was open and ran up to the grill so my adrenaline was really pumping there is no telling what I said.. Spa Guy

      Spa Guy, I found your videos around 45 days ago. I love seeing what (relative to EP) things are like now. I've been to Graceland several times, Tupelo on a few occasions, Circle G was a pass by look as a child. I last visited Memphis and Graceland 8-10 years ago. It's changed alot over the years. More questions about Circle G...what happened to the motel/Mexican restaurant? I'll come back to this post after I search for the urbexers with video of it.

    I agree, this place was more Presley & Pricilla than Graceland. I’m so upset the house has deteriorated, Elvis was an icon to a generation of young kids , who’ve grown to be adults as I have and I loved Elvis, I was one of his fans the year he died I couldn’t believe it. I mourned for days.

    Great video! I walked the Circle G property around 1980(yes--I was trespassing)lol I remember that the outside bathrooms were marked "Stallions" for the men and " Mares" for the women. The place was vacant at that time but there were still saddles in the stables(not sure who they belonged to). I always wondered what the large pink-colored building was. It's interesting that it was a Mexican restaurant but it had been used as a residence when I was there. There was an old Cadillac under the carport. There was also a large swimming pool to the left of the restaurant structure. It was constructed like a public swimming pool.Is it still there? I would love to know the history of that property

    Very interesting, Circle G is a beautiful oasis away from a hectic life. Its amazing that he really only owned it for a short period, he certainly had fads and grew tired of things easily. So little photos from here out in the public domain, although i would assume the family have many more. Strikes me also so little photos of Elvis on the Lisa Marie plane unless you know of a stash i would love to see. Also what amazes me is how little cash Elvis ever had available to him at any given time, considering he was making a lot you would wonder how much the people around him and his lifestyle drained away so much so fast as he made it great video thanks

We will sit back and remember the good old times and all the wonderful things we had. But there's one thing for sure the memories will always be there, time can't destroy them. The memories of Elvis will always be with us because God gave him talent and a loving heart. He became a Bell Sheep for Christ and with his songs and his loving heart he lead a lot of people to God. To Leona Wilson Mann yep but Memphis can't handle all the fans that stay there during Presley week for sure they needed something but you are right alot of greed going on . Hell they have enough money to pick up these homes and restore them I just think they dont care obviously . Its their loss though really as they could definitely make tourist attractions out of these places that Elvis owned. To me it's a shame that they have let them go to waste as they have . These homes are part of rock n roll history thanks to Elvis .
