Leila Duly is one of my favorite artists and her books are quality. Walking on the woods book is on my desk asking me to be colored. I'd love to color a page with you ! Have a beautiful April !
I bought this one as well. It is absolutely beautiful, and I hope to color in it this month. I think it is worth the price because of the paper quality and size. Thanks for the flip 😊❤
He is one my favorite. I have started a color along on the page with the mouse but I didn't realize that I can use the same colors on the opposite page. Thank you for that. But bear with me, I am an absolute beginner. And yet, I love her style and I own 3 books of hers now. Thank you for the time and effort you put into making the video. Kisses from Italy. Rita ❤
I do have her first book and I absolutely love it. I have tried and tried and tried to get floribunda but because it's out of print it's nearly impossible to get without spending an insane amount of money. I wanted beautiful planet so desperately and just financially could not do that I keep praying for it though and now this book I desperately need because I love animals. Thank you for doing this flip through because I would not have known about the book otherwise.
To be quite honest, you need tooth in paper in order to layer pencils. That's why I very often find the publishers make poor choices regarding the paper, for the books are colouring books. I wish more books had tooth like for instance Millie Marotta's earlier books. Such a shame she now lets her books being printed on smooth paper. I like colouring with pastel pencils as well and the results are much better in her earlier books.
I mean it depends on the pencil and your style of using them really. I'm not much for layering, so smoother paper makes me happy, plus then I know I can use watercolors or my favorite, Inktense, to color as well because the Inktense work really nicely on this type of cardstock. But yes, if you want to do tons of layers you need some tooth otherwise the pigment has nowhere to grip and go

Her artwork is gorgeous. But I doubt I could do it justice. I can't wait to see what you decide to color in it!
She has another book coming soon too. Apparently 2024 is her year lol. Yeah her artwork is absolutely stunning.

I had only lucked out because a dear friend sent me Floribunda or I'd never have it -- so I get it.
