Certainly a beast of set, quite incredible really. It would be about $1100 to get it in Australia. Would like to but too many others sets to buy.
It’s a feat for sure! Yeah I know how that feels, this has stopped me getting sets for two months!
Do you buy through Amazon or another website?
@@F1Fanatic19 I buy from Bricktanks 🙌
nice Cobi gave themselves the opportunity to show how they can execute interior details with a set this large. the mechanism and greebling is what I expected
Yep it’s so cool
This set is an engineering marvel. Amazing how they did this. Especially knowing it’s going to be so few that get bought. I can’t imagine this one being very profitable. I think it was more of a to see if they can do it.
Agree with that!
It's a great set and a lovely finished model but the hefty price put me off and I couldn't get past the fact that there are no tyres on the wheels. You've done a great job on it and the interior detail is amazing!
Alan, that is one thing I blooming forgot to say! It needed those and a fully moulded turret!
This is an awesome set, and it was absolutely brilliant to be able to watch you build, as your building streams were really fun to watch too.
Thanks trev! Thanks for watching
Would like it, but I've only got space for one and I am holding out hope for a 1:12 Tiger II one day...
Wow!
Had mine since release and honestly had no droop issues with the barrel, the engine hatches I was obsessive with and their movement is good but like I said had to be obsessive with them. Only complaint I had was no rubber or at least no coloring to look like rubber on the road wheels.
My turret is still rigid, I’ll see how it gets on. Yeah agree, only detail missing
I must admit mine doesn’t suffer from any droop (the barrel that is) 😉. Connecting the turret ring was probably the hardest to do on the whole model. Once it was connected I felt like having a sit down and lighting a fag but the thing is I DON’T SMOKE! 😂. It certainly is a fantastic model and will treasure mine for years.
Yeah I’m gonna try and sort the turret out, it’s annoying. Haha it was so difficult but once you get it right it’s easy lol
Quite sad that they don't sell here in Brazil. Really hard to find the sets here.
Bad times
I still do not understand why they use so many small pieces for the turret, some of the smaller things for the turret could have been bigger one pieces, to make it more stable for the barrel. and the barrel as you said could have been in one solid piece. i would have drilled through the barrel pieces, and pushed a small bit of aluminium rod inside them, to make the barrel more rigged/stable
I totally agree! Haven’t resorted to the bar though
Finally the biggest COBI set ever. Hope to grab this one some day. Great review. Well done!
Thanks! Enjoy it when you do!
great review mate, and enjoyed watching you build it 👍
Thanks sie
You did struggle with your ring and then your package! Not sure I like how you say antenna. Great review lots of hand movements , and you really made that voice over work.
😂😂😂 next review I’m getting doll hands
I think he should at least shave those arms 😜
@@DownUnderBricks oh natural
Well...a Brickmania or Brickveteran tank kit easily cost half of this one! So definitely value for $$$ !!!
At that scale?
Wow, that things a work of art.
It’s incredible - even with the minor issues
Cabbage you did well with it. enjoyed the streams i could watch you build it. Best bit was your melt down with that turret ring. Think you had it easy as my collapsed and took some chunks out of my hand and still had to rebuild it. Found that some of the tubbing pipes are very easy to slide out and some way too stiff. I used the really loose ones at top, middle and bottom and stiffer ones going down. only other thing i would say if way too loose a tiny drop of super glue in ends to stop them falling out. Glad you enjoyed it. Think cobi should have a warning in box 1 bag 4 and the turret ring saying very tricky building steps.
Hey Shaun! Appreciate you being there, think I’m gonna do the same with the Kubelwagen, it was fun. I’m so against super gluing sets, but I’m.m tempted with this!
Not buying Kubelwagen as not my cup of tea. If you going to get that set there a executive one with jerry can and grenades. I against gluing as well but i may glue the gun and a few loose bits. may buy some parts and try and sort out the tow cable and if it works i will give you list of parts to sort it out.
@@shaunholmes9900 thanks! 🙏🏼
@@CabbageFace_ Well it involves 6 parts from cobi, steel wire from b and q, a drill and a small pot of super glue. i will let you know how it goes as i using my reference books and the cobi cables are worse then we all feared.
The Turret Ring was super easy once I saw that I mixxed up the order of the pins you put them onto. I hat one of those super thin plates on the wrong side which made the Ring less round ever so slightly. Once I saw my mistake it all popped into place quite nicely.
Hi Cabbage. Found a way to get better Tow Cables. I messaged Armatek uk as they do a metal 1/6 early tiger about the tow cables as spare parts. They cost £60 for all 4 to replaced and will need gorilla tack or a drop of super glue to hold them in place. let me know and i will forward the page for to message them if you want the tow cables.
Nice thanks!
@@CabbageFace_ Ferdie L/E up for pre orders already
Thinking of getting a Cobi tank, as my hand tremors have stopped me building Trumpeter 1/16 scale tanks. Can someone recommend a starter tank, preferably German, so I can see if I can cope with building uses bricks without too many issues. Thanks in advance, enjoy your building everyone.
Ok a good starting point would be a Sherman! Easy to build and nice
Ordered and should be arriving today. Thanks for the advice, if this works out will move on to bigger challenges.@@CabbageFace_
The Sherman proved to be a good introduction. Thanks for the recommendation@@CabbageFace_
@@ba-gg6jo excellent! Which one did you go for? I’d try a 1:28 German tank next, amazing interiors
@@CabbageFace_ I am enjoying the 1:28 tanks, now have Maus, Jagdtiger, Elefant, Tiger 1 and about to start Jagdpanther. Plucking up the courage to buy this one. Cheers.
Me being a 12 year old who is thinking on buying on this, the size and realism sells it
(Yes I can afford it believe it or not)
Yeah it’s great! Enjoy it!
