You should read the thripitakaya. He was not an avathar but he discussed about his previous life. Including being a god. Not Vishnu but just some one who had done a lot of good thing made him reach that state in his next life. For Buddhists gods are just that. Someone who had Done good deeds in the previous life. Gautam Buddha is not the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. There are many differences on believes of Hinduism & Buddhism. In Gita, Lord Krishna(Narayan) told Arjun(Nar) that he was the supreme ruler of all the three lokas (Heven, Earth & Hell). But Buddhism Lord Buddha founded Nirvana ( a state free from birth & death)

If Nirvana is moksh, then what is Mahaparinirvan ? 2. If Moksh is same as Nirvana or Mahaparinirvana and Nirvana & Mahaparinirvan means complete irradiation of the cycle of birth & death, then the final avtar of Lord Vishnu will never happen because for Lord Vishnu to take the Kalki Avtar he has to come to earth right. But once gone in Nirvana or Mahaparinirvana, there is no return. If return was possible to teach humanity Dharma again, there would't be another bodhisatta waiting in the Tushita Heaven waiting for his turn to come to earth and teach the Dharma again. Even Gautam Buddha revealed that uncountable Buddha's will be born as bodhisatta & achieve Buddhahood to teach the dharma. Upagupta Bhante, who is a 3rd century Arahant Monk still existing till now in the Naglok will protect the dharma and remain till the teachings of Gautam Buddha exist. Point is, it is very difficult to say anything in India. Someone or the other will raise an issue saying their thinking is right and others are wrong. Here, the topic of "moksh" was used to contradict my theory. But I used it back. This is not a chest thumping thing. Reality is after death truth will prevail. And truth win.

An informative channel like this should put their facts to check. Buddha wasn't born in northern India but attained enlightment during his meditation in India. Buddha was born in Kapilvastu, Nepal to Nepali tribe of Shakyas. Not every significant acts of Hinduism and Buddhism happened in India just like how not every significant scientific discoveries are from the States. It is really impressive content to boost and promote our religion and keep it intact but do not do this petty act of making it about India and not hinduism.

Lord buddha never declared he is avatar of God or messenger of God. During buddha's time(you can find in tripitaka pali canon) they were only 3 vedas, not 4. And there was no ramayana Or mahabaratha epics. Not even in vocal form. People used to pray village goddess and they were brahmin used to practice 3 vedas. Lord buddha challenged brahmins and won over brahmins. You can see this in many suttas of buddhist texts.
I have watched the Mahabharatham show and in it lord krishna said that it was bhishma pitamaha who was responsible for the war but why? I was raised Buddhist but my current beliefs seem to align more with Hinduism so I’m doing the comparisons between the two. In Theravada Buddhism, Buddha is documented as being Ram in a past life yet he denied being Krishna. I don’t understand it, myself. But I find it interesting.

Someone wants to know the meaning of Moksha and someone wants to know the meaning of avtar. Simple logic.
1. If Nirvana is moksh, then what is Mahaparinirvan ?
2. If Moksh is same as Nirvana or Mahaparinirvana and Nirvana & Mahaparinirvan means complete irradiation of the cycle of birth & death, then the final avtar of Lord Vishnu will never happen because for Lord Vishnu to take the Kalki Avtar he has to come to earth right. But once gone in Nirvana or Mahaparinirvana, there is no return.
If return was possible to teach humanity Dharma again, there would't be another bodhisatta waiting in the Tushita Heaven waiting for his turn to come to earth and teach the Dharma again. Even Gautam Buddha revealed that uncountable Buddha's will be born as bodhisatta & achieve Buddhahood to teach the dharma. Upagupta Bhante, who is a 3rd century Arahant Monk still existing till now in the Naglok will protect the dharma and remain till the teachings of Gautam Buddha exist.
Point is, it is very difficult to say anything in India. Someone or the other will raise an issue saying their thinking is right and others are wrong. Here, the topic of "moksh" was used to contradict my theory. But I used it back. This is not a chest thumping thing. Reality is after death truth will prevail. And truth win.
Lord Krishna told that god resides in everybody ....hence all the souls are not different from god himself ...krishna was a dev and not a god having separately existence specifically ...god don't exist separately ...he was a self realised he knew every soul including himself can be considered paramatma itself being parts and parcels of it

First of all..when Nepal wasn't formed then the land itself came under the provinces of India..and the Prince Siddhartha was also an Indian Which later became Gautam Buddha who enlightened with his teachings to walk in the path of Dharma..Vedas,Puranas are absolute..though written but told by the Almighty..Sanatan Dharma is vast and like I said Dharma is something we follow not Religion..same goes for Sikhism,jainism,Buddhism which are like branches of a tree (Sanatan Dharma).

An informative channel like this should put their facts to check. Buddha wasn't born in northern India but attained enlightment during his meditation in India. Buddha was born in Kapilvastu, Nepal to Nepali tribe of Shakyas. Not every significant acts of Hinduism and Buddhism happened in India just like how not every significant scientific discoveries are from the States. It is really impressive content to boost and promote our religion and keep it intact but do not do this petty act of making it about India and not hinduism.

There was neither a country of India nor there was a country of Nepal at that time. Just like the fact that indian sub continent doesnot refer to India alone,the term Bharatvarsh also doesnot refer to India only. Bharatvarsh not only represents the history of India but also represents the history of all the others countries that is located in indian sub continent. Today,Bharatvarsh is divided into many nations including Nepal,india, and other countries. The nationality of Buddha is neither Indian nor Nepali as there was no concept of nationality at that time. His birthplace was kapilvastu which is in Nepal. So i also agree that Buddha was born in kapilvastu, Nepal. But we cannot say Buddha was a Nepali also we cannot say he was an indian. Lord buddha never declared he is avatar of God or messenger of God. During buddha's time(you can find in tripitaka pali canon) they were only 3 vedas, not 4. And there was no ramayana Or mahabaratha epics. Not even in vocal form.
People used to pray village goddess and they were brahmin used to practice 3 vedas. Lord buddha challenged brahmins and won over brahmins. You can see this in many suttas of buddhist texts.

Lord Buddha is not an avatar of lord Vishnu.In Dasharatha jataka,There's no mention of ayodhya.It was Varanasi.and there's no mention about ravana or lanka.and Sita was the sister of prince rama.There are similarities ,but not the same one.The jatakas are stories from different kalpas .And according to buddhism some things happens in the same way again and again.also the kalpas are a huge time range,so there can be another Rama,sita,lakshmana in any era.Not Vishnu avatar Lord Ramachandra

Once when the Buddhism was fully flourished in Mahabharath some Hindu scholars preached that the Buddha was the nineth incarnation of Vishnu. According to Buddhist teachings, all Buddhas attain the state of nirvana, or perfect enlightenment. When this happens, they leave the cycle of life, death, and rebirth, and they are not rebirth again. Theravada Buddhism they don't use the word reincarnation/carnation. They use the word rebirth only. But Hindus use the word reincarnation/carnation.
