Loving your flight suit, looking wonderful. On your patchwork, you don't need to sew the down seams of the patchwork separately, just refold the patchwork to realise the seams and keep stitching. You should be able to stitch three sides each time if that makes sense
Ahhh Angela! Remember you’ve got me on the end of the phone if you get stuck with any of it! It doesn’t have to be perfect, finished is better then perfect, if it works and what not then it’s a win ❤
Another suggestion for your Robles with close vision would be to try on some ready reading glasses at the supermarket or department store. Look for low powered ones, perhaps around +1D. Also always have a good light shining over your shoulder on your sewing.
Yes I was interested in a magnifying tool, let us know how you get on if you get one. I find it difficult using my hand held one and fixing what I need to fix with my other hand....I need to be an octopus? Fabbo jumper and really cute socks. Well done for making another flight suit. The first one was a triumph. Sending love to all your family. XXXX🥰
Can’t believe you have the offer of Adam’s personal assistance with the caddie- how brilliant ❤. I made the By Annie one - actually not difficult but a million steps to follow😂😂😂. Got there on the end and it is usable. Hope Ellen is better soon and yes, Amy’s knitting is incredible. Enjoy your party😊. Lynne
Hope Ellen gets better soon and I loved Amy's knitting. I have been doing a bit of knitting. I have purchased the Nina Lee Southbank sweater dress pattern, I have a sweater dress pattern but the neckline is lower and I really love the neckline on yours.
Love your facial expressions around your sister's thoughtful gift and her order to share the KitKats. Amy's handiwork is always amazing! Your caddy is going to be fab. Just take it one step at a time.
Loving Amy's jumper 👌💖.. and totally understand her reasons for not wanting to be too much in the media 🙏. So glad your enjoying your English paper piecing... looking forward to seeing how you progress 💖
Enjoying your vlogmas Angela. Like your Southbank sweater. My favourite pattern I must have 10 in varying lengths!!! Have made a couple of the dresses without the band and just above knee length. I think one is the same colour as your wednesday one. I can't brave the winter white colour it would always be in the wash 😂 Totally appreciate Amy's approach to social media. Have some younger friends who are the same mainly those teaching at secondary level. Thank her for showing the jumper and socks though, the jumper is beautiful. Enjoy your party tonight.
Awe, I love the pics of your sockie feet together! My only daughter and first born turns 25 tomorrow! Daughters are such joys! I can tell by the way you speak about them that you love yours as much as I love mine!
Aaahh that’s so lovely. Happy birthday to your daughter for tomorrow I hope you all have a wonderful day. I do love them very much - they are all so special 🥰❤️
Hi Angela I too have Adam’s caddy pattern and I have chosen my fabrics and notions and it’s all together in a project bag waiting. Like you I’m putting off getting started due to the quilting, layering process and also, if I’m honest, my cutting is not always accurate which I’m told is pretty important for this type of project. I’ll be watching how you get on with interest. 😊
Thank you Angela for another great video. Amy's jumper and socks are beautiful, she us so talented. Totally understand Amy's reasons for having limited social media presence. Enjoy all your time with your girls.
Your vlogmases (and all other videos) are a joy to watch, it’s high and low and lots of emotions, giggles and tears, so real and heartwarming ❤️ Thankyou for sharing with us ❤️ Please don’t feel so bad about ”seeming old”, I’m for one is 70 and I’m sure lots of your followers are much older than you. I think you should embrace life and getting older, it’s after all inevitable. I don’t wear glasses all the time but have ”multifocus ” glasses (can’t remember the correct term and I’m Swedish ☺️) and I use them for sewing, reading, computerwork, cooking and so on. They can sit lower on my nose if I want to watch TV at the same time, but I usually keep them on my head when I don’t need to focus. They are made for me at an optician. Hope you find a solution that works for you! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your lovely family and again, thanks for sharing with us 🤗❤️
Hi Angela I have Daylight lamp with a magnifying glass that I use all the time to do more detailed work. I wear varifocals glasses and the lamp is brilliant.
Hi Angela, loving seeing what you and your family are up to this month! I'm having the same issue with my sight and also contemplating getting a magnifier so I can watch TV and doing some crafting at the same time. Right now it's one or the other for me and getting quite frustrating. Looking forward to seeing what other people suggest and what you try out. If I find anything that works I’ll let you know.
It is so frustrating isn’t it! I find it very annoying! Yes I’m interested to see what others may suggest - and please do let me know if you find anything out or if you get one 🥰 Thank you ❤️
Amy’s jumper is gorgeous and I like the Christmas socks, too. There are all sorts of lighted magnifying devices that could work for you. From desktop versions, ones with a strap that goes around your neck, and stand versions. All can be adjusted like your Serious Readers lights. I have thought about getting one, too. Enjoy the Christmas party, Angela. x
I spoke to my optician about threading needles etc and he made me an inexpensive pair of “sewing glasses”. I just use them for threading a needle or embroidery (I normally wear varifocals). They could made you a pair that works with your contact lenses. I love mine I have them with my sewing stuff. I think they were like £30ish.
The lunch kit is so sweet! Could you ask your friend what pattern she used and if she will share with you, could you please share it with us on your channel? Loving your videos as always, Years ago when I did cross stitch constantly, I purchased a large magnifying glass that was on a cord that you wear around your neck. It was very helpful. I am now a lot older and do wear glasses, but that magnifying glass was not costly so why don't you give it a try? I see Amazon has a lot of them at all different price points and sizes. Happy Sewing and see you soon.🥰
Why don't you get a pair of off the shelf readers, I use contact lens and I have a pair of readers for close up work, I use them on my opticians advice. I love your channel and everything your doing for vlogmas, keep up the great work. Beautiful gift from your sister ❤
Hello again Angela, I look forward to seeing how you progress with the magnifying glass. I need glasses to watch television bit not for EPP where I also need a lot of light as the stitches are small….🫣🤔🤔🤔 xx
What a lovely gift from your sister! Just lovely, can’t wait to see your flight suit finished ❤
Hope Ellen gets better soon!! Love Amy’s jumper and knitted socks xx

Paula’s bag is a lovely gift. The knitted items that your daughter made are beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

Aaahh bless you - thank you so much Adam 🥰❤️🥰 yes I totally agree it needs to be made up and not unmade in a box 🙈
Thank you ❤️
Awe🫠🫠🫠
Hi Angela! I'm glad you finished up all of your Christmas shopping! That's a wonderful feeling!❤

That lunch bag is adorable, your sister is so clever. 💙🌈🧶🍓
Ps hope Ellen feels better soon and Amy's jumper and socks are simply brilliant ❤
Amy’s sweater is gorgeous, and socks are cheerful and fun! Love your sister’s lunch tote!
Awww… the lunch bag is so special! ❤
My mum used to use a magnifier on a stand when doing cross stitch and it had a light. 😊
Bec’s bias binding is lovely. I want to make some! What a nice video today! Hope Ellen is better tomorrow.

Aahh fabulous - good luck with yours too. I’m excited to make mine 🥰❤️
Love the way the flights suit is coming together, if you can make the flights suit I'm sure you can make the bag with Adams help xx
Aahh thank you so much Julia 🥰 that’s so kind of you ❤️

Thanks for sharing this - I’m glad to hear they work well. I’m going to investigate where to get them from etc

How was the lentil soup from yesterday? Love Amy's sweater and both of their socks! I can't believe how fast she whips things up!!
Aaahh the lentil soup was fabulous. Very tasty indeed!
I know she’s so good!
Thank you 🥰
I feel your struggles with seeing tiny stitches and I've asked for a light up magnifying thingy for christmas!
Oohh wonderful I hope you get one. I’m keen to investigate.
Thank you 🥰
