Very cute block. I found I had a few of the flower pieced blocks. I like the idea of coasters. I had never seen the funny pencil thingie, but it was a pencil for mechanical drawing. My gracious, I had forgotten I was required to take that class. I didn't comment as it was not related to sewing. That pencil had a string which you pulled and it unwound paper and "sharpened" the pencil. Enjoy the houseful of young adults and see you tomorrow. Remember to breathe.

Your daughter’s coaster is cute. My friend who taught me to quilt say English paper piecing is so difficult. Good for you and your daughter for learning how to do it.

Aww we have some of those epp flower coasters from a friend who made them for our wedding present! They are still on the fireplace. I’ve never tried it before as not sure if I’d enjoy it as it looks quite fiddly. Thanks for sharing my crochet snowman cover. Yes all 5 of ours are on the fireplace in the front room and they each have a choc orange underneath xx

I love pencils too 😂 if I ever go anywhere (national trust property etc) I always treat myself to a pencil as a reminder. I use them when I’m tracing my patterns.
Your videos are always great, whether you do lots of outings or just chill at home. I feel like I'm watching a friend and will really miss them when vlogmas is over. I have 3 sons so can relate to the mayhem in the home at xmas. My eldest is coming home for 2 weeks this Friday night and can't wait to see him. He lives in Canberra as he moved for work and we live near Perth so only see him twice a year. Our youngest 2 are still at home 🏡 Lisa x 🇦🇺

I've always been curious about English paper piecing, so thanks for sharing Amy's new interest. I understand the discomfort concerning a sewing machine. They can be finiky, which is why I sold my serger. Just couldn't stand it! Lol
Hi Angela.im also doing English paper piecing…I’m making a hand made quilt it is about a single bed size at the moment….it has taken me about 4 years so far 😂 I pick it up when I’m in the mood I will get it finished sometime ❤😊
I’m getting spoiled seeing your happy face every day. The earrings are so pretty! I’m trying to stay calm, but I’m frantically baking all week. I somehow got way behind on my baking this year. I agree with you though… Christmas always works itself out. I’m still making the Christmas pj’s for my daughter , her family and myself. I have to keep telling myself to stay calm. Love your Vlogmas videos!!!

Congratulations on your English paper piecing. I would continue to stitch the hexagons together and they will all line up in the end. Re the coaster, I would be tempted to make another flower in EPP and hand sew the two together with a bit of interfacing to pad. Be interested to see what Amy does in the end. I miss her knitting updates, she is very talented, just in a different way to her Mom ❤ Ps how can I buy you a coffee? Xx
