Man Tim Henson playing Nick Johnston’s solo always gives me chills. Tone sounded amazing and he even ended it holding his guitar up with one hand like he always does.
@@cookitketo3592 I'm sure it sounded fine in person but a recording of a concert on a phone is never really a good display of how the mixing sounds in person but yeah it would be nice if we could hear everyone better in the recording
@@cookitketo3592 But Tim was the one playing Nick's solo? I don't understand how that's a joke. Did you think he meant Scott's solo? Because that I definitely understand
@@ifoundthistoday The song Champagne by Polyphia? There’s three guitar solos total; Tim is 1st, Scott is 2nd, and Nick is 3rd. Nick isn’t part of the band so naturally he won’t be at every show, so Tim plays Nick’s solo live
You know, after recently hearing Little Wing for the first time (I know), I realized that their music isn't really guitar number one. The guitar parts are actually quite rythmic and supporting almost
I have been so many polyphia shows and their mix are never perfect in my experience. Some shows I could barely hear the lead guitars at all and I’m usually at the front row
@@noats3213 A guy sound guy should do something like 75%/25% in each speaker, that way each side of the stage can hear when harmonies are being played for instance. That is definitely NOT the case in this video as you can only hear Tim during the harmony parts and drowns Scott out pretty much completely for his solo
I bet whoever recorded this was standing in spot with bad acoustics. Standing all the way off the edge of a theatre like this usually isn't the best spot
@@sohamdata That is definitely not it. Periphery plays with 3 guitarists generally playing different octaves of the same riff, and it is all one cohesive sound. The sound guy basically made this into Tim Henson ft. the other 3 guys

Tang.inuming galing. Solid yung mga solo. Tsk2 nakakapanindig ng balahibo kung mag melody yung gitarista. Sana ganyan din ako kagaling gumawa ng melody.

Jokes I guess? Lol
Sad you can’t hear anyone over Tim, though he is definitely sick and I’m surprised he’s taking on these monster feat.s

Was there for this. Whole set list was amazing.
Do you remember the setlist by chance hahaha?
That venue fits the boys vibe so well.
Soon as Scott strummed his guitar, I smiled. Thanks for uploading, mate!
Music by lead guitarists for lead guitarists

L yeah! Thank goodness for polyphia and competition or company. Was getting tired of Santana lol
Who can't play the music made by the lead guitarists
My fav song of theirs!!!!!
So clean
So dope. Thanks for posting this!

Being at the front row might be the reason. Maybe the speaker wasn't pointing at you
They perform this on my Birthday!
I was at the Ohio show last night and they absolutely killed it
True legends 🙌 👏 💜
OK officially .. Tim did some string bends in there ...
i thought it was impossible
He never said he doesn't
Why is tim's sound so loud compared to scott?
usually they have it panned so Tim in one speaker and Scott in the other
Because tim is lead for this jam
Also some panning work but yeah

Tim kinda shit the bed here lol.
Can you do it better? He played it flawlessly 2 nights ago in Denver
Little bit yeah
the fact that we can only hear his playing doesn't help. the tone sounds really unforgiving too. but yeah, not too great performance
do it yourself then
@@yoyomaster989 not talking to you
why tf is tim so goddamn loud compared to scott
i think it's just the coherence of sounds, Tim usually plays on a brighter tone, not to mention that Scott plays an octave lower too.
I bet whoever recorded this was standing in spot with bad acoustics. Standing all the way off the edge of a theatre like this usually isn't the best spot
